I never leave reviews but i DO NOT recommend this place if you are wanting a custom cake! i asked them if they would be able to do a custom bluey cake for my nephew's birthday party and they said yes. so i sent a picture of a cake for a reference (2nd pic) and told them i wanted the background the color of the orange dogs stomach and the lettering saying " Happy 4th Birthday Levi ! " in a navy blue color and what we received was nothing close to what i asked for(1st pic). Instead i received a yellow cake saying " Happy 4th Birthday Lexi " and instead of letting us know that wouldn't be able to do it they gave us a horrible cake and charged us $85-$90. Never coming back because that is absolutely ridiculous. read more

Bought some cookies here the other day. Sad to say they tasted very floury, lacked any other flavor for having 3 different flavors and were all dry. If I came back I wouldn't bother with the cookies, I can make that better at home. read more

I've heard about how great Tony's cakes were for many years. I decided to get one of their birthday cakes for my wife's big birthday. I ordered chocolate with chocolate icing. They made it in 1 day and it was beautiful. I don't know what happened but the icing tasted like almonds not chocolate. It was horrible. We had to scrape the icing off the cake to eat it. We threw out 2/3 of it. It really put a damper on the party. read more

Really nice people! Im a die hard chocoholic but if you haven't tried their Italian Cream cake you have missed the best cake ever! Also, their sticky buns are absolutely amazing. If there were 10 stars that is how I would rate them. read more

This cookie place is a house or it appears to be a house converted. I tried several of their cookies. The winner by far is the cowboy cookie. I am not certain of all the ingredients but I think coconut was one. Talk about a sneak up on you cookie. I planned to take photos after a quick bite next thing you know the cookies are gone. Sigh. The price is good as well. I paid 50 cent a cookie. The cookies were a decent size. The service was sweet as well. I will be back. read more

The lady at the counter was EXTREMELY friendly and polite! Very helpful telling us what each item/flavor was. We got the thumbprint cookies, ginger bread men, double chocolate chip cookies, and the bread thing with half apricot half cherry. The prices are extremely reasonable. Fifty cents for a cookie. I didn't like the thumbprint cookies, the fudge on top was good though. (They aren't bad, just not my cup of tea.) the ginger bread men were some of my favorites. It was soft and not hard and crispy. Extremely flavorful. Tastes nothing like the store bought kind. The other winner was the double chocolate chip cookie. Lots of flavor and great taste. Highly recommend! The half cherry/apricot bread was really gross though :/ has a super strange almost chemically/bitter taste. Two bites and I threw it away. Everything else was excellent!! They have breakfast buns filled with egg and chorizo or egg and ham! I can't wait to try those out next time we go. Much better service and also cheaper than great American cookie (at the mall). Is is bad that I would stop at a bakery before I stop for gas when cruising on 'E'? Nah, totally worth it! While passing through Midland for business, a friend suggested we make a quick pit stop. Our quick pit stop turned into an extended taste test of sugary goodness as we methodically managed to eat (what I call the Noah's Arc special) two of everything. Of all the great cookies we devoured, I think my favorites were the various sugar cookies with confectioners sugar sprinkled on top. They were delicious and were fun when playing the 'try to not spill sugar all over yourself.' read more

I needed a cake for my husband's birthday quickly so I began to search out a bakery in Midland. I didn't want a grocery store birthday cake that's been sitting in a cooler for a few days, I wanted a fresh made cake. I walked into Tony's and asked Do you have any birthday cakes, she said, no but we can make one for you. I asked if she could have it by 1PM the next day and she said of course. I picked it up the next day and it looked fantastic, my husband and I even dipped into the frosting in the car! Nicely decorated and delicious. The "yellow" cake was more like a white wedding cake which made it even better! The butter cream frosting had a hint of Mexican vanilla which was irresistible. The best Mom and Pop bakery in Midland. Everything from the meat empanadas all the way to the petit fors. Tony and his wife are so sweet. Definately go by and support their bakery! read more

The real draw here for me is the beef empanadas. They are just too delicious. Word of advice, don't come here hungry because the display case is packed with some of the best looking pastries and deserts I've seen. read more

Great quality. The cakes weigh a lot so good for the money. BUT... We have ordered a white cake with white frosting ( asked for vanilla) and a chocolate with chocolate frosting and BOTH to our dismay were flavored with almond extract. Just a warning. read more
