Then the guy offered me $3 for records that were worth at least 30 a piece, they were barely used, near mint and he lowballed me, so brought my records to Mill City Sound and got offered a great price for my records, go to Mill City Sound in Hopkins not this place!

As I had plenty of time to spare for Lunch with my brother (at the nearby 5-8 Club), I wandered over. Know Name Records struck me as a combination of a CD/Vinyl records store, a head shop, t-shirt seller, memorabilia collection, head shop, disk golf dealer, and rummage sale. The later was based on a couple sets of old speakers, a turntable, and other vintage items that were for sale. Plus from this person of 65's perspective, it didn't look like the 2 older guys tending the counter had escaped the 60s. :) I had a great time looking around. I wasn't much interested in the weed-related or vinyl merchandise, and I would never get those speakers on the plane. But, the CDs were interesting and I found a great Vikings/Prince "Purple Reign" (if only for that NFL team) jersey that I just had to take home (see picture). I'm sure to come back the next time I'm anywhere this side of the Crosstown Freeway. Plus I'd fully expect that there would be a whole new inventory to explore. Good prices too.

Literally every single time I come into this store , no matter who I'm with, I'm assaulted by…read morenegative energy from two of the staff members. Todd In particular (pretty sure that's his name) is always rude and always seems to think I'm stealing??? He instantly starts whispering to the other male employe and they both watch me the entire time. He follows me around the store asking if I'm "still looking" and as soon as pick up an item he asks if he can hold it at the desk for me JEEZ!!!! I've never once stolen in my life and haven't so much as gave this man a funny look. This makes for a really uncomfortable shopping experience for me. Although I love all the products the store has to offer, this has happened multiple times and I'm beginning to opt for the crystal location even though it's a further drive just to keep away from these rude employees.

I find the prices very fair and more importantly every used record I have purchased has been in great condition. They are very transparent if a record isn't in great condition. I wasted a lot of time and money scrounging antique stores for records only to be disappointed when I played them at home. Now I just go to Mill City where their great and friendly staff always steer me in the right direction. I bummed that my mom got rid of all my vinyl when I went into the military, but pumped that I discovered Mill City.

He had asked to use the bathroom at one of the neighbor places , they told him no . This place was nice enough to let my dad use their bathroom .
