Stopped in for dinner and had side salad and personal pizza with Italian sausage which were both very good. The pizza here always comes out really hot. Staff is friendly and attentive, menu selection good, and atmosphere is good with many televisions. Overall, had a very good experience so next time I may try one of the baked potatoes or pasta dishes. read more

Something that hasn't been mentioned in other reviews are the giant baked potatoes! I got one with green chile, and my partner got one with bbq pork. Both were amazing and had a side salad to go along. The place is right off the highway and has a rustic vibe. Food took a little while, but nothing unexpected for a small town. read more

I took a trip to west cliff this past summer and I was delighted to have stumbled at Tony's Mountain Pizza. We tried the bruschetta, garlic knots the Mediterranean pasta, and obviously we had to try the pizza. Everything was extremely yummy. The portions were pretty reasonable that I was able to save my food for later and have seconds for dinner On top of that I liked the vibe of the restaurant. Very cozy, warm and vintage inspired. We waited over 30 minutes to even be greeted by a waitress as we sat at the table. Then over 90 minutes for our food while people that came in well after us were served, ate and left. My daughter's pasta was ice cold and the pizza was "meh" at best. I had to get up and ask for a box, for refills and for our ticket. Worst service I'd ever seen. read more

So good foodies. I've come back twice within 3 days! The pizza is fab-u-lous. The dough is so well done, fluffy, crisp, and delicious. Husband added shrimp to his Mediterranean dish. This is a great spot for pizza in town, as long as you're cool with a wait. I posted a photo of a sign where you are warned in advance that it's going to be a minute, and it was for me and my crew. It took about fifteen minutes to get water, then another ten or so for beer. If you're okay with a wait, the food is actually quite good. I recommend the Western pizza - the cilantro aioli it comes with really makes it. Once the ball gets rolling, things are good. Outdoor seating is lovely and the staff are super nice. read more

Stopped in here on our way into Westcliffe. We were starved and pizza sounded good. It is a nice big spot in Silver Cliff. We had the Rancher pizza (ham, pepperoni, sausage) and garlic knots. The knots were really big and had a great garlicy butter taste. The pizza was hearty and I liked it, but I must say the ham overpowered the flavor. I thought service was great, the vibe inside was welcoming and it good meal. We weren't drinking, but they have a nice big bar and lots of tvs too! I would recommend. read more

I have eaten here many times and never once had an issue. Loved the service and the food. Today however, was very disappointing. I ordered up the Philly with Au Jus to go. What I received was not that. It pretty much was a roast beef and cheese sandwich. Nothing else. No bell peppers in the sandwich, no mushrooms and no au jus. Some onions. Not impressed. read more

The garlic knots are good, the waitress was nice and that was about it. The pizza took 40 minutes to come out and it was slow. No pizza on earth takes that long. If it really is going to take that long (which apparently it does based on other reviews) train your staff to give people updates oh how long it will be like they do at other restaurants! As you will see from the attached photo, the toppings are no where close to the edge! Ridiculous amount of sausage in the middle and a cheese pizza at the end. Food is very good. Has two bar areas. Three main areas to sit. Italian pizzas and fare. Here on Wednesday evening and service is VERY slow. We came here on a Thursday night and ordered two pizza's to go. We were told it'd take 20 minutes, and it ended up taking 80 minutes before we finally got our pizzas. I'm not taking any stars off for that because they were extremely apologetic and we were told by locals that it never normally takes that long. The pizza itself was inconsistent, one of our pizzas came with the right amount of cheese and was solid. The other pizza came with about 4x as much cheese as normal, and it wasn't melty-gooey cheese, but a less pleasant cheese at that density. I like Chicago-style pizza which has tons of cheese, but this just didn't have the right type of cheese, it was a real turn off and we didn't eat very much of that pizza. I think we likely just hit them on a night where they were understaffed and really busy, but it wasn't a great experience. read more

Wow! First of all, yelp was showing closed till 4pm today Tuesday 9/26/23, they were open! The waitress was fantastic and very helpful in her suggestions! Our first time here as we have heard so many good things about this place and we are so very happy we stopped. They make their own dough,sauce and Italian sausage. Yummmmmmmmy! My family and I are from Texas and I must this was some of the best pizza we have ever had. We ordered a 16" Rancher for a family of 5.....there were no leftovers!! The staff was super friendly and the restaurant itself is quite quaint. Super clean and welcoming. We say give it a try and you won't be sorry! We ate there a few nights ago. Tony should not put his business with pizza in the title. Granted, it's probably one of the only places around that you can go out for pizza...so Tony's got you there; if you want same or better quality pizza by a frozen pizza. . The wait was over an hour and our and I know another couple across the floor were not told up front about the wait, be cause like them we would have ordered something else. So that was the pizza. The chili was the BEST I've ever had at a restaurant hand down! "Tony's chili house and Italian eatery"??? Also had a homemade spicy sausage over Penni, which was really good! The only thing they need to do is make sure the dish or sauce isn't so watery. Two stars for crappy pizza and service (communication and wait). read more

We've been coming to this pizza restaurant for years, through all the different owners and changes. Recently, we were disheartened to see them taking COVID so lightly. There are no signs about wearing masks and most of the employees were not wearing them. Because of this, I believe, guests in the crowded waiting area were also not wearing them. I understand that restaurants are inherently places where masking is looser because you have to remove them to eat. But they need to at least follow the public health guidelines for masking when you're not seated at a table and not able to get distance from others. The valley may have low COVID cases, however, people visit from all over - places with much higher numbers. We felt too uncomfortable to eat in the restaurant and very uncomfortable waiting for our takeout pizza in the crowded entryway. read more

I looked over the menu, and all looked good. I made a special order of the "Grüß Gott" Pizza, but in a calzone. The kielbasa, mozzarella, sauerkraut, red onion and banana peppers were bathed in a light mustard sauce. While I waited for the food delivery at our table, I explored the vastness of the place. Pictures of recent service veterans, bringing relevance of our current day troops to bear, to remember, on the wall amidst the mountain decor, plus televisions with the games playing, filled the restaurant. A band was playing this Wednesday, and a line dance was in full swing. The house seemed full Breanna was nice as she served with a smile. I chose to eat one half of the large calzone without any "red" marinara sauce, to let the mustard sauce induce a more savory and German flavor: great. I then wondered if the tomato gravy would give too different a taste, but waived any reluctance for a wonderful surprise flavor mingling. This place was great: friendly service, food, and prices were just right. I look forward to returning. KUDOS to the owners. read more

There are only a few restaurant options during the winter months in Westcliff Colorado, and we found Tony's to be one of our favorites. The environment is typical of a pizza style restaurant, and the service and friendliness is exceptional. My husband's pizza was loaded with meat and I ordered the chicken soup and a side baked potato. All of the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Our service was attentive, efficient and friendly. All Covid regulations were followed including enforcement of masks when not at the table. Overall an excellent experience and highly recommend. read more

This was our first stop driving into town. We were hungry and had read the reviews of Tony's. They had great seating and tons of places to sit down, which was nice. Service was attentive, and they checked on us frequently. The young lady who waited on me was very polite. One more thing, they're cash or check only! When I realized they're cash only, the young lady asked if she wanted me to hold the pastry I ordered while I got cash at an ATM. If you don't have cash handy, there is an ATM down the street at a grocery store. It's a Wells Fargo ATM. When I arrived back at the bakery, my pastry was waiting for me, all nicely folded up in a bag. It was well after 2:00 pm so I felt that it was thoughtful of her to keep the business open to complete my order. My original order was a raspberry cheese danish. I also ended up ordering a chocolate peanut brownie. I was also "eyeballing" a tray of their cinnamon rolls. I left after purchasing my two pastries and remembered that they're closed on Sundays so I approached the business again to see if I could order a cinnamon roll to go. The young lady was closing up the business for the day when I approached. I asked if she would mind if I purchased a cinnamon roll to go. She obliged without hesitation. Again, this was so thoughtful and such great customer service. I ate my raspberry cheese danish immediately and was very impressed. I later ate some of my cinnamon roll later then finished the rest in Sunday morning. I also devoured the peanut butter brownie on Sunday morning. They nailed it with the right amount of sugar here. The cinnamon roll was huge. It's probably enough for two people. It's also only under three dollars which is impressive as well. When I return to Westcliffe in a few weeks I will definitely return here. I highly recommend this bakery to support local and for great quality pastries for very reasonable prices. There is on-street parking in front of the restaurant, a shared parking lot "behind" the restaurant, and quite a bit of parking by the park a few blocks away. I had a cinnamon roll and a Stage Stop burrito and a sausage biscuit sandwich. I also had help! Hey! Yer eating the burrito before I took the photo! The burrito has the sausage gravy from the biscuits and gravy, but you can also get green chili on it. The biscuits are huge! Yay! There were 4 tables for dine in, but the food is packed to go. For their first day back, they are offering a free something for folks with a partially punched loyalty card. Surprise! It's also up for sale so someone who can afford it come save this business! I ordered a Strawberry Turnover and Vanilla Mountain Frost w/ Whipped Cream (frappé). The strawberry turnover was good, my only complaint is that only half it had a good amount of strawberries and cream cheese. The frappé tasted like straight coffee. I paid an extra $1 for whipped cream and I couldn't really tell it was there. I may not have set my expectations right when ordering it, but it was just okay. It's a very small shop, not a whole lot of room. Music is playing so it isn't deafening silence. There is plenty of seating outside, which is great when the weather permits it. The customer service was not very present. There was one person working the whole store so I'm not going to bash it with a lack of effort. Effort was certainly present, it's hard to run a place alone. But it took a long time for us to get our drinks. Side note: the lids on the freshly squeezed orange juice are truly loose (as the signage says) and it was spilling the whole drive back. Trust the sign

The food is great: the portions are immense and everything is seasoned perfectly. When I was there, the service wasn't horrible, but it was very slow because there seemed to only be one waitress for the entire restaurant (I think I overhead they were short-staffed). If you don't mind hanging out for a while, Chappy's is a great place for a really good burger. I personally recommend the BLT.
