I have been here several times over the last few years, as it is my grandfathers favourite local.
I think the staff are always lovely. They are attentive, friendly and definitely show patience with my grandfather who has a hard time hearing.
The location is small, but it's enough to fit a several smaller tables in. If there is a big group, people may have to be turned away as the kitchen can't handle too many customers at once. The art is usually quite interesting to look at throughout the night.
The food is nice, but not worth the money for a normal night out. I've liked most of the food I have eaten here, but it is nothing to boast about and is generally what I would call quite 'average', not amazing, but not also bad.
Overall, I will continue going back as it's my grandfathers favourite, but I don't think it would suit me otherwise. I think it is perhaps more suited to older generations, as usually I am the youngest in the room, bar from a few young kids I have seen there. read more
