Wanted something different other than eating fish for lent. So I order a medium pizza from Tony's and they had a veggie pizza with tomato, olives, onions, green bell peppers, mushrooms and spinach. Honestly I haven't had pizza with any spinach on it before but once I got it and taste it not bad. The service was quick got it before noon and didn't wait that long. Hands down best and favorite pizza! The pizza sauce is garlicy and perfectly seasoned! Anytime I am visiting family in Delano I have to try to make a visit to Tony's. We had the meat lovers and veggie pizza and the sausage on the pizza was so so so delicious! All the veggies tasted fresh. Personal preference yet the pepperoni was slightly overtoasted and just made the pizza even more tastier! Definitely get ranch as this is the best ranch to accompany your pizza! Have been coming to this place for years and can't believe I never gave it justice and wrote a review. This place is a staple in Delano; despite the cautionary reviews some wrote I can say this place is worth your patronage. They have expanded throughout the valley and built a few more Tony's around the valley but this is original. Our family is willing to drive 40+ miles to get a slice of pizza from them. The service can be a bit slow depending on the day of the week and how many orders are ahead of you. But I promise, it's worth the wait, great food, awesome place to sit down (even though it looks like they might be remodeling); plenty of screens to watch movies or any game that's being televised. read more

I enjoy coming here. I think they got a new owner or they redid the place. It looks pretty clean. The only thing is the prices are kinda high, but I mean the pizza is delicious. The wings are very expensive but like they say you get what you pay for so the food is great. The service is great. The girls are always friendly when you walk in, they do have a special for a large pizza which is like $20 but it's all worth it. I mean if four of you guys Pitchin I mean for you guys can eat but it's worth it. I mean the place is big it's clean but it's a little bit pricey but I mean the food is delicious. I do highly recommend to come in maybe for a birthday party or just come out and enjoy a family dinner read more

Called in an order early Sunday evening. The machine picked up yet no one ever came on the phone to take my order. Went in person and there were about ten employees standing around talking and laughing. Only one customer spotted eating at the restaurant! No excuse! When I finally got my pizza it was burnt on the edges, the sauce is not the sauce I remember and it was nasty sweet! The chorizo was not good either! Never again ordering here! Tony's was the place to go many a year! No more! read more

this location used to be the best ever. Things have changed so much. I now live in Bakersfield and at times we visit family in Delano and prefer to order from Tonys on Cecil Ave. Can't order online sometimes and no one ever answers the phone to place an order. I used to call in an order once we get on the freeway to be ready once we get into town. Very disappointed now that it's nit ran by the parents. The quality of food is great. I called to get a large pizza. It was 21.00 when I get there. I see a sign hanging for extra large pizza one topping $21. When I asked the woman why didn't you tell me that when I called she just shrugged her shoulders. I said I'm getting a smaller pizza for the same amount, she just shrugged her shoulders. Stopped here for lunch with our nephew and the service sucks. We waited almost an hour and when we asked why this was taking so long they said they forgot to put the pizza in, hour later we still haven't received our potato wedges. The pizza box states best pizza in Delano, we'll if you like mediocre pizza and poor service, I guess come here. I have to give 1 star to submit but I would not come here again and don't recommend. read more

Tried calling in an order and it sent me to an automated system. I pressed the button to talk to a real person and it hung up on me twice. Terrible service with the new owners. We used to eat Tony's Pizza all of the time but since we can't even talk to a real person I guess we'll have to find another pizza place. read more

This place never disappoints. My family and I get this very often when we are in Delano. This kids love the pizza and I love the sales. On our most recent visit it was a bit more packed than usual. It was totally ok because the staff was fast and friendly. The inside is kinda dark but the food lights up every table. I am glad I came here to eat! read more

Been a customer my whole life, and this is my first time having a terrible experience and will not be returning even though it used to be my favorite... I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it cost $25 when it normally would've never cost that. Also, the pizza was extremely small for a "large" and you can tell they either weren't trying or they changed their recipe because the pepperonis tasted cheap and very distasteful. It was mostly bread over anything else. The crust was 50% of the pizza slice. When inquiring about it, I found out the "new owners" are trying to switch things up. I came to this location today and though I liked the pizza, I'm quite annoyed at this place. I specifically asked for a pizza box because we had leftover pizza while dining in. They stated they don't give out boxes or plates with foil. I found that to be odd because if we ordered pizza to go we would have gotten boxes. Another person from the group goes up to ask for a to go box and they gave him a few boxes with no problem. Not sure what's the difference between me asking and him asking is...... I for sure won't be back though. There needs to be more consistency here. read more

5/5/2022 Walked in at 8:25pm to place an order & the girl tells me sorry we are not taking any orders we already turned our ovens off.... So I asked her don't you close at 9pm she said yes but we ain't taking any orders ovens are off. Service is extremely rude, after placing an order online the order wasn't ready until 20mins later and I also order drinks online and was told they do not show up on there part and need to bring recipe after explaining to them I order online they said if I didn't show proof I would not receive them and had to go and get phone that I had not brought with me in order to get my drinks, worst service. read more

Tony's pizza is a community pizza restaurant in Delano, California, a small central valley town. The pizza at this place was a bit disappointing because the crust was very soft even though they have large pizza ovens. You order the pizza and your food at the counter, and they call out your order over the loud speaker. We ordered a half Hawaiian/Half Combo pizza with spicy BBQ wings. The prices are great, the food with a pint of beer and large soda was only $22. The crust on the pizza was very doughy, and was so soft that when we lifted a piece the end of the slice fell off at the center. The wings were pretty bad, so heavily breaded that they were soggy weird wings. The local people seemed to like it, but honestly they need to cook the pizza much longer to at least develop a crust on the pizza pie. The wings need a complete overhaul. Good community presence, and great prices. Maybe we caught them on a bad night, might update this review if we come here with our friends (locals). read more

Tony's pizza is probably in my top 5 places for pizza. Their chili verde pizza is super yummy, but I can't say it's thee original chili verde pizza spot... Ummmm the "other guys" in Delano is the original place. However, there are tons of debate on which chili verde pizza is the best and some people do love and prefer Tony's more, so definitely try both places out to give your own judgement. Tony's pizza makes sure they don't short you on cheese. Love how it's super cheesy and they don't skimp on toppings. Their salad isn't the healthiest but that fake bacon w their ranch dressing is yummy and that's saying something because I never ever eat bacos otherwise. Tony's is pretty pricy, but definitely worth it. If you haven't tried their pizza then you are missing out. read more

First off, they do have false advertising. When you order online it gives you the option for delivery. Yesterday we placed an order. We paid delivery & tip and didn't receive. Finally called them and they stated they don't deliver. So why is it on there page? Second we spoke to an employee and asked these questions. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He called me a Bi***. I'm sorry but there is no excuse for this behavior from what's supposed to be a well known restaurant in Delano. How about they fix there page and make it clear so there clients know they don't deliver. Third, I'm pretty sure they messed with our pizza because we called to complain. Will be reporting to health department and wherever else I can because I'm sure we are the only ones they have treated this way. read more

My friends and I ordered pizza and placed a delivery. We were charged a delivery fee and driver tip with an estimated delivery time of 4:30pm. Around 5 pm we called and asked nicely if there was an issue with our pizza and the staff there said we had to go and pick it up because they don't deliver. We told them we ordered through their website and paid a delivery fee and driver tip. We were then met with attitude and the worker said we'd better go and pick it up then ended the call with "bitch". We could also hear other staff laughing in the background. The last 2 orders my family placed here ended up being wrong. The second time they didn't even show us the pizzas and 3 of the 5 were wrong so we went back. They said they gave us an xl hawaiian but it was pepperoni. The staff stood there in front of the manager lying that they showed us and accusing us of replacing the "hawaiian" with a pepperoni. And our 2 pepperoni pizzas came out as half cheese and half pepperoni. Very poorly managed and did not take responsibility. read more

Nothing like home sweet home Delano hometown favorite pizza place! I've been coming to this Tony's Pizza location since I was a kid. I remember hanging out here in middle school (1995-1997) everyday after school with all my friends. They had the best $1 slices. I just attended a birthday party this past weekend and it's great to know that the pizza is still as good as it was when I was a child. My favorite pizza's is Hawaiian & Combination. Be sure to order some ranch to dip your pizza in it, it's delicious! Customer services is always on points. They have TV's to catch the football games, lots of sitting area, video games for kids & a lot of parking. I do love the decorations in here, lots of pictures of being involved with the community of Delano. If you're planning on hosting a birthday party here I totally recommend Tony's Pizza. read more

If there was a no star I would put it. Every time I call the customer service is bad they seem like they are always in a bad mood. In 1979, Anthony "Tony" and Patricia Martinez, purchased the former Poor Richards Pizza Parlor and still remains at its original location. Patricia became good friends with Lucy and Danny Bitri who came to California from the Italian peninsula of Sicily. Patricia was invited into their restaurant where for weeks she worked next to the crafty pizza makers. The young and enthusiastic, Patricia then returned to Delano with the traditional Italian recipe we still use today.

I was manager next door when it was Thrifty Drugs, saw the opportunity to own my own business, so I took it. For 34 years we've been there, helping schools, clubs and churches. we're still going strong, Thank you Delano.

Youre going to an older bakery(been around since the 80s and the building probably hasnt changed much) where they know how to bake the tried and true Filipino desserts and breads without gimmicks or trends, and because they keep interior/exterior basic they can keep the prices down. This is the kind of bakery you come to for quality old school products and service, everyone is helpful and kind and they deliver the most delicious breads and desserts. Burrito is literally a hard burnt overly cooked tortilla. And the best thing here is the jalapeño poppers because its most likely store bought. The oil used was the same oil they fry everything and it is probably a month old oil. I ordered this right before lunch time today. Milk shake was also horrible, think they used 1 scoop of ice cream and the rest was mostly milk. This place should be ashamed of themselves. Very poor quality food and probably should be closed down. I rank this place a 0/10. Nothing was decent about this place and its the 2nd time I've ordered from her.

Not worth it, in my opinion. I paid $14 for my meal without a drink. Will I come back? Sure, if I want to reminisce about my childhood growing up in Delano without a price tag. Maybe I'll give Elmers a visit next time.

The burgers and fries are seasoned well and if you have a sweet tooth then you need to make sure to get the banana shake. Trust me! You'll regret it if you don't try that banana shake! Any time I've visited they didn't take too long, so if you're in a rush you don't have to worry about the long wait. There's plenty of room, so if you're dining in with a group they have a lot of tables. The service is great, the staff is really nice and if you have questions about anything they'll help you out. Restaurant is clean and the restroom was clean too, so that's always a plus.

They weren't that busy at around 7:00 on Sunday evening.
