Absolutely worth every bit of hype and way above my high expectations. Atlanta has been graced by…read morean elite-level sandwich spot. I'll put it right there with Fred's. The owner told me someone once said Atlanta isn't a sandwich city, which is baffling. We are! It's just that no one wants to open a good sandwich spot. Featuring outdoor seating only, this is a charming spot right in the middle of a neighborhood intersection. We ordered at the window and ate out on their patio. The owner is a true gentleman--I'm so glad we got to meet him! He paired my sandwich with a nice pineapple Jarritos and suggested we try his homemade pasta salad. Y'all, this sandwich was on another level. We got the Jack's Fish Market, and it was freshly made and uniquely good. I can't say I have ever had a sub quite like it. It's going right up there with the Korean cheesesteak from Fred's and Hattie B's hot chicken sandwich as one of my favorite ATL sandwiches. I split it alongside the pasta salad, and that was more than enough food. Bottom line: if you live in ATL and haven't been here yet, shame on you. It's a very casual spot with unique flair, a great owner, and mind-bending food. Can't wait to go back!

If you're in Atlanta, do yourself a favor and go check out Hudson and Alphonse Deli…read more I had to come on here and give a major shoutout to Sammy, the cook and founder. From the moment I called in, his customer service was top tier. Professional, warm, and intentional. He made sure my order was right, sent a quick payment link so things moved efficiently, and had everything ready by the time I arrived. That's how you run a business. When I pulled up, he greeted me with a smile, brought my food out, and confidently told me I was going to enjoy it and he was absolutely right. I originally planned to grab my food and go, but his energy made me slow down, sit, pray, and actually enjoy the moment. I asked for a lime Jarritos, and he recommended pineapple instead to pair with the jerk seasoned wild caught salmon sandwich. That recommendation was on point and really elevated the whole experience. That sandwich hits. Every bite pops with flavor across your entire palate. The salmon was perfectly cooked, juicy but not soggy. The kale had the right crunch. The onions tied everything together. And that homemade garlic butter on the salmon took it to another level. It's a creative spin on a traditional cheesesteak. I'm sure the beef options are great too, but if you want seafood, this is the move. I've had a Philly cheesesteak in Philly before, and honestly, I don't need to go back. When I'm in Atlanta, I'm coming here. Sammy, thank you for the hospitality and the intentionality behind what you do. You didn't just serve food, you created an experience. Thank you for praying with me. I will definitely be back.

My sister and I split the Gaucho and the Yellowfin Tuna Melt (~$20 each). Pricey for sandwiches, but the quality is there. The Gaucho is packed with meat, almost too much, so the combo with chips helps balance things out. The Tuna Melt was the clear winner, Calabrian chilies with the tuna salad was a great call, though the bread-to-filling ratio could use some work. Overall, both sandwiches are delicious but could use some ratio tweaking. I'll be back to work through the rest of their rotating menu.

After many, many months (okay, years at this point), I returned. Unfortunately, I had the same experience with my order. I ordered the Hot Italian. It was warm, and that's all this sandwich delivered. The porchetta was dry, chewy and bland. It was so bad that I didn't eat it all. And the pepperoni and soppressata didn't add any spice to the sandwich. This is the first time I have ever been disappointed in soppressata! I thought the pepperoni mayo would add some kick as well and maybe it would have if there had been more than a half-tablespoon of it. And the bread was not fresh! I could have cried over this. The cost is outrageous for this kind of quality. On the upside, the service remains top tier and the space is still welcoming. But I won't be back. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

She had a back and forth disagreement with my husband. As paying customers we were very disappointed and disgusted at out experience in the Virginia avenue location in Atlanta, GA not far from the Hartsfield airport. We will never return to this location or any other for that matter. This was our first time in this restaurant and I do not plan to come back. I will warn my family and friends to refrain from this establishment. I would not want them to encounter such rudeness and disrespect. We purchased a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with chips and a large soda. My husband asked for a small cup that he was given so when we sat down he can share his soda with me. When she saw that she started talking bad about my husband and I. Screaming her words to the workers loud enough for us and everyone in the restaurant to hear. My husband got up walk over to the counter purchased a sprite bottle sized and let her know we heard her he through the cup out and told her as the manager she needed to have better customer service. I guess our money here is not good enough or our skin color does not meet their standards. Thank god we had only come here once. I would not recommend this restaurant to Anyone at all. Find another establishment where customer serve is not an issue but a warm welcome this one is not it. We will never allow our bi-racial status as a black and Puerto Rican married couple of 33yrs to be a factor in any establishment we go to or any encounter we have, may their management take heed or be retrained.
