We ordered a burger and I ordered the filet with mashed potatoes and horseradish sauce as my meal even though it was an app. Service was good. Big place and not very crowded on a Saturday night. Stopped here for the first time the other night to pick up something to eat on the way home since I had not tried it yet. If I'm ordering to go food at a place I can get a beer, I will go to the bar and sit at the bar check the place out and order something to go while I have a drink. I got great service from Kaitlyn I think... Got me a beer quickly and a menu so I could look at it. I decided on a Phillycheese with some onion rings since french fries tend to get colder on the way home. Tons of meat and perfectly cooked onions and peppers and provolone cheese. Then I noticed the bottle of Pussers Rum in front of me and I thought of my favorite drink... A painkiller. When I ask if they knew how to do it they did and I got one and it was great.!!! Arrived early, so there were not many people there. Lots of TVs to watch the games. Service was great. Was always around the table to refill drinks and make sure we were taken care of. Fried green beans were nice. They definitely tasted fresh. Loved the horseradish dip that came with them. The burger was more on the medium well side. It was both juicy and had a good char on it. It was a little weird the way the lettuce, tomato, and pickle was piled on the side. But it was easy to pile on the burger. Onion rings were kind of meh. The whole thing was kinda underwhelming. We stopped in to get a bite as we were in the area. The Philly was good but the portions were small and the fires were too salty. The salad was good but not a lot of chicken on it and the chocolate delight was dry and small felt like a kids dessert. Our server was sweet and attentive. If you like the Bulldogs this place is screaming with college football decor. We (3 adults, 3 kids) arrived at 1:00 pm on a Sunday - restaurant was maybe 3/4 full. Our server was nice, but kind of vanished after taking orders (got refills for non- waters, but never filled water glasses.) Drinks came relatively fast the first time, and we ordered a pretzel appetizer. The pretzel took around 15 min to get. Sometime in there we ordered our meals. Then the wait started. Almost 1 HOUR before we got our food. Wings: overpriced and meh, a little on the dry side and cool. Fish & Chips: not too bad, just a *tad* undercooked (batter touching the fish) flavor was decent though. Kids tenders: a little dry but not terrible. Mac & Cheese: good, family style. Cheesesteak: inside dry, bottom bun was greasy, flavor was mid. Shrimp: good flavor! I went here on a whim. Was suuuuper hungry so idk if it was really good for me being hungry or in general Me and my bestie tend to get apps first in places we are trying for the first time . Great open atmosphere. Service was slow as they were understaffed. It caused our order to a be served at just about room temperature. I had hot wings and ordered the hottest version. They were wimpy but the flavor was on point. All the orders for my table and others looked good and the others in my party were very happy with their meal. While I would consider this place better than the establishment it replaced, Tin lizzys, I don't think that statement means a lot. The new restaurant is definitely more brightly lit and gave the establishment a face lift. However, it's not exactly where I would want to go to watch the game (I feel like they are marketing themselves as the game day restaurant of choice.) Some positive things are that the servers are super nice and attentive. I did come in to watch the Monday night game, so it wasn't super busy. They claim that their wings are not microwaved which is also a plus. I don't think I could really tell the difference anyway. However, I don't think the TV set up is the most ideal. Additionally, the app they use to listen o the tv doesn't work if you're sat too far from the tv. The wings were fair, but I didn't care much for the appetizers or nachos. However, on Monday nights they do have a deal where all appetizers are 6$ even the expensive ones. I just wouldn't suggest ordering the nachos or the egg rolls. read more

After visiting a few times, mostly for beer and burgers ... The atmosphere is the typical bar/pub, with a decent food and beer selection. The staff are all friendly, very "chill" vibe. The main concern is the food quality is not consistent - they will leave off ingredients, not make the same things the same way. The kitchen/prep staff needs to review the menu and read it so they know what the customer expects. read more

This place has gone downhill. The fried green tomatoes were mediocre and the wings were not nearly as good as usual. There were two things that caused the bad review. We ordered nachos and the chips were so stale, it was hard to eat them. That's unacceptable, when you have two different kinds of nachos on the menu. Also, we sat there and listened to the manager loudly reprimand a young server for how many drinks were on their customer's tables that haven't been rung up. She even yelled "that is stealing". We ate here for lunch early on a Saturday morning after they opened up. We got a table right away. Our waitress Sierra was very good and gave great service. I ordered the Guinness battered fish and chips and my wife got the Cobb salad. Only issue we had that it did take about 20 minutes to get our food. Maybe because the kitchen was just starting up. Stopped in here for a quick lunch while visiting my daughter in Winder. This is a locally owned restaurant. Was pleased we visited in Wing Day! Wings were .60 and boneless were half off. We were seated quickly, our waitress grabbed our drinks. We all ordered...wings! My son in law ordered milf boneless, my daughter hot bone in, my son Carolina bbq bone in and onion rings. Another failed attempt to give this restaurant another chance. Got sat right away and than 15 minutes later we still did not see a waitress. Had to remind the hostess we were there. Silverware was dirty, beer was bitter like it had gone bad and the Waitresses all but 1 had their hair down (i feel that in the food industry all hair should be pulled back). Hello, I went to this restaurant not because I wanted to, but because everything else was a hour wait. I was disappointed in this establishment , you would expect this place to be on top as the name is "Top Dawg Tavern" but it was not, the only thing true is that dogs would definitely love this place as dogs would eat anything, Including trash like the food here. The servers were nice and I got my beverage, which was good so I had high hopes for this place but my hopes were stepped on and crushed under someone's foot after I got my entree. The waitress gave me my food, which was the teriyaki wings served with ranch. The wings looked good but I would soon realize that looks are deceiving, which I knew that already but I was naive and I wanted to give this pitiful establishment a try. The wings were thick, slippery and wet (some of you may like wings like this but not me with my high taste palette), I had ate one of them and it was okay, I started another wing (because I was hungry, not because I particularly liked it) I almost ate all of the second wing before I saw something red in the wing, I showed it to my family as I was concerned as to what it was. My mother had told me that it was blood and as soon as I heard her say that, I immediately went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I was very disgusted that I had just consumed raw chicken with blood still in it. Eating raw chicken is disgusting as it is but raw chicken will blood in it is absolutely revolting. My family didn't even like their food either, they were also very disappointed along with me. I can say that nobody will ever catch me in this restaurant ever again, and neither should you unless you like food that is equivalent to dog food (which is fine I suppose, that just means you have a poor taste palette - I don't mean to insult any of you but it's a fact.) A lesson for all of us in the future is to make sure to read reviews on a restaurant that you have never heard of. I think there's a reason why this establishment isn't popular. If anyone reads this that works for this establishment, please work on making your food better because this is just embarrassing. I don't know if it's just the establishment itself or if it's the cooks. So have a big talk with them to make sure the food is at least edible and maybe watch them while they cook to make sure they're not cooking blindfolded because it sure tastes that way. Have a nice day, if you eat here then I highly doubt that you'll think you had a nice day after eating the food here. Ps - After I had ate the raw bloody monstrosity my stomach started hurting, it was almost like the chicken was still running around in my stomach.
