Looked all around to find a nail salon of the caliber I was used to back in CA. I think I tried them all, and had no luck. Then a friend told me about Nailed by Hayley. What a find she is! Not only is her work amazing, but she also specializes in gels (something hardly any nail salons in this area do as acrylics seem to be what is the norm here). I couldn't be happier now with my nails. Hayley does amazing work and her nail designs rival any in LA. Plus she is kind and caring and it is a fun experience to come to her shop (which by the way is spotless!) . The salon itself was nice, clean, large, and didn't have the acrylic smell. New looking and modern. Serene music playing in the background. The lady that I got was named Amy. She was so nice and we talked alot. She was so patient with me, I kept trying to move my fingers in anticipation to help her. It took longer than an hour. But it was so so worth it. She did a fantastic job! I found my new nail salon!! Amy even gave me a small token of her appreciation!! I love it!! And they didn't charge an arm and a leg for the nails!!!

She had a photo of exactly what she wanted…read more She didn't ask to change anything from the photo yet she walked out with orange nails when the photo was a neutral polish with flowers. She had a press on nail that was starting to come off and we ask that it be removed. We kept being told it was still good. #1 It wasn't, it was lifting and #2 none of her other nails were press on and the color didn't even match. I had to get upset and say I'd remove the nail myself before the tech finally did it. The gel was sloppy and pooled up in the sides of her nails. It started peeling within a couple hours of being home. When I asked for rhinestones in the middle of the flowers, I was told the glitter polish would last longer. We wound up going someplace else to have them redone. Very sad service.

The cut may have been technically OK, but it was so extremely ugly on me I could not wait for it to grow out so I could get it fixed. The first comment I made to my husband upon arriving home was I promised to buy as wig, ASAP, no kidding. I was embarrassed about my hair for three months until I finally got a good cut somewhere else.

Apparently, they had me scheduled for 1:00. JESSICA said the salon never calls clients when they are 5-10 minutes late - they just cancel them. She had no client in her chair and didn't tell me why she couldn't take me for a simple trim on a simple, non layered bob cut albeit a little late. I rescheduled, but felt there was little care for clients. After a moment, I decided to cancel that appointment and said that I was outside for 20 minutes and if someone had called or texted, I could have walked right in. She, in her distant, saccharine soaked voice said, I'm busy - good luck finding another salon. I did find another salon - one who assured me that if a client is running late they call or text to see if they are on the way, ESPECIALLY first time appointments, like mine, in case they are having trouble finding the salon. It took my new stylist 20-25 minutes for a wash and a beautiful bouncy trim. I left it air dry into beach waves today. I have an appointment next week for a color session to help me grow into my grey in a blended way and will get the works. Having a home in San Diego and one here, I was disappointed when my regular stylist moved away from the area. I am glad I found a great stylist and will be very motivated to keep her happy as well, via my tipping. As the parent of a daughter in the industry, in San Diego, I have learned from her that a 20% tip for a stylist compared to 20% for a meal at a restaurant is not equal. A stylist spends a LOT of time on you herself. I agree and tip based on time which is higher than the expected standard. I wish JESSICA luck, knowing it will take her 3 clients at least to equal one of my tips.
