The Tooling & Manufacturing Association is not-for-profit organization with the goal of helping Helping member companies train and educate personnel at all levels, providing direct and indirect sources of information and assistance, and ultimately helping member companies (especially smaller businesses like my employer) to grow and prosper.
My employer belongs to the TMA and I recently attended a training session provided by them. I actually was also lucky enough to sit at the same table with TMA President Brian McGuire. Brian was very personable and made us all feel very welcome as we chatted and networked with others at the table, before the training presentation started. Everyone in attendance was very engaged and asked lots of good questions during the presentation.
I had never had the opportunity to attend such member organization events in the past at previous employers. I feel very grateful that my employer belongs to such an organization, because I find these informational seminars invaluable and necessary for my growth and development.
