Been a customer since last fall. Mother's Day weekend, had an appt at 11. At 11:20, I said something along with ANOTHER customer who's tech left her sitting without an explanation , as she attended to a little girl. Owner explained that customer had an appt. Lady had NO issue with that except COMMUNICATE that to the customer. Owner began, asking another tech what was taking so long? 3rd customer became upset as the tech began to rush at the request of the owner. I finally left at 11:35. I told them cancel my appt! If we can't come in 40 min late, what gives you the right to have customers waiting, and say NOTHING. I will NEVER go back! no apology bc they didn't care. they over booked and was only concerned about the money. 3 UNHAPPY customers. My kids did this for me as a gift, I am recovering from major surgery. HORRIBLE! read more

Hidden and facing away from the main road is Top Art, nail and spa specialty services. Through word of mouth I went to the spa when I needed a walk-in for a Swedish massage, $80. A little pricey but I was really stressed and needed the handy work of someone good. The staff was inviting and while I waited they let me sit in their pedicure chair. If I had known how good their chairs were I probably would have saved some rubies and opted for the pedicure instead. I should also mention that real chair massages are available for $15 to $40, but my stress was high. It was kinda like when you're so hungry you feel like you need to order two dishes, totally unnessassary. No regrets though. The spa room was relaxing with peaceful music that always makes me want to take a nap. I think that's the point anyhow. The masseuse was good at her craft and pinpointed my aches and pains. The only strange and awkward part was when she massaged my butt. Haha. It sounds funny now that I think about it but, most places I had been to avoid that awkwardness I guess. Oh... another salon that does free shoulder massages while your nails dry! YES! Like Genesis in the city, I'd gladly pay a few more dollars for my pedicure knowing that I'll get a complimentary neck/shoulder massage while my nails are drying. The location is great- right across from the Cheesecake Factory in Cherry Hill. Although with the Cherry Hill Mall right down the street.... you might come home spending more money then you planned on! It was rushed, my cuticles aren't evenly trimmed and my polish is uneven as well. The simple line design I asked for is pretty sloppy and looks as if I did it at home. I couldn't stay to get them fixed since I was in a rush to meet up with friends, but had called in to get them fixed the next morning. Came here for a pedicure (Peppermint Spa Pedicure $57) and was not disappointed! These ladies do not rush the process. They take time to pamper you and help you relax. Spa pedicure included salt scrub, lotion, hot towels, hot stones, and essential oils. They did a great job with the polish, and I left feeling incredibly relaxed! I was further impressed by the cleanliness of the salon. They use bags before filling the tubs with water, which is something I always look for in nail salons. I was in town for a wedding this past weekend and on Friday I went in to get a gel manicure and pedicure. Within 3 hours of getting my gel manicure, the polish was lifting up on the sides and started chipping. I was so excited to splurge for once on my nails and it was a complete waste of money. They also left a lot of polish on my skin and it looked like a fifth grader painted my nails, which I thought would just come off when I washed my hands but I think it was part of the reason for the chipping. Unfortunately I did not have time to go back to have them redo it. Here is it three days later and I have no nail polish on my nails. I wish I had saved the money and just painted them myself with regular polish because they would have looked better than the manicure. I absolutely adore this place. I have been here twice and can't believe I am first person to review Top Art. I hesitated to grant the five stars as I am worried that it will get filtered but this place really deserves every star. Top Art is located next to the Sherwin Williams that is across from the Cheesecake Factory. I accidentally noticed it while waiting at the light by the Cheesecake Factory and needing a pedicure I impulsively whipped across Haddonfield Ave to check it out. Top Art is a very simple quiet salon so it might not be for everyone. There is one large tv in the place but they keep the volume down so you have to make a conscious choice to watch it. The first time I visited Top Art they had a nice soothing mix of classical music playing in the background. Tonight they had a real nice smooth jazz selection playing. The pedicure starts out with the standard foot soak, nail trim and file. They do not get out the razor and offer to shave the calluses off your feet which is fine by me because I always decline that anyway. They may offer that if you request it but I haven't seen any callus shaving in my two visits. Next comes the leg and foot massage. They massage your legs with both an exfoliant and an ultra rich emollient cream that smells really nice. But wait, it gets even better as the pedicurist then produces a hot stone and gives you an amazing hot stone leg massage. I have never had a hot stone massage before but know that I will be making an appointment with Top Art for this service in the near future. The first time I came here I was thrown off a bit when they weaved tissue between my toes rather than inserting the standard foam toe separators. I soon got over that realizing that those things are probably a huge expense and definitely are not biodegradable. They also use pedicure fans to dry your nails rather than the UV lamps used at most places. I was a little leery of this the first time and was concerned that my nails wouldn't set as well. They top your toenails off with a drying oil and both pedicures were well preserved. Well, I hope this review does not get filtered. I know I will be visiting Top Art a lot in the future. read more

I had the sudden urge to get my nails done on a Sunday afternoon and none of the places in my area were open. I found Top Art on Yelp and even though it was a bit far from where I live, I called to see if they would have time to complete a mani/pedi if I arrived 45 minutes before closing. They told me that would be fine. When I arrived, the shop was empty except for the three staff members, one of whom greeted me at the door. She immediately sat me down in the pedicure chair and got to work. Imagine my surprise when she whipped out the hot stones and said they came standard with every pedi. Wow! One of the most relaxing pedicures I've ever had. While still getting my pedicure, another lovely lady came over and started on my manicure (removing old polish, getting rid of dead skin, etc). When it was time for me to get my gel nails done, they showed me to a chair and completed my nails in under fifteen minutes. And, to top it all off, every time we had to wait for one coat to dry, one of the ladies would give me a neck and shoulder massage! Finally, they sat me down in a comfy chair near the door to UV light my toes, and again gave me a massage. A good fiftteen minutes! It was heavenly, as were their prices. I'll be honest: I don't remember exactly what I paid, but for the quality of the mani/pedi and the service (to reiterate: MASSAGE) it was very good. Now, almost a year later, I'm still willing to make the almost-40 minute drive for the service I receive every time I go to Top Art. After reading all the great reviews I stopped at Top Art for a mani-pedi on a Friday afternoon. I was greeted and taken right away since I was the only customer. Great bc I hate waiting and I was in a time crunch. They were able to do both services at the same time which put me at ease so I wouldn't have to rush. I really appreciated that! Pedicure was great - nice exfoliation, pain-free trimming and filing, smooth polish application. Manicure was just as good - no cuts when trimming cuticles yay! So why the 3 stars? Though the services were thorough and above average I was unnerved by a few things. First off I had opted for the regular pedicure. I was repeatedly asked if I wanted to upgrade to a more expensive pedi. Kinda hard to relax when someone is trying to upsell you! Secondly I had mentioned I get my eyebrows threaded and the woman doing my manicure zeroed in on my brows and said, "No, not even." Ummm really bc I just saw them and they looked damn near perfect! She kept glaring at my eyebrows like they insulted her somehow! She kept asking if she could fix them which I told her several times no thank you I don't wax my face. Eyebrow glaring continued for duration of services. While the services were well done I just don't see myself going back. I'm no stranger to a good mani-pedi and I know what I like. I really didn't want to write a review of this place, because I love that right now it's one of Cherry Hill's best kept secrets, but I found Top Art through Yelp, so I figured it was my responsibility to do so! Top Art is clean and open, not crammed like most nail salons {including my old go-to, Dream Tips}. I'm always greeted warmly, and I rarely have to wait. Pedicures come standard with a hot stone massage, and they are thorough! My "standard" pedi was over 40 minutes. My manicure was lovely as well. I also get my eyebrows waxed at Top Art. They do eyebrow waxes out in the open in a barber-style chair, so that might freak some people out, but I wasn't bothered, My eyebrows turned out great, but the best part was the scalp massage that was included! I went to this salon for the first time because the Yelp reviews were so good. I was looking for a relaxing pedicure with a good leg/foot massage, and an eyebrow wax that didn't leave me lopsided. I was very pleased with my experience, to say the least! I walked in with no appointment on a Friday afternoon and I was taken right away. My tech did my eyebrows first (which I love because I get very red, and it gave time for some of it to go away before I left). She was interested in how I wanted my brows shaped, and discussed it with me before the waxing. After she cleaned off the wax, she proceeded to massage my eyebrows, my temples and part of my head. I felt like I was getting a mini-facial! It was so relaxing! After my brows, she led me to the pedicure chair where she made sure I was completely comfortable with the water temp, the chair massager, and position before she started my toes. I only had time for the basic pedicure, but that was fine with her. (She told me the higher end pedicures can take about an hour). She was very accommodating. The entire pedicure she was very gentle and made me feel relaxed. My legs were massaged throughout the whole process, with exfoliant, lotion and then hot stones - all the way to my knees. At the end, she rubbed lotion into my legs and feet for at least 5 minutes per side. Exactly what I needed! After my polish was on, she took me to the drying station and after she cleaned her station she came back and gave me a shoulder massage! I was very happy with the entire experience. The pedicure was only $27! I've paid twice as much for a shotty job, and I will never do that again! Top Art has earned my business, and I will be telling everyone I know! Came to Top Art on a whim while running errands in the area. Instead of driving the opposite direction to my usual place I figured I would try this one for a gel manicure. They were busy for the holiday as expected, but they took a little long to greet me after I walked in. Once they did they took me back to pick my color and got started shortly after. They put moisturizing gloves on your hands during the manicure exposing the fingertips and at the end took them off to do the hand massage instead of using lotion. They also give a shoulder massage while your nails are drying. Both firsts for me. Aside from those nice touches, the manicure was just okay. I actually had to refile my nails when I got home because the edges weren't smooth, gel was leftover underneath the nails, and some nails weren't even. Lady didn't engage with me that much. It was a fine job, but it could have been better. If I am in the area again I would come back for a pedicure. read more

This is my first time using Yelp to review a business, but I felt compelled to share my experience with Top Art. I have been there a handful of times and every time, I've been so impressed with the quality of service and how long my polish lasts. Today, I went in during my lunch break for a pedicure and Chen took care of me. She did a wonderful job and was so friendly. Their regular pedicures include a hot stone leg massage and a shoulder massage while you sit at the drying station, which is above and beyond. After I left the salon, I put on my flats in a haste without checking to make sure my nails were completely dry and wound up smudging the polish on both my big toes. Since I work down the street, I decided to drop in a little later and just ask Chen to touch them up. She graciously did so and assured me that it happens all the time. She even put an extra coat on the non-damaged nails to ensure they matched the thicker coats on the big toes. When she took me over to the dryer, I tried to give her a few dollars in thanks, and she wouldn't take it and said it was no problem and it happens all the time. She then proceeded to massage my shoulders again! She and the other employees there are so sweet and professional and I won't be going anywhere else for my nails from this point forward! read more

Terrible owner, my nails were messed up to the point they were popping off I told her either I get a refund or I will take a pedicure I refuse to let them do my nails over again after 4 of them popped off within a week getting them done. went to be compensated with a pedicure instead of my getting a refund, she made me pay for the pedicure and then told me I can make an appointment for my nails. Then when I had to go get my debit card out the car they made it seem like I was about to walk out with out paying telling me to leave my belongings in the store. owner is completely ignorant and doesn't care about customer satisfaction at all. I am a business owner myself and if I had a client that was unhappy and wanted another service to compensate I would offer them something for free on top of fixing the original issue. It's called making the customer happy especially if I was in the wrong. I struggled with posting this review only because I really don't want to deter anyone from coming here. Stopped coming after almost 3 years due to two consecutive bad experiences with the same woman (who I intentionally tried not to get the second time). As I said, I don't want to deter anyone from coming because the other ladies are great. I've ha really good experiences here. They give shoulder massages at the end, and yes, prices are a little higher than their competitors.. However the only reason why am posting this is because it did happen and hopefully they will not allow this to reoccur with someone else. The woman who did my nails talked me into getting tips on all of my fingernails when I only had two nails that were shorter than the others. The price she charged was $70 because she put gel on top. The end result was thick, which to me was seriously uncomfortable since getting anything on my nail except for a fresh polish is not what I'm used to. I agreed to this service because I was going away on vacation and trusted her professional opinion. Also, the woman next to me had tips with gel and nails looked amazing (different service professional of course). I am also fully aware that people will upsell if they can and, it was a special occasion so why not? I indulged. My experience with her was not so pleasant and since I was not satisfied with the result, I specifically asked for the younger girl whose work I admired (and who did the customers nails who sat next to me) to do my refill. When I arrived for my refill, they sent me to the lady who did my nails the first time. I kindly informed her that my appointment was scheduled with someone else. She said that she did my nails last time and asked me directly what was wrong with her, putting me on the spot. Clearly it was uncomfortable and I should have left then. I asked for her to remove the tips as 1) I am not used to having them 2) it was a costly upkeep and 3) it wasn't good for my natural nails. After trying to convince me not to remove them and me explaining the reasons stated above (should I even of had to though?) she proceeded with an attitude and began yanking the nails off with nail clippers, breaking my middle finger nail underneath (my real nail) low enough to hurt/burn. I expressed concern and asked if she could try to preserve my nails as they were not short to begin with. It was definitely tense at this point with her, I was not at ease for a service I typically look forward to - and relaxing. I couldn't understand why this woman got offended. She began speaking her native language to the owner- who then stopped doing a pedicure on another customer to walk over. They began talking and the owner turned to me and asked me to trust the woman who was doing my nails as she is the professional. So not to make it more awkward, I quietly explained to the owner that I was in pain and also uncomfortable at this point. I asked for the girl who I scheduled my appointment with. She told me that she had a client and could not see me. Within minutes that girl actually walked out from the back (it appeared she was having lunch) and apologized for the entire thing. She said that I was on her schedule but this woman (the one yanking on my nails) insisted on taking me. It was awkward for everyone in the salon, not just me as the scene was made by the women who work there. The one whose ego insisted on proving to me she was just as good as her colleague, and the owner whose interest was in protecting her business's reputation rather than making a loyal customer feel satisfied with their services. I will never return here. So unprofessional in the way this was handled. I did not get an apology from the owner, she actually made me feel I did something wrong. read more

Absolutely horrible. I should have thrown my money in a trash instead. And not cheap. First of all - the water I put my feet in was dirty!!! There was hair and dirt in there!!! So I made them clean another spot for me and I watched them take out clean tools and re-sanitize them. Now on to the actual pedicure - I get home and look - she literally didn't touch the cuticles. At all. So she painted polish on half of my nail. I usually hate going to these type of salons where no one is actually trained, but I was in a hurry today bc I am traveling. Well now I wasted 32 dollars (28 plus 5 tip) and I have to go to a normal salon and get my pedicure redone by someone who actually does pedicures. Putting some lotion and polish is not a pedicure. So I came here once with my boyfriends daughter to get pedis for the both of us and have her nails painted. They told me to sit down, we waited a couple minutes and they took us back... had us both put our feet in the soaking tubs as we normally would and then after 5 minutes of soaking, they told me they couldn't do mine, they didn't have time, they could only paint her nails?!?! Soooo, we just sat here with our feet soaking for the past 5 minutes to only find out we couldn't get pedis?!?! The manager offered to give me a gift certificate for my next visit to comp my pedi... I was okay with this, dried off my feet, got my shoes on and waited for them to paint my boyfriends daughters nails as they kept answering the phone telling people to come in in 30 minutes?!?! Today, I decided to give this place a second try. I went for a gel mani, pedi, and eyebrow wax. They took me back reasonably quick and got started on my pedi when 3 women showed up after me (about 10 minutes later) for their pedis. She told them they would have to wait because they were booked. The one lady then replied, "we made these appointments 3 days ago". Sounds like this is an ongoing problem... they managed to get the ladies back and had them wait with their feet soaking for over 30 minutes without even starting. Meanwhile they were declining other guests as they walked in (finally!), saying they were too busy. I asked for a callus treatment and she didn't know what it was (even though they advertise the service right on their wall). They ten had another lady do my nails which she did an okay job... had polish on the skin in some areas but was easy enough to just pick off after I left.... HOWEVER, the icing on the cake..... THEY pulled the SKIN off of my eye while doing my brow wax! I am now leaving for vacation in 2 days and I am going to have a huge scab on my eye!! Ugh!!! My experience was okay. I had gotten a regular manicure. They came out really sloppy, there was nail-polish past my cuticles. Not only that but, she did not fully paint my nails on the second coat, which you could see the difference between the first and second coats. She pretty much rushed throughout the entire manicure to get to the next customer. I would say this though, they have very nice staff members. After all the rave reviews on Yelp I thought that I should come and get a fill in, because it was about that time. Unfortunately this nail place does NOT live up to the hype. It is quiet,bright, and some what clean. Despite all of the calming interior I almost had a heart attack when I heard how much it was for a fill in, $35. I was told that for a full set was $50. After a long day at work, and already being in the chair, I decided to pay the price, and hope that it was worth it. Im not sure if this is the actual prices that people usually pay here or if she was trying to rip me off, but regardless I was disappointed. The woman who worked on my nails, Moon, seemed to take her time and tried to appear gentle. Towards the end the fill as more people came in she rushed and tried to finish quicker. I guess I was not a valued enough customer. Then after almost an hour of being in the chair, I was ready to leave and everything seemed to look good. Once I got in the car on closer inspection I saw that she did not do a good job on the shaping of the nail. Some of the nails are not round at the tip (I wear almond nails), and some are even crooked. Even though she told me her products where higher quality, Im sure for half the price I could have gone somewhere better. All in all if you are a person who has been going there a lot and get hooked up with cheaper prices, and your happy with their work, I guess it is worth it. New customers its not worth it. read more

top art nails and spa is the best place around. i've been going for a few months and am now addicted to getting my manicures and pedicures here. getting my nails done regularly is something i had never done before, and this new routine is such a treat in my week. they do such a great job. my manicure stays for so much longer than many other places i've been to before. the pedicure is amazing, very attentive service, great massage and hot stones - so great! i've even dragged my husband in for one and he loved it as well. also, i've been getting my eyebrows done here and they have always been perfect. and most importantly it is just a peaceful and tranquil place, i feel relaxed the entire time i am there. i highly recommend top art nails. having gone to countless nail salons in the past, this is my far the best. read more
