Writing this so maybe can save someone $300 to $3000 . I should have asked before going in if they had lane assist camera in stock / parts in stock or rough estimate. Went in for the Honda Odyssey cause I got errors on my screen ( aka Christmas light effect -shows a bunch of errors) needed to get a safety check . So kind of no choice but the clear it. Got a diagnostic I knew was either bumper camera MVCS or camera above the mirror (lane assist camera) (which I took off the cover for them) . After 2 + hours with appointment. Advisor said it is the lane assist camera (above mirror) It is $3000 to repair /replace cause , but they don't have it in stock and got to special order. Will be few weeks . So I said no thank you , paid ~$289.90diagnostic. FYI for the lane assist camera , you can buy it . Then a car window repair shop can (aim and calibrate) which needs to be done if new lane assist camera put in . FYI lane assist camera itself takes few minutes . 1: Disconnect car battery . 2: It's just a quick terminal clip to remove and install module. Service advisor said will email receipt , never received one . Texted them still never received . Also right before getting 3000 repair quote at Honda in the waiting room got a random text from Honda sales person "looking at your van and if I want to sell it" Not really great added experience . read more

I love everything about this place from purchasing a car to the scheduled maintenance checks. Usually I get an email reminder to bring my ride in but this time I didn't make it right away. Within a couple weeks I got a 2 Nd reminder which was helpful to get back n sync and bring my car in. You can schedule your appointment on-line which is fast and convenient. I can select my day and time. Yesterday I pulled into the service lane for my 6:30 a.m. appointment. Someone was there to check me in as they always say your service advisor will be right with you and take what you need from the car and proceed inside. I always ask for my service advisor to be Jason Beleno. Whenever I see him it's like seeing a friend. He knows my routine as I choose to sit by a round table by the copy machine, my regular hang out when I visit. You can have a variety of coffee blends to drink with a selection of syrups. There is a tv to watch in front of the pay window too. Cuz of the coronavirus concern I brought my own drinks and snacks, newspaper and packet of wipes for the table and chair arms. Germaphobic or what? Jason was back to see me in an hour when the service was completed and escorted me to the pay window then gave me my keys. I think it's a courtesy thing but the woman gives me a free car wash coupon too. I am turning into my grandma who was a nurse. I used to think how unusual she would wipe down the doorknob with all the grandkids over in the afternoon. I pulled out another disinfecting wipe and yup, wiped the door handle, steering wheel, radio control and even my car key. Deja vu! read more

If I could rate this place a 0 Stars I would! Background: I have a 2022 Hyundai Tuscon, that I purchased in 2022. 1. After 3 months of owning the vehicle, the AC breaks and take weeks to fix. 2. I was driving on the road and my car (while still on) stops moving. I have to push the gas pedal all the way down to get it to coast, and make it home. So I tow my vehicle to Tony Group Auto Plex Service Center mid July and they say I won't have an appointment till September but I can leave my car there and they will work on it when they can. After a few weeks of not having a vehicle, I ask for a rental. On the agreement it says $45 per day but the rep that helped me said that this rental would be free because my car is going for service. In the mean time, it was my hybrid battery that was bloated and they were waiting for the manufacturer to send a replacement. It is now mid August and they tell me that I can pick up my car but they have not changed the battery AND that I have yo drive it till my car dies again. (Likely in a couple days) then tow it back to the service center. Why are they giving me back a broken car?!?! Isn't that a safety hazard?!? Well they told me that they could do nothing about it. 3. Then on Saturday 08/10 the day I was supposed to return my rental, I am unable to get to Waipio so I call them and no one answers. I continue to call all week and finally someone calls me back on Wed 08/14 saying that I now have to pay $300 for the rental. I review the rental agreement and no where on there says that I would have to pay anything if my car was ready and I did not return the rental on Saturday. Why do I have to pay anything when I have been trying to contac them about returning my rental for 4 days now. I have to pay because they can't answer the phone or call me back? That is such BS. 4. Even if I didn't care, and was made out of money, $45 per day x 4 days after my car was ready is NO WHERE near $300. This place is so unbelievably awful... just sneaking in charges and not communicating them to me or having it in their contracts. I am never buying a car here again and honestly I want to sell the one I have so I never have to come here again! UPDATE: as I was driving my car off the lot the AC was not working so I had to check it back in to get that fixed. They didn't tell me my AC was broken nor made any attempts to fix it before they tried to give it back. It has now been a few weeks and my car is still there waiting for a part. When I checked my car back in, they said I couldn't get another rental. How was I supposed to go to work or get back home?!?!? So my parents had to come get me and spoke to the Sales General Manager. Commending Miles, Tom (Service) I needed to have my battery checked that I purchased 3/22 a Nissan battery under warranty because car was getting hard to start. I have removed car batteries in the past when needed from different vehicles. The other dealership Tony Nissan did not have the particular battery until the next day, and I can bring the battery in to Tony Nissan for testing. I called New City Nissan, they have the battery in stock but I needed to bring the car in for diagnostics, the parts person said they would have to check the alternator, and other modules. I went this before replace the windshield washer pump, and paid additional $220 for diagnostic that was not necessary. I removed battery and Tony Nissan checked the battery (only) this morning and the battery failed. I was given a new battery that I put back in my car, had to pay a minimal charge and not the additional diagnostic charge. I appreciate and commend Tony Nissan for their honest work. read more

Giving this star to Ryan for the Costco suggestion. Thanks! I purchased my car (new) at Tony Volkswagen in early 2018. All service and safety checks have been done there and right on schedule. Ever since Covid getting to speak with anyone there is near impossible. Getting a call returned and booking an appointment near impossible. Getting decent service and your car returned without grease and sticky stuff on your dash or windows - not happening. I took it in last Saturday to get it safety inspected. I had an appointment at 9:00 am. I was told it would take an hour. It was still waiting to go in at 10:30 am. I talked with my salesman - Jon and he went checking on it. It came out around 11:00 - and "Eric" brought it back with the following 4 fails. 1) replace rear right tire (screw in tire too close to side wall to repair) ($315) 2) replace front brake pads and rotors ($1,136) Left front 3 mm - right front 2 mm 3) Windshield condition (Cracks, chips and pitting) 4) Tint on windshield is at 63% Darkest it can be is 70% So, I checked my safety inspection done by Tony Volkswagen the year before. Front brake pads at 3mm - marked "passable". Mileage increase since last inspection - 11,000. Also my brakes are very high end and have sensors on them that light up when I have about 5000 miles left on my brakes! No mention of tint! I took my car to Costco because I had purchased 4 new tires less than 6 months earlier. (My car had sat on Tony's lot for 2 and a half months when battery acid leaked onto the transmission fluid reservoir and caused $14,000 damage.) Costco tire technician pulled out a 1/2 inch screw that had not penetrated the rubber! I cleaned my windshield when I got home. I could not find a crack, a chip or any pitting. Today I took my car to a reputable center for a safety check. I watched as they checked it over. It passed with flying colors!! I believe Tony Volkswagen were hoping this old lady would cough up the money for the repairs so they would pass her safety inspection. I am extremely disappointed and have lost trust in everything that comes out of the service department. read more

Car Wash Review... Don't do Platinum! Do not pay for the premium car wash packages. I spent over $60, and from what I can tell, I believe my vehicle was sprayed with an extra dose of colored suds, and that is it! The exterior of my vehicle still had bird droppings, was water spotted, and they did an absolutely horrible job cleaning my interior. They don't take out the mats to vacuum, so there was still sand and dirt everywhere. No Armorall on the dash, center, console, seats, etc., either. Radio was still completely smudged and debris in my center console and cup holders. I gave two stars, because I have gotten the basic wash before which is comparable, but $40 less expensive. They are quick and courteous, so I will give them that too. read more

Today is Memorial Day Holiday and I was expecting a line at Tony Group Autoplex Carwash, but there was none. So that was awesome!! I pulled straight up to the cashier window and get the usual Platinum Wash. surprisingly I was asked if i wanted vacuum service I said, of course...always had Platinum Wash that included vacuum, unfortunately I was made aware that since Covid - 19 a couple of weeks ago that an additional $20 charge is for vacuum service separate from just the exterior wash. WOW!! I was confused and upset that I just paid $50 for a service I typically pay $30 for. Perhaps it's time to find another car wash... For the $50 I paid it I OT took the guys less than 15 minutes to finish my car. As I drove away, water dripped from the mirrors to the windows and already wasn't feeling great about my Carwash. I bought a 2016 Chevy Trax and it had a small chip in the windshield. I was told it had been repaired but it was a bad repair. It would be made right. I waited a week and was told to call Safelite and have it re-repaired. Safelite said they never do that. The windshield would have to be replaced. I let the dealership know that. They took a few days to discuss the matter and let me know they would replace the windshield. However the windshield needed had to be ordered. That was August 18, 2023 and it has been 2 1/2 months and NO ONE has contacted me. I have tried many times in different ways to contact them but no one responds. I will never buy from them again nor will I recommend them to anyone read more

I have been going to this dealership since i bought my Hyundai Tuscon in 2016. in the past up until about 2021 i had excellent service at a reasonable cost. i had dealt with the same service advisor all that time. about June of 2022 my other Hyundai Tuscon (a 2017) ( and that is another story) daughters car began having problems and they said it was normal. i took them at there word. and kept taking both cars in for oil changes etc. since i had worked on cars in my early life, some of the (recommendations) were just that recommendation that i could fix myself. in early 2024 i took my 2016 in for an oil change, and a safety check and noticed that there hourly rate had changed, and that if i needed something diagnosed (thru the machine that they plug in for there 10 point free diagnostic) they said i needed a break job and it would cost in excess of 2000.00$ i declined (and had the safety check failed) and took it to a repair shop near my house (recommended by a friend) and got it done for less that 500.00$. i saved the parts and the mechanic that did the work said i really didn't need the breaks replaced. OK! i then too the car back for an oil change and my windshield washer was plugged up and had been on the to-do list from the safety check time. they said that it would cost 220.,,$ to diagnose the problem ( they had already said i should get it fixed, and it was obvious because water was not shooting t of it like it should. plus another 220$ (estimate of time needed to fix ) to fix the part plus parts. so in order to fix a problem that every motorist has (the sprayer not working) it was going to cost me (estimate) of 400$ plus parts to fix something that at most should have cost (my estimate) of 220$. me being a retired aerospace cost accountant figured it this way.(based on the original estimate) 50$ for the mechanics wage 55$ for the part and 295$ for the dealership. that is a lot for overhead!!! all of this is based on my questions to the manager and my own deductions. if and when i go there in the future it will be for an oil change to check for any recall's i might not have received. read more

What a Shitty service this has become. I paid $40 for full service expecting my entire car to be clean. I was in a rush and drive off as the car was finished only to to see a bunch of dust on my dash board and console as I was driving. I checked my cup holders and there were still coffee stains in there. They were never cleaned. Tony however did. do something new and put those silly papers in the foot room on each side. It's asking on there to share suggestion on how they can improve their service. So I called and told her that I just spend a good amount on full service and have still a dirty car. This girl doesn't care and just tells me that people complained and how they done clean the dash and cup holders anymore. What???? Why would o pay $40 for a half ass job??? I could literally hire someone for $20/hr and so my car. I just spend 2 hr of my work week to pay for this horrible job and expected a clean car and she is telling me if I want my dash wipes and cupholders cleaned that's called detailing??? So then I tell her, ok I guess I won't be using your service anymore. And she just Just me a "ok" Really?? You guys don't care about customers anymore?? I tell you what I rather Gomito someone who appreciate my money and me being a customer. I'll try Mckinnley next. I heard they like making money and do a fantastic job for less than your ridiculous price. I would also discourage everyone else to use Tony Autoplex. The exterior washing ok but it's cheaper to go to the self car wash around up the street. There you can vaccume yourself and hey that's pretty much all you get at Tony anyways and at least I don't feel like paying someone $20 just to vacuum and do a shitty job wiping a few windows. Took an half hour to get service writer to comprehend what my reason for bringing in my car under warranty repairs. NEVER BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY. They have not fix and of the broken items in my first year under warranty. 3. Mess with my things in the trunk which does not involve the car starter and soiled all of my personal items in my trunk. 4. For an hour took out my rubber mat on the passenger and touch my personal equipment and soiled all of it which was unrelated to the starter problem. 5.then i have to wash my carpet and my rubber mat and sll of my personal equipment resulting in thousands of dollars in DAMAGES. 6. Fail to fix any of the items the car was in for. 7. I ask to tell me why the computer software is reluctant to spark when cranking the motor to start and Joshua was very reluctant to and changed the subject. 8. When i asked Joshua to tell their mechanic not to touch & mess with my personally installed equipment he refuse to and never went to talk to the mechanic as i witness them. 9. Then their complaining my car doesn't shift into park when the door is open. It has never done that from the very first day i bought the car and not design that way. i came in for a battery replacement and he's messing with my shifter which has nothing wrong with it. 10. Spent 3 and a half hour there and they never replace the battery and never got to fix the apparently broken stuck plastic wireless charger door which is what i went there for. read more

My son and I love the 2016 Hyundai Veloster we just bought from Tony Hyundai. Andy Kim was really attentive in that I had initially inquired about the Costco special (which, I understand- pandemic- no longer exists) for a new 2021 Hyundai Accent, or 2020. or 2022 also no longer available- pandemic. For my budget he offered to keep his eyes out for any small, gently used (2016 or newer) car. When a 2016 Hyundai Veloster came available several weeks later, he called me early , before it was even on the sales lot, so I could claim it mine. The service department did a nice job making it look brand new. Though when we test drove it the week prior, I didn't notice the cigarette smell and that the driver sun visor was broken making rear visibility a little problematic. Odd. I paid for the car outright and the finance department was a little abrupt, stressing multiple times "as is- take it or leave it," while completing the paperwork. Thus I'm a little reluctant to call about fixing those two items, but I think I'm going to try to call Andy and see if he can help. He was so gracious. Overall a good experience and I would recommend Andy Kim at Tony Hyundai. The price for the car was decent but not great, as there is not much inventory for gently-used, sub-compacts. And the pandemic has made it worst, that and many manufacturers getting out of this class of car. I do love that Veloster though- such a cute, sporty car! So...UPDATE...A day or so after I picked up the car and sadly lamented the broken sun visor and smoke smell, both when we picked up the car and online, Andy sent me a text saying he ordered the visor and they would fix it no charge. He said to just make an appointment with service. I called and was able to get an appointment within a week, they only took repair appointments before 11am (which makes sense so the car can be returned by end of day.) My son took his car and the diagnostic report my mechanic did (all pretty minor notes) in and it was all handled in a little over an hour. Some bounce sheets left in the car and joyrides with windows and sunroof open later, the cigarette smell is almost gone. At present, I would never recommend Tony Nissan Service to anyone: I bought a used Nissan the 1st week of JAN 2025 from a different corporate dealership, and - almost immediately - noticed issues. Despite these issues and being a long-time Waipio resident and a satisfied repeat customer of Tony Nissan Service years ago, I was confident when I dropped off my vehicle for diagnostics on a Thursday evening for early-bird check-in Friday morning. Initially, my Service Advisor was very responsive and helpful...and then morning turned to afternoon, and Day 1 turned into 11 days. Days 2 through 11, I only received 1 voicemail message from my Service Advisor without any firm updates...despite multiple unanswered calls resulting in me leaving a handful of voicemail messages wherein I only requested updates. On the afternoon of day 11, I received a hastily composed text message telling me I have ~ 2 hours to pick up my Nissan before I would have to wait until the following day for pick up. Upon payment and pickup, nothing about the service nor the service delays was explained to me; I was only given my service invoice and a car wash coupon. Once my Nissan was returned to me, its odometer had acquired 2 miles; there were smudged, dirty boot/shoe prints near the door jamb of the passenger side front seat [as if someone sat there and nothing in the repair details warranted that] and there was a quarter-sized ink spot on the plastic of my driver side door just below the window. During my short drive home, I also noticed a "bite" at the seam of the plastic steering column cover and could feel scratches at the bottom of the brand-new aftermarket carbon fiber steering wheel I had purchased. Thorough review of my invoice indicated the "wrong part ordered...reinstalled steering wheel and accessories...reordered correct part". The "reinstallation" of my steering wheel is the cause of its fresh damage, but at no time was I contacted about the part reorder, and I am disappointed in and upset at the careless disassembly and reassembly of my Nissan. Without going into another issue, these are reasons enough to prevent me from returning to Tony Nissan for service as well as recommending this Service department to anyone read more

Service sucks. They are only nice when buying a car then you don't exists after that! Bought a car from Hyundai. Sales man was nice. The registration was due the next month so I asked if they could take care of it and he said yes. Also vehicle was precertified and only had one key so he said they will order another set. Long story short it took over 3 months for them to get my second set of keys. I am the one who had to keep calling and hounding them for it. They did not pay for my registration so 2 weeks later after I bought the car I am paying for the registration. When we bought it I was trying to negotiiate a lower price and was told its the lowest they can go because they would lose money if they went any lower. Come to find out I was over charged big time and paid well over what the car was worth on Kelly bluebook. Now I am trying to cancel my extended warranty because I learned it's worthless being im not even at that millage in order to use it. Walked in was told it takes about 6 weeks. Been over 3 months and they still did not cancel it. Walked in over a week ago, the paperwork was apparently not even filled out completely and they didn't even have it. I had to show them my copy. Was told it would be done that very monday... yet again nothing is done and no one answers the phone or calls back... also in service was told my rear brakes needed to be changed its at 3%... its a precertified vehicle and its been serviced not even 3 months ago... how do brakes go that bad in 3 months.... super disappointed in how customers are treated... I hope karma is served and they are treated the way they treat customers. On top of that they didn't even wash the car... smh read more

This is almost impossible. I have two LEAFS. Both brought at another dealership. Received the "Normal" new customer service that I have experienced at all dealership I've been to. Chevy, Dodge, Toyota... All treated me the same. So I accepted it as the norm. I just moved to Ewa Beach so I guess I have to come here. Needed to have my software updated. Went to my original dealership. They knew nothing about the software update. Called Nissan ant they said it's not a recall, it's just a software update. This can be done at any dealership. I came to Tony Nissan and they didn't even give me a problem they were able to take both cars in on Saturday and take care of the update. It was so amazing that they took care of both cars without an appointment. They treated me with the utmost amazing service and concerns. The treatment I received is what I would expect from a person who is thinking about buying a car not a person who already bought a car, let alone from another dealership. if this is the way the service department treat a customer that purchased the car from another dealership I could only imagine how they would treat a customer who's interested in purchasing a car. Received offer to purchase our vehicle off FB posting. Set appointment for eval with understanding that we had another appointment to get to and made arrangements accordingly. Eval and transaction discussion and paperwork were handled timely. Agreed on selling price but when it came time to hand over the check, 2 signers required, in a meeting, can't be interrupted. Took 40 minutes. Missed appointment and had to cancel other activities. What kind of customer service is that? Then arriving at the lot, I was impressed with the attendant who is always there to check everyone in. He is a great first impression that I found reassuring during our Covid times. Had to go to order a part. You're immediately greeted from when you enter the parking lot. If you don't know where to go the attendant will direct you. Lots of parking and easy to get to. There was no line and we were able to get help right away. My boyfriend was looking for specific part and the employee was quick to figure it out and showed a diagram just to be certain. Have been asking for months to have them buy my rusty truck back... small car loaner again, but with the note that they'll exchange the car for a full sized loaner truck - a BRAND NEW TITAN. Stan and Co have declined to buy mine back for use as a loaner (and to take care of a repeat customer) but went into their own new inventory to get one instead of buying mine which would be cheaper. ***Folks, if this doesn't tell you everything you need to know: You mean nothing to them*** My email yesterday to the owner Stan and executive team: "Tony Team, I went to drop off my Titan for repair today and found that perhaps tomorrow I will be given a brand new Titan as a loaner. In fact, it is so new that it is not even registered yet. Funny how I've been asking you all to buy my 2 year old Titan back because of the rust issue, repair it and then use mine as a loaner. Purchased 3 cars from this Autoplex with no complaints. I've only had used cars and it's probably all I can handle. This lot is filled with them. All brands too. The prices are decent, I wouldn't settle though. Definitely try to get the best deal you can. The last car we purchased here was many years ago so I can't speak to how they do business now. Anytime that we've visited the lot, we were always able to link up with a salesman. Not like some places where they can be stuck up and judgmental. My most recent visit, I just decided to take a look. I was approached by someone and I told him exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I didn't see anything I was interested in so we exchanged info and I was off. He contacted me a couple of days later, in a very casual way. I told him I had already purchased something elsewhere and he was very understanding. Just for that gesture I would definitely recommend him to others or have another visit in the future. If anyone has gone car shopping, you'd know that's the worst part about it... Pushy salesman. Here, it's really not like that. I can't say anything about the service departments though. But really, it's convenient, no hassle, and there's a good variety of car choices. Just a tip... Plan to check out vehicles in the daylight. The financial section of Tony auto group when told that my young daughter who moved to Hawaii from Texas and purchased an Auto from them and was told multiple times by her mom via phone from Shannon who is a person we dealt with that we would not accept the gap insurance or the service contract warranty on her 2011 Honda CRV, after at least 5 phone calls and not one response, they forwarded the fraudulent loan documents to their CPS Customer loan department who added the charges when we did not wish to have those. Seems fraudulent to push these on people high pressure and from the get go we said NO!!!!!!! Poor customer service and customer beware, they are doing this behind peoples backs and its just fraud. Over 60 hours have passed and with much research I finally found someone up the ranks to hear my plight. I was happy to talk to someone who was willing to hear and be empathetic to what's been happening. In my previous review I stated that my biggest frustration was the lack of communication. Without communication we cannot make necessary scheduling changes or adjustments to our day. I am working with someone who now personally oversees my dilemma. 11/4/23 the lot attendant named PRINCE escorted me to the car rental area and told me to wait in the showroom... 1 hour & 15 mins later my service tech called me to inquire my status... apparently, that piece of shit (PRINCE) did not even inform anyone that I needed service...to make things worse, my mom had endured a fall & was rushed to the emergency room by my sister who doesn't live with us ... The salesman was super nice through the buying process and for a week later. After that. He didn't return a single message. Until today I haven't heard from him. Bought the car in october. Had a couple issues, in december...they addressed in February because I KEPT CALLING. No one returned a single message. They didn't have my number. BS. Once you buy, you're in the system. And they didn't even fix the problems. After another week of leaving messages...finally get a return call.,by then I called another dealership and they will honor my warranty.
