I didnt really get to experience all this restaurant has to offer except for the view. I didn't try any mixed drinks or the food. However it's a really nice view of the river and on a clear day it will probably be even better.
Top Deck was our last stop for the night and it was the best stop! We had a group of people with us and the drinks were flowing! I had a couple of beers but my friend got the Top Deck Mojiot which was so sweet but in the best way! We also tried the watermelon Margarita which is perfect for the summer! It was so refreshing and perfect for the hot summer night. The views were amazing and the staff was so friendly They refilled our water glasses every time and made sure everyone had a safe ride.
Great venue/space! Nice selection of drinks and apps. The service was decent and the music choice just ok.
One of my favorite roof top bars! Great views of the river and $3 rose! Ordered food for a quick bite the spinach dip and feta pasta were amazing. Our server McKenzie was really tentative, gave us good recommendations and served us quickly. Most of the staff members were warm and welcoming and even joked when I was left to finish my drink outside of the restaurant. Overall this rooftop bar has great menu options that is suitable for all.
As a beer drinker I was no impressed with the selection. I was impressed with the view and the staff. Very nice staff, friendly and prompt. If you like mixed drinks this would be a great spot to try.
You will not find a better rooftop view for sunset, period. The drinks are great here, and the crab cakes here are incredible, but the view is the river, the bridge, and the sunset is unmatched. If you're in town, you can't miss going here.
Day drinking in Savannah offers lots of options, we met up with a few friends during our trip over from Hilton Head Island for an afternoon of cocktails and good conversation. After a mediocre lunch down by the river we decided to find a venue with a great view so we landed here. The interior bar was mostly empty and the rooftop deck had a few patrons drinking local brews which is pretty abundant here in the "Hostess City of the South". We opted to sit outside at a partially shaded high-top table facing the river, fortunately there were a few fans pointed our way to cut through the humidity. This is a beautiful bar and the service today was exceptional which may be attributed to the number of people here but none the less this was my experience others seem to feel differently. There are lots of choices here whether you're a beer drinker, a whiskey aficionado or a wine connoisseur - I chose a can beer brewed by the local Service Brewery named Señor Delicisos, it was ice cold and served with a lime wedge, it's a play on the Mexican lager beer industry and a delicious rendition I must say. I was hoping this perch would provide an exceptional view of any giant container ships that may be entering or exiting the harbor, unfortunately there was only one older smaller vessels that was less than impressive but it still offered something to look at through our beer goggles. This open air rooftop bar is very clean and organized with great furnishings inside and out, our server Kenzie was on top of things and checked in often without being a distraction. This is definitely a spot I recommend trying out if you're in town or a resident...
After walking around in the hot Savannah heat we stumbled across Top Deck Bar. We decided to eat an drink indoors instead of their massive patio. Service 5 stars. Our waitress had a lot of tables, but didn't seem to handle going all over the restaurant. Food: 3 stars. I would say for a bite to eat or appetizers it was good. We pretty much ordered all the appetizers and crab cake sliders. Ambiance : 4 stars. it would be a great place to have a sunset bite or drink to watch the sunset.
Wasn't expecting much after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. We ended up here after learning that our first choice of rooftop bar was closed for a private party (annoying) as this had happened to us a couple times lately with rooftop bars. Anyway, most of the bad reviews were based on bad service, but we had a great server! Ask for Kenzie, she was very attentive and quick! Had a great view of the river and bridge and the drinks were pretty good. I knocked off one star just for the lack of outdoor ambiance and the plastic cups they use.
Food was just alright, it's not worth it for the price taste wise, quantity you get your bang for your buck but nothing stood out to me that was jaw dropping good. Service was alright the employees could tell we were not from Savannah so they helped where they could, they did seem a little annoyed but I'm not sure at what and I'm also dramatic maybe we were be annoying It looked like a fun bar for sports games though just not a girls bachelorette trip the locals sitting next to us talked to our party more than the employees
I went there looking to do some remote working and I was out of juice. They were lovely and gave me a great spot where I could plug in. Had a drink. Fold was good. Service was excellent. Great decor and views.

This place has a great view of the River from the rooftop. The food is delicious. We had kettle chips, crab cake sliders and the Sicilian sandwich. The drinks were also fantastic. We had a mixed drink and the $3 everyday rose. The drinks were slow to be made but they tasted wonderful. Eating outside is a great option, especially because the inside and the hallway kinda smelled not great. Staff was very friendly and it was an overall positive experience. read more

Wonderful views of the Mississippi and surrounding Savannah landscape. The bar is surrounded by TVs and the liquor selection is really good. There is an outdoor deck, but smoking I believe smoking isn't allowed. Overall great spot for the visuals and Atmosphere. read more

A bar hotel will a pretty view (indoor and outdoor seating) of the river. It wasn't anything outstandingly amazing, but it was a good experience with a beautiful view. If you want a pretty river view with decently-priced drinks in indoor/outdoor seating, Top Deck works just fine. PROS: -A lovely view. We came when it was raining, so we didn't really get to use it, but the outdoor "deck" was fantastic. It's wrapped around and perfect for looking at the river. We saw a ton of tugboats and cranes and other river stuff. There are nice cushions for the outdoor chairs as well as tables to put your drinks down while you're outside. -Not a fan of outside? There's a very large and expansive indoor area as well. There is bar seating as well as table seating. The floor-to-ceiling windows still allow you to enjoy the view (while enjoying the AC at the same time) and there are multiple TVs within the indoor area as well. -Well-located. The base floor allows you to easily access the river and walk along the river. The mid-floor lobby level allows you to easily walk into the city when you're ready. A large parking lot outside serves as the hotel's parking lot but also allows for easy parking if you're the DD. -For a rooftop bar, the prices were pretty good for beers. We paid more at a restaurant the night before. And you get a bonus rooftop view here too! CONS: -Top Deck has a limited food menu, but it's particularly upscale food for a bar menu. You may or may not find food options that whet your appetite while you're there. There is a seafood-esque restaurant at the base floor of the hotel, though. read more

The view from Top Deck is stunning. We were shocked at how few people were here at sunset. We were greeted when we arrived and told we could seat ourselves. It took quite some time for someone to come and take our order. We ordered 2 Tito's martinis- up, dry and dirty with extra olives. Our waitress brought them out and said she forgot to ask how we wanted them garnished so she decided to garnish them with lime wedges. That's a first for us! She had a very good sense of humor and returned a few minutes later with dirty martinis garnished with olives Top Deck is hard to find which may explain why it wasn't packed. The music was great. Fabulous spot just needs some more staff training and promotion and signage. read more
Location: Located in downtown with a magnificent view. Parking: You do not need to worry much about parking. You can park on the street or in any nearby parking lot. Service: The service is ok, the bartender was very friendly. Food quality: This is a bar and grill restaurant. We only came to this place for drinks and the drinks are normal, nothing extraordinary. We ordered old fashioned and sex on the beach. Price: We spent around $40 in 3 drinks. Atmosphere: In the evenings, the music can be quite noisy, it is not a fancy or classy bar. Recommendation: The best thing about this bar is the view, you can also sit outdoors and have a drink and admire the beautiful view. You do not need a reservation. If your hotel is in the same area, try to walk to the bar because at night, the streets are busy with shops, street performances, and festivities along the River St Follow me. Fabulous view!!!! I've been to a lot of places in Savannah in the last few years and this one just might have the best view in town. Now it's a little tricky to find. You have to enter The Cotton Sail Hotel and get into the elevator and take it to the top. Bring your ID. They have a guy at the entrance that checks your ID and gives you a stamp on the back of your hand. It's a little confusing when you get in there. There is a bar with tables around the bar and then there are tables all along the wrap around outside deck. We were inside at a table at first and it didn't seem that there is table service inside. A table outside opened up and we moved outside. That's where the best view is. Outside there are servers. The selection of beer is great. We ordered a yuengling, UFO and a Stella on draft. We were planning on going out for dinner later so we just ordered a Truffle Pretzel. It came with beer cheese, yellow mustard and hummus. The pretzel was great with the cheese and mustard. The hummus wasn't very good. The place is super busy so service is slow. Don't go when you are rushed on time. And try and go to see the sunset. You won't be disappointed! read more

Yum yum yum! Y'all. I think I found my favorite rooftop in Savannah. They have $3 Rose all day...sparkling or still. That alone is a game-changer! We also had the best wings we've had here in Savannah so far. They were perfectly cooked and the flavor was on point. The spinach dip was also fantastic. I cannot wait yo go back! read more

What a great view! Drinks are cheaper here than other bars so we came back often. A lot of room, great beers, affordable and quick. Bartenders were so nice. The set up is great to be in the AC and then go check out the River view and come back in to cool off. read more

This was on the top of our beautiful hotel (cotton sail) it's a very nice bar/lounge. Decorated really nice, when we were there it was cold out, but the outside couch set up would be great to sit out have an app and a drink ... drinks were deff pricey. ...we didn't get anything really fun (like their hibiscus martini $12) but like vodka/soda $8/9? We did try some apps. .. the pimento cheese and endive, very tasty said homemade. ..... also a cheese tray, yum, yum, I loved the fig spread with cheese and toast points! Good place to hang out before going out! Bartenders were nice too! read more

Awesome roof deck bar. The wait staff were friendly and the environment was comfortable. They have couches and table seating outside. We chose the couches for our large group. It was a little hot but our crew enjoyed the mimosa tower. read more

Amazing views. Outdoor and indoor seating. I reviewed the menu several times before choosing the pot roast sliders. They were to die for. The meat was tender and juicy. The amount of food was perfect for lunch time. The drink menu had several yummy combinations. A must visit when in town. read more
Cute deck. Didn't eat anything just had wine but came for the rooftop. Got some cute pics and had a good glass of wine. The bartender was really nice. Wanna come back for food. Only issue was I didn't see any desserts on the menu and I was going for a wine and desserts type of vibe. All good though. Glad I went read more

My wife and I are staying at The Cotton Sail. Beautiful Hilton property with amazing service from the valet to checkin. My issue is w the ToP Deck Bar. The young lady working tonight hit me w the infamous tourist tax. Saw it from a mile away but chose to roll w it cause I didn't wanna raise a fuss. This post is to warn the rookies of the 4x$9 charges. Keep an eye on your invoice. Wifey and I didn't order 4 drinks. See below- Your Welcome! read more

Overall, my experience at Top Deck was very disappointing. I was very excited about the rooftop bar and the atmosphere was great! We had a great view from our outdoor seats along the edge of the roof. However, I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but we had to wait over 30 min to even be acknowledged or be able to order anything. At one point, my fiancé went to the bar himself to order drinks and some food and he was told if we wanted food, we needed to order with a server outside. We finally got drinks after flagging down a server and they were actually very good. However, we never got the appetizer we ordered. We left after one drink each to find a better place to hang out. read more

The views are amazing! Primo location on the river. The not so good....we waited over 20 minutes and no waiters came to take our order. Very slow service at the stools outside. But as soon as we went inside the bartender was prompt and friendly. Still I would come back just for the views. read more

They've got the best spinach dip in town! The rooftop has a great view of the bridge and the river, and the drinks are great! We had a large group and were celebrating a birthday, looking for a sunny spot to enjoy drinks and hang out. Top Deck was just that! It was perfect for day drinking, although I'm sure it's even more fun at night. The spinach artichoke dip was the best thing I think I've ever eaten, so you'd be remiss to not order a serving of that. The spot is perfect for photos as well! You'll want to walk from wherever you are staying to get here, otherwise your only option is valet parking. read more

I went to this place on August during a girls trip to Savannah GA. What a great place. Everything we had here was really good. Service to management was excellent. The sweet potato chips are killer if you love garlic. I will be adding pictures so you can see for yourselves. It tasted as good as it looked. If you want the best view for Savannah then this place is a must visit and experience. 5 star for sure. read more

Stoped in today for a lite bit with cocktails. You have to wait on yourself and pay at the bar first not the most enjoyable experience. Ordered the cheese board of which I have ordered many times at different Restraunt's. The worst cheeses I've have ever had. If your not hungry the view is excellent. read more

I've been here several times to enjoy the view, but our last visit really turned me off to going here again. My wife and I had family in town so we decided to take them up to Top Deck for a sunset toast. When we arrived, the guy at the front podium just grunted when I said hello and we went off to find seats outside. We found a table and a short while later menus were offered. We ordered a bottle of wine and began to watch the sunset. It literally took about 25 minutes for the wine to arrive. I've been here several times and on this visit, the place was no where near as busy as I've seen it previously. After missing a sunset toast, the wine arrived. The waitress goes "oh the one you ordered wasn't stocked so I brought this instead" as she pours four glasses. We weren't offered a chance to taste the replacement or an apology for the wait or substitution. As she poured the last glass, she spilled almost half of it on the table. Her response: "Oh shit" not, "oh shit, I'm sorry" or "let me clean that up" or even "oh shit, I'm a shitty waitress." Instead the spilled wine sat on the table for the duration of our stay as a reminder of why I won't be coming back here. read more
Came over here after starting the evening off at Rocks on the Roof. We were excited to see ample deck seating with an even better view and better menu prices on food and drinks. The deck is much better and bigger than others and well designed. The service here is very friendly, but the two stars off have to do with how slow. Maybe understaffed? Waiting over an hour for food to arrive and over and hour in between drinks was disappointing. We will probably come back and give it another shot. Food was good, the wings weren't over sauced and the salad was tasty. read more

We wanted to check out Top Deck because we had been told it's one of the best rooftop views in Savannah and the views alone are definitely worth the visit alone. We got a great table outside and the patio area of the rooftop bar was pretty full for a Monday around 6pm with only a few guests staying inside where the views are still nice. The wait staff was friendly and offered up some drink selections and I took her recommendation to get the Top Deck Mojito. It had Acai Spirit, Coconut Rum, Mint, Berries, and Lime. The berry flavor makes it a little non traditional for a Mojito but overall it was a decent drink. My boyfriend had an Old Fashioned with a Savannah Bourbon which was a heavy pour (something he appreciates) and enjoyed it. We decided to split the pretzel as an appetizer before leaving for our dinner reservation. It was served with hummus, mustard, and beer cheese. The pretzel was kind of bland and dry while none of the dips really impressed us. Overall Top Deck is worth checking out for a drink but didn't blow us away by any means. It was fairly average as many previous reviews have stated. read more
