Finally find a great dessert place in Midland! We just found this place around 3 months ago while we were looking for a dessert place. I normally not an ice cream person (prefer to have frozen yogurt instead) as I find ice cream is too heavy. But this Gelato place change my mind, we become their usual customer (at least twice a week) since we found it. My husband favorite flavor is the Pistachio and Dark Chocolate. Sometimes he also like to order the Almond Coconut. I personally prefer sorbet instead of Gelato (I'll highly recommended to try their Minty Lime especially during summer) the taste of lime and mint is so balance and give a refreshing boost when you eat it. My husband and I were finally able to visit Amara Gelato, and we were really pleased to find a cute shop with a variety of delicious gelato. My husband really enjoyed his cup of chocolate gelato. I loved all three flavors I tried--almond, vanilla, and salted caramel. The salted caramel was my favorite by far. The vanilla was nice. The almond was good, but I would only get it if you REALLY like almond flavor. It would also good mixed with other flavors. I liked that I could get multiple flavors in my cup. The small cups fit 2, medium fit 3, and a large fits 4. They are have crepes and coffee, which I wasn't able to try, but I'm looking forward to trying in the future. I was very excited to hear we have a cute new Gelato place in town. They have an array of delicious flavors. I tried the dark chocolate and mango pie gelato. My boyfriend had pistachio. My son tried hazelnut. All were very delicious. Our pictures aren't the greatest because it was 100 degrees outside and it melted fairly quickly. The inside is very modern, minimalist and hip.
