This is my first time coming to Tony's and I was under-whelmed. First of all, I was hoping to have a beer with my pizza but they don't have a beer and wine license. We ordered a large pizza it was tasteless. Savory taste often comes from the pizza sauce and there was very little sauce on the pizza. On the positive it was loaded with cheese but the ordered ingredients was a bit stingy. There are many other good pizza restaurants in Ogden so next time that we are in the mood for pizza we will drive past Tony's. read more

I love Tony's Pizza. I have lived in other states and in another country, but by far this is yummy pizza. We recently went there before we went the theater around the corner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. They got extremely busy with take out orders as well as those that wanted to dine in. I love there basically simple salad and could easily as for another. But I love their combo pizza. Recently, I was talking to a lady from out of town at my job and she said. "When I first went to Tony's, I thought what the heck are they putting green olives on a pizza for" She then told me that is the best item on the pizza" The only thing I would suggest is that dine in guest should be able to pay at their tables because waiting at the side of the register to get someone to take your money was a little weird balancing our pizza boxes. read more

Tony's Pizza is a good sit down restaurant. My kids love the garlic bread and pizzas. The salad is good as well. For a couple dollars you get an all crisp lettuce salad with Greek dressing. The bread dips well in the dressing as a side note. The pizzas have plenty of toppings and are reasonably priced. It's hard to find a place everyone agrees on and Tony's is one everyone likes. read more

Disappointing. I learned of this place from the newspaper obituary back when the founder died. It heralded positively about him and his place and through the years giving numerous people a chance to be employed who were down on their luck or really needed an opportunity to start out or get back on their feet. Its awkward for me to write this specific review because I really desire to support a truly local owned restaurant, but with my one experience giving this place a try, I honestly just can't recommend it. The toppings and cheese were good quality but the crust reminded me of a $3 grocery store frozen pizza. The salad was actually "just and only chopped lettuce" and dressing. Absolutely nothing more. They were radically busy (or rather grossly understaffed?), so the service was really lacking. We were seated fairly promptly but frustrated how concerningly long we waited just for someone to acknowledge we were seated and to put an order in. Same was true with our attempt to pay our tab after, it took so long waiting in line with others also trying to pay our money, I eventually just cut ahead, plopped down overpayment cash with the ticket and asked they keep the change because it was ridiculous to make us wait in line so long any further "just to give them our money" and we were getting out of here"--not a model way for a restaurant to conduct business. Its ironic that above the (slow overwhelmed) cashier was a sign that read: "what if we refunded your money, gave you a free one, closed the place down, and shot the manager...Would that be Satisfactory?" Despite the twisted "humor", what kind of business even has a need to want to embrace such "humor" posting it at their register--perhaps one which disappoints its customers so much or so often that such extreme "humor" actually becomes a hint of reality? I just can't see being willing to pay for that type experience again, unless it was actually the ONLY pizza place in town (but they're not, so we don't have to). I'm sorry Tony, perhaps it wasn't this way when you were running the place, or maybe now you're rolling over in your grave, disappointed--like Us. read more

Great pizza, but they need to be a take out only. service was the worst I've ever seen and experienced the waitress was horrible the manager was rude and laughed when I told her my complaint she laughed and just told us they were busy we walked out and half her staff was out smoking maybe if they were working there customers wouldn't be complaining about how awful the service is. One of the Ogden classics (along with El Matador, Gray Cliff Lodge, the Greenery, and the Prairie Schooner)... probably my father's favorite restaurant. It'd been ten years or so since I'd been there and left sad that it was such a below average to poor experience. Dough on bread and pizza crust were undercooked. I would give this place a ZERO if I could. Coming from out of town, friends of ours told us about this place and how awesome it was. So we headed over, on a Saturday night, 5:00pm. There were lots of people working, PLENTY of tables open, probably around five that could easily sit a party of four - yet we stood there for 10 min at the door waiting for somebody to seat us. My biggest problem, the waitresses, cooks, ect, they all looked right at us, and ignored us. The waitresses walked right by and gave us the nastiest looks, almost like we were standing there naked, it was horrible, and I was pissed. I wanted to walk up to them and ask what the hell was their problem (that's how nasty the looks were). One of the cooks finally looked up, came out, and asked if we had been helped, we said no and he disappeared. We were still standing there 5 minutes after that with still no attention so we left. We were talking about the attitude, looks, and just the rudeness of the staff there, the rest of our trip. *OWNER, if you see this, contact me, I can give very detailed descriptions of who was on staff and gave us those nasty looks while ignoring us. We will never go to this place again while in town, and my friends who live in Utah said the same, and they are going to pass the word on to other's in the area. Disclaimer: with 30+ nostalgic years of Tony's pizza under my belt, a completely objective review may be impossible. Take that for what it's worth. But for all the many cities I've visited and all the pizza I've eaten, Tony's remains my gold standard. Sure, New Yorkers and Chicagoans may scoff, thinking good pizza is somehow exclusive to a handful of zip codes. And California foodies will turn up their noses at the lack of Shiitake mushrooms and basil leaves on the toppings list. Their loss. Tony's pizza has the perfect amount of cheese and the perfect amount of sauce on a perfectly-thin crust, perfectly cooked to nearly-charred-edges pizza nirvana on pans that were probably being used when I was a toddler. The "salad" is a bowl of nearly-colorless iceberg lettuce (no nasty nutrients to kill this vibe!) doused in a vinegary Italian dressing so good I could drink it straight from the bottle. And the sausage is the best I've ever had on a pizza. This is the pizza sausage other pizza sausages dream of being. The menu is sparse, the toppings list is gloriously short, the place is tiny, loud, oddly-located and always elbow-bumping crowded (and the service can suffer due to the crowds). But it's all worth it, and we eat here frequently. What better place to celebrate my big 4-0 (thanks to a surprise gathering orchestrated by my wife) than the restaurant I consider my dining birthplace. No delivery, no reservations, no-nonsense pizza heaven. Bottom line: don't eat here. It will only increase the wait for me. :) read more

Pizza was not as good as I would expect because the sauce was watery, it had a lot of toppings which provided the only flavor. The crust was too burnt and crispy to eat. And the Atmosphere was loud and echoey. Our shoes stuck to the floor and the table was broken. All in all it was pretty sucko. The food at Tony's is mostly flavored with nostalgia. The locals and regulars think it is great but they never stopped to actually dissect what makes it good; the memories. My wife and friends are those that remember eating here as kids. Unfortunately for me, I like flavor and competent service, neither of which you will find here. My latest experience with the wait staff at Tony's was abysmal (March 7, 2016). After waiting for a table for 45 minutes we sat and ordered. Our party's order was taken by a waitress that barely acknowledged us. After delivering most of our food one in our party was told that her pizza would be out 'shortly'. Shortly must be how they describe any wait time because it was another 45 minutes before that pizza arrived. All the other members of the party were well past ready to leave when the pizza came. This was after we had flagged down the waitress to ask what was up. She (oddly) refused to speak to us and sent another waiter over. We asked to have the pizza removed from the bill as we were now leaving and it wasn't touched. He told us that wouldn't happen and stormed off to get the manager. The manager then refused to come to our table to talk about this bizarre meal. Upon payment we asked the manager why she wouldn't come talk to us and were told that we must be the awful table that made her waitress cry. I honestly have no idea how that could have happened since we had such limited interactions with the waitress. We again requested the pizza be removed since it came so late and was not eaten. Again, we were told no. I hope the $10 pizza was worth it because we will never be returning to this farce of a restaurant. read more

I freaking love this place. I am 22 now and have been coming here since i was 1 or older. The have an amazing Tonys supreme Pizza. The green olives make the pizza. Oh and the cheese. OMG!!!! The salad if you like fresh green salad with an amazing dressing its for you. Just sprinkle a little parmesan cheese on it and its amazing. I don't understand the deal with this place and why every talks it up like it's the Holy bible. The employees are very nice and friendly but the food is below sub par. The pizza is ALRIGHT, it's like your average restaurant pizza that you could get at Denny's. Nothing that will blow you away. Pasta is gross and obviously frozen from the grocery store. Sauce is gross and probably just a bottle of Prego. You can buy the same tasting garlic bread at the grocery store too! Menu is bland and plain boring. Weird building too. Really could use a makeover and a visit from Gordon Ramsey. Very disappointed considering all the rave reviews it has gotten..people who say "OMG this food is amazing! Best pizza ever! Blah blah blah" obviously have never tried good pizza in their life and call Western Family food delicious. You could get better "italian" food at Olive Garden. read more

I have been going here ever since I was a little kid and the food is delicious. They have really good salads and freshly cooked bread with butter to start the meal off. Then you can chose from a variety of Italian entrees. Normally we go as a family and order multiple things and share. We normally get a large pizza with sausage mushrooms olives green olives ham and pepporoni. Then we also get the tortellini and spaghetti. My personal favorite is the tortellini. It is very good. For dessert we get their delicious Spinoni ice cream. This is a great place to take your family. The only setback is that it is small so it is hard to park and it is busy so you sometimes have to wait a long time,but you can also take frozen pizzas home or order ahead. read more

50 years plus now tony has been delivering excellent pizzas to the Weber Valley. Their combination Pizza is my favorite with the green olives by far. This pizza is good piping hot or fridge cold the next morning after the championship party. Love the food here, but not so much of the service! I've never been disappointed with a Tony's pizza, but when I came in the other night, my boyfriend and I sat for over two hours waiting while there were multiple empty tables the entire time! There were more than three other parties waiting at the same time wondering the same thing, "Why aren't we seated when there are more than enough empty, clean tables?!" When we got sat, our waiter promptly took our order, then came back to tell us that they were out of the drinks we had ordered. After waiting for two hours, it was a little frustrating. I debated just walking to the McDonalds across the street for a Dr. Pepper! The food was good, but I would like to see some improvement on the service here so I can keep coming back for my favorite pizza. read more

Tony's is definitely not what it used to be. I went in to pick up a to-go order on Friday 7/13 and while I was waiting I was shocked with what I saw. First off all of the servers were leaning on the counters playing on their cell phones where customer's could see. Second the manager was dropping the F-Bomb all over the place and even the employees were telling her to be quiet. When I arrived home with my order the salad was hot (ridiculously hot), the meatball sandwich wasn't meatballs it looked like the just threw some hamburger on there with sauce. On our Anniversary, we chose to visit Tony's Pizza and revisit the site of our first date. They were obviously packed, and asked us to wait 35 minuets. After being seated, instead of being asked our drink order, a employee stormed up to our table and accused us of taking Mr. Bennett's table. In a restaurant were there are no reservations. We were asked to give up our table for this "Mr. Bennett" and ordered to wait an additional 35 minutes. My wife, bursts to tears. We left, and will never return!
