UPDATE: This is for my fellow Yelpers, think about seeking a SECOND OPINION before proceeding with dental work here. Despite the insinuation, cost is not a major factor when pertaining to my smile. I left this office feeling like I had an encounter with a door to door salesman. The proposed plan at this dental office was to shave perfectly healthy teeth for a temporary cosmetic fix. Serenity Dental in Culver City referred me to orthodontist, Dr. Jun Park. I am now undergoing Invisalign treatment for a permanent solution that will not compromise the integrity of my healthy teeth. read more

This is my second time coming here and to be honest everyone is nice and happy. It makes it easy to want to come to my dental appointments...I had a teeth cleaning today and I didnt have pain, Alex was so gentle and aware of my sensitive teeth. I appreciate it. They are professional and always care about the patient's feelings. I visited at Dec and usually they're busy. But they helped me to make full use of my insurance and set up schedules. Just a few days before flying out to my friend's wedding in the DR, in which I'm a bridesmaid, I had a freak accident at the gym . My entire front tooth came out flying! I was in shocked! I just followed my tooth till in landed! As soon as I got in my car I messaged Kelly & told her I had a freak accident, and needed an emergency visit! I told her what happened & that I have a wedding in which I'm flying out in a few days. Kelly responded immediately & told me what to do to save my tooth! She called me a few minutes later to tell me, both her and the doctor will meet me at the office (after business hours). I was toothless & devastated. My husband drove me to the dentist office as I was crying. Dr. Hossein Javid & Kelly made sure to restore my tooth! The procedure was fairly quick & relatively painless. I've been to several other dentals before and can never compare close to how great this office is. For starters the doctors and employees are so welcoming and friendly, you walk in and automatically feel like you've known them forever. I've been looking for a dentist that is kind, compassionate and genuinely cares about their clients and I didn't think it was possible to find. I've had such horrible experiences in the past with other practitioners that I regrettably put my dental care on the back burner. I had to get a dreaded root canal and I've heard so many scary things about them that I was a nervous wreck! Dr. J really made sure I was comfortable and reassured me that it would be as painless and quick as possible. He constantly checked in with me to be sure I was doing ok, which made me feel better. The whole team there really took the time to make me feel safe and relaxed. I'd also like to shout out how amazing the desk staff is. Always SO warm and welcoming. Kelly was amazing also and really takes an interest in the patients they see. I've had two appointments already and it's weird to say, but I'm looking forward to my future visits with them. Not a huge fan of this place. I have really bad anxiety when it comes to the dentist in the first place so I was nervous to begin with. The staff was super friendly from the front desk girls to the hygienist, but the dentist I saw told me I needed a lot more work than necessary. I got my X-rays and cleaning done and the dentist came to say I needed a root canal, a crown, and a lot of other work. I decided to get a second opinion since it was my first time coming here and I was uneasy to begin with. When I went to the next place (which is a family type of dentistry not a revolving door/ franchise type like this one) he explained everything and said it would be unnecessary and just a more costly procedure. Long story short, they have a very friendly front desk crew and a lovely hygienist. I would recommend getting other opinions before settling on treatments here. read more
