I write this review with a very heavy heart. This review is intended towards Caitlyn and not the other stylists. I just had the most atrocious hair experience of a lifetime. Caitlyn Casey aka Katy completely over processed my hair to the point of no return! I had the healthiest hair. I didn't even have a split end for goodness sake. My hair is/was very, very long. Beautiful luxurious hair that flowed to my lower back! My hair is fried. So sad. The ladies at my job shed tears when they saw me. They can't believe what Caitlyn did to me. Now, I can't finger comb my hair, it's natural luster and waves are gone. It looks as though I just got toasted in the electric chair. Hair is breaking off. So, so sad. I went back and they did acknowledge they f'd up. They did put a deposit and deep condition my hair at no charge but what good does that do? They should have returned my money and offered to service my hair at no charge until they get it back to its natural form because this was a disaster that caused severe permanent hair damage....Severe hair damage. Very, Very unfortunate situation that has caused damage that will take quite a few years to regain the hair I once had. This isn't a matter of a bad haircut or a unwanted color (I had plenty of those throughout the years and never made an issue or complained because that can be fixed), this is about completely destroying strong, gorgeous healthy hair strands. Unbelievable. I'm just happy I have a sea of people that know what my hair quality was before Caitlyn DESTROYED my hair from the roots to the ends. Now I have severe breakage, brittleness and can't even comb through my hair. It's permanently damaged. Darn it. Caitlyn is not a professional, too young and lacks experience. Very, very incompetent. All I can do is share my story and hope it helps someone avoid this disaster. Absolute heartbreaking. This review is based and intended towards Caitlyn Casey aka Katey. I can't speak for the other hairstylists because it wouldn't be fair to them and their hard work. Christina, did what she could to clean up Caitlyn's incompetence. My last visit, Justine performed a color correction for me, removing all artificial color out of my hair; leaving me with a beautiful copper-red end result. I bought a Groupon to Tony & Guy. I saw Molly and I came out feeling like a million bucks. She did exactly what I wanted. She took off the dead ends and cut long layers. It looks much fuller and healthier . She was so nice and sassy with her pink hair and fishnet stockings. She explained what she was doing and why. The scalp massage was also wonderful. I absolutely loved this salon so much. I can't even begin to tell you that I hate doing my hair to begin with and now I feel like I want to come everyday. Crystal made my first impression. She washed my hair till I fell asleep before I got any other services done. I originally just wanted a hair cut but after she took her time into making sure all my split ends and making my layers look absolutely beautiful I wanted even more treatments. So I got an all over color by Christina ,with the Ola plex treatment and man does my hair look even more healthy and silky. She took her time going into every thick layer of my head and I am so picky. So happy that she did not miss a spot and I enjoyed her company. I LOVE THIS SPECIFIC PLACE SO MUCH. Coming back for extensions with Maddy! So freaking happy with how my hair turned out and it's going to look even better. They have a smoking deal going on when you pay for 5 blow outs for $125 dollars and each blow out is originally $49 so I'm so happy to get that smoking deal!! read more

I purchased One Haircut, Style, and Full Highlights. However, a partial highlight was done as opposed to full highlights. In the end, the color turned out too dark even it was similar to my original color. I was told that they need to use beaching to lighter the color and I did not want that. I was told that I could come any time to get my hair fixed and it would be a complementary service. Additionally, they told that it should be at least one month to color my hair again. Then, they scheduled my next coloring (Friday) one month later and the hair cut that I had already paid by Groupon (Saturday). I also paid an upcharge fee for the haircut on that day. I went Toni&Guy one-month later to have "a complimentary" full highlights. After my full highlights were done, they again asked the upcharge fee for the hair cut although two people said that they made a note on their system. I was scheduled for a haircut for the next day. The next day, I received a phone call saying that I needed to purchase one more Groupon because I had a partial highlight before. I told them what happened and he told me that it was a misunderstanding and I needed to have the complimentary service within two weeks. I again told him that it wasn't me who decided the scheduling, which was based on the time needed for the next coloring, which was suggested by the hair color specialist. While I was trying to explain the situation, he kept telling me I needed to purchase another Groupon. I told him that this situation didn't happen because of me and I was misinformed. If I knew I needed to buy another Groupon, I could just use my hair cut service later. After he had repeated couple times that I needed to purchase another Groupon, I told him I don't want to use their service anymore, and I was very unhappy about this situation, he talked with his manager and told me I should pay $39 for conditioning. I told him that it wasn't about the money that they are asking me to pay, it was about the treatment that I received related to this experience. I told him I do not want to use their service anymore, will not come for the hair cut that already paid, and cut the money that they are asking for. I should add that nothing is personal, but I was very disappointed and unhappy about this situation. I think Toni&Guy need to have a better policy and communication between their staff (and with customers) to handle these kinds of situations to provide better services. read more

I went into Toni & Guy today for the first time. I scheduled the appointment online. I scheduled it with Nicole, after a referral to go to her. She was very nice, introduced herself, let me know she was finishing up with a client and wanted to clean up! Totally understandable! The head massage was fantastic, my favorite part of any haircut! She asked what I wanted and followed my ideas. She understood why I wanted what I wanted too. Very awesome experience! Will definitely be back! And my hair feels so healthy! read more

I have long thick coarse curly hair and Josh managed to actually get my hair straight. This new Toni&Guy salon is by far my favorite location. The staff is friendly and helpful and they make you feel welcome. Crystal has been cutting my hair for years. Once I found her, I could never let her go. I have long, thick, wavy hair and she always takes the time to make it look perfect. She is extremely talented and is always up to date on the latest styles and techniques. I'm a loyal customer and so are my two kids. We would be lost without her. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at Toni and Guy. This is a new location and it is obvious the staff isn't ready to meet the Toni Guy standard. Paid more for my services than I ever had and spent almost 4 hours in a chair for color-no not complicated color. Yes color ONLY! Didn't get what I wanted or even close too! After almost 5 years with Toni & Guy, I sadly have to cut my ties. I don't know if it was the management or my colorist and stylist (I will leave names out of this, in case it truly was the salon management) that decided it was okay to completely screw me over for my wedding...but I just can't get over it. It kills me because I had been with the same team for so long and I truly cared about them and considered them my friends. But after discussing them coming to do hair and make-up for my wedding for almost 8 months, 22 days before my wedding i received a FB message (yes, a FB message, not a call) letting me know that the shop was not going to allow them to both be out of the shop at the same time. So, naturally, I asked if that meant that only 1 would be coming...but that was ignored and I was told that neither would be coming to do hair an makeup for me or my wedding party. Note - they knew that the wedding was on an island in California with VERY limited hair and makeup talent. I was BEYOND upset. I was now facing having to have all of us attempt to do our own hair and make up for my special day...meaning crappy pictures, extra stress and lots of tears. I had one last apt prior to leaving for my wedding, which I kept...hoping I would at least get an "I am SO sorry" or "Please tell me you found someone else". I got nothing...no apologies, no questions about the wedding...nothing. In fact...one didn't even come talk to me at all. I had to control myself the entire time...my eyes started welling up constantly out of hurt, anger and sadness. It was the worst experience ever. So...just know...loyalty doesn't seem to mean much to the salon and they don't really care if they ruin a huge day for you. And if they are okay with ruining that, I worry what else they may not really care about when it comes to clients. read more
