From start to finish the work was a disaster…read more They were always late, no communication from the office had to constantly call to find out where they were. Fun fact they are willing to delay a job and make it run over because they had another delivery. This meant that I had to go to an apartment for a third day, cost and time that we will not be seeing again. The job was supposed to take 2 days and was finally finished in 3 with some of the shoddiest work I have even seen. We were using a finance company and we asked they hold off on payment until the work was rectified. They asked for me to send evidence of the work, we sent the 29 photos and they immediately put a hold on the payment. The rudeness of office staff was 2nd to none! I sent through all the images and has no response for 4 days, I then receive a call completely ignoring the images telling me to pay. I am sure if I had not put a hold on the payment that is the last we would have heard. The only way to truly fix the windows would have been to rip them out and start again. We paid extra for grey windows and the frames were so damaged (all corners cracked off) also paint scrapped off on multiple areas on every window, fly screens joins not even meeting. They said they would send a man to 'fix' the windows, I said that there was no way in the world I would have have the installers back and I emailed asking for confirmation they would be here at 10am and who was attending. I received no response and then at 9.30 (in the middle of a meeting) they rang the bell. Who is there, a man with the original installers. They have filled all the cracks with silicon which is not what we paid for, the kitchen window with its unfitting strips has been left. So damaged by the installers I have little confidence in the longevity of the windows. White paint that the spilled over the garden slabs that they did not clean up. I hope no one has to go through the pain with this despicable company.

At the initial consult, Rob generously answered all our questions and advised us on how to plan our new windows using his extensive knowledge. Our interior carpenter was impressed by the quality of the window framing. The new triple glaze windows have improved our house's appeal and made the house quieter and warmer. No longer is there any humidity accumulation on the inside window glass or sill. Extremely satisfied with A1 Windows, highly recommend!

All my subsequent messages were responded to within an hour. I am impressed by their responsiveness. + One of the few blind/shade retail stores that also provide repair services in Vancouver. I have a 2-year old roller solars shade in my home previously installed by the building developer. The metal chain of the roller shade came off track and was tangled, resulting in the roller shade to be stuck and not being able to be closed. Most blind companies Who responded only install new blinds/shades that you purchase from them. Greystone is the only one who offers the repair services. + Short wait time. I contacted Greystone on Friday and was able to get an appointment on Monday. Another company that offers the repair service has a 2-week waiting list. The Greystone technician was able to fix the off-track and tangled chain promptly so I could get a good night sleep with no city street light shining from outside again. + Prompt service. The technician communicated with me regularly on the day of the appointment. I received a call 30 minute before my appointment. When the technician couldn't find the building, he contacted me to confirm the address. I was given a one hour window for the arrival time, as opposed to the 4-hour window from other repair appointments. The technician arrived on time and fixed the blind within 30 minutes. The technician Humam was very courteous in all his communication. + Good quality work. The technician Humam did an excellent job. My roller shade can be closed and opened smoothly again. - Cash only. But they sent me a receipt. The quoted price included the tax. So I paid exactly what was quoted. + I would recommend Greystone Blinds to others who need installation and repair services for their roller blinds and solar shades.
