He and his assistant were really easy to coordinate with and…read moreprofessional also solution-oriented when it came to getting this huge couch into my apartment. I had never used a couch doctor before so for folks who are in the same boat, here's how it worked: - Jose and I first did a walk through of how the couch would get from the U-Haul on the sidewalk into my apartment. He brought a measuring tape so that he could measure all of the entrances and hallways to get a clear sense of what would need to be done to the couch. - Before agreeing to the service, he and I had talked about a rough quote; after going through the work that would need to be done on the couch, we aligned on a final price. - Jose and his assistant then deconstructed the couch on the sidewalk. They bring blankets and stuff so the couch doesn't get scuffed - I was worried about this and it ended up being a non-issue. - They then brought each piece of the couch up and put the whole thing together. The first plan did not work and they had to bring the couch back down and deconstruct it more, but they did so quickly and efficiently, communicated with me proactively that the plan would need to change, and provided an alternative solution. Note that they do use high-grade equipment that can be loud for the duration of couch assembly, which for me was about 30 minutes. If you have rules in your apartment about noise, make sure that you check those before scheduling a time. And that was it! The couch looks like it was never deconstructed its pretty great. Overall could not recommend Jose more; I was initially anxious about getting this couch into my apartment and I found the process to be professional, high-quality, timely, and reasonably priced!! Thanks!

Long story short: I had known Arturo for 3 years for redoing my furniture and small jobs. I consider him a friend. I met his wifr, his mon, his dog....I wrote reviews and recommended ARTURO LIRA AND CASA LIRA AND HIS OTHER COMPANY... ULPHOSTERY WORKS to my friends and neighbors in WESTCHESTER. The last job I trusted him to do was my mudroom (install a sink, light fixture and 3 cabinets) he was paid almost in full and guess what? My mudroom has no sink, no light fixture and thr job is botched ... it going to cost thousands more to o fix the "job" arturo did. I paid him $5,000 for thr mudroom work out of friendship. He won't answer phones, he won't answer email he won't show his face. He still has out keys and garage opener, which means I had to change my locks. We are even installing video cameras this week. He was supposed to finish the job by 5/15. I haven't heard from him since. I don't know if he has a licence. The business is registered to his wife melissa lira and the insurance has been revoked... all that info is available online. I wished i checked before. He has several arrests under his belt, he doesn't even have a driver's licence yet drives everywhere, the lack of drivers licence is due to his immigration status for some reason he actually admitted it to me. Here are the pictures of how he left my mudroom after I paid him $5,000. Three years ago, New Way Home Decor installed a shade to draw down when the children are sleeping. Within the first month the shade came crashing down. New way home decor reinstalled the shade claiming the ladies are pulling on the shade. Nine months later the shade came crashing down again. Again, New Way home decor claimed the ladies were too rough with the shade. After that incident we no longer trusted the shade and blocked the children from going near the area. Thirteen months later the shade came crashing down again. When the installer came to reinstall the shade again, he stated the shade was cut too short and needed to reach from corner to corner in order to securely install two corner brackets. Previous installations had a corner bracket and a single bracket that was1 ¾ "shy of making it to the corner. We called the owner and informed her of the situation. She stated, "you know this was three years ago. We told her the shade had come down endangering the children three times and the installer said it was cut too short. We paid over $800 for this shade. The owner said she will replace the shade for another $500. The owner had no regard for the children's safety, only lining her pockets. LET THIS BE A WARNING TO ALL FUTURE BUYERS.
