This place is never open. Says it opens at 4 pm. Ive been there after 5 pm and still not open. Whoever owns this business is providing poor service to Hertford. Its the only pizza place around. If you dont want to run your business then sell it so Hertford can enjoy its only pizza place. read more

Just started going here after years of ignoring the place- I'm so happy I finally went! They have the best eggplant parm I've had in this area! It's crispy edges and cheesy goodness and a hearty portion. My friend takes the pasta and we both get salad and a glass of wine and dinner is done. The wait staff have always seated us quickly, brought drinks fast, & remained attentive. The garlic knots were also amazing. It may not be pretty from the outside but don't let that stop you! We decided to try pizza at Tommy's in Hertford. Ordered a 16" thin crust "Bianca". It looked good but was horrible. The crust was like cardboard. I've had frozen pizza that was better. We are not picky eaters, but this pizza was beyond bad. Now that I'm home my stomach is killing me. We've had Italian subs from this shop which were pretty good. Reliable pizza place for takeout. Quickly become a go to for nights where I want something to grab something for a social night. The Alfredo is good and so is the pizza, a real gem for being so conveniently located. Right next to a grocery store so you can get groceries knocked out while they have your order in the oven. Service has always been wonderful for ordering, they are very kind and concise. To-go order and they forgot one item we ordered and paid for. We didn't discover this until we got to our residence, which is a 20 minute drive. We called and was told we could drive back and they would give us the missing item. It was late so we went the next day. My family has been eating at Tommy's Pizza for over 10 years and i can sadly say we will no longer be going there, in the past year or two the food has gone down hill and the prices have gone up. In my earlier review I forgot to mention the hand pattied hamburgers. What a treat. Of course the pizza has just the right amount of light crunch when you bite down. If you get the regular spaghetti and salad come hungry. It's more than I can eat. I always have enough for lunch the next day, and I am a big eater. read more

Tommy's Pizza is located next door to Food Lion. It's a comfortable family restaurant with plenty of seating and a wide variety of food. Check the board in front for specials. Beer and wine are available, and they accept debit/credit cards. My husband ordered the meat lovers pizza and I had the fried flounder special with two sides. We were both very satisfied with our meals. Our waitress, Jolene, took excellent care of us. She was knowledgable about the menu, friendly, fast, and efficient. She was very attentive without hovering, and anticipated our refill needs. This place was too busy to address someone at the door. Yet that busy atmosphere was so minuscule compared to the rest of the food industry. They need to have one person on register, one to ring out customers, and one for their pick up window. Two employees are not enough. read more

Bad food and horrible service. It took an hour and a half just to get a burger to go. Server was rude and knew nothing about the menu. The burger was cold. ... bun was so soggy it couldn't be eaten. Fries were cold and in a pool of grease. I asked for a refund and they refused. Horrible place! ! Dining room is dirty, servers smell like body odor. I will never return! Service fairly good BUT pizza and food are horrible. My salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, canned black olives, a dozen peppers and watered down ranch dressing. Breakfast anytime and pancakes that cover a whole platter. Pizza's, burgers, seafood. A very large menu to choose from. Good all around food and good prices. The Bar B Q sandwich is huge. The fries are sometimes the coated variety but other times they are just regular potatoes. A nice dive. The best in Hertford. The service is good too. Mike always takes good care of us. read more

My mom had an event for her job here a couple of weeks ago. She payed for the pizza that was $30 and left a $10 tip over 20%. Today she received a message on Facebook to her businesses page from her waitress saying that she was not allowed to come back because her group took up three of her tables and only left that tip. She called to make a reservation and they said they did not take them. She called the owner and they were not apologetic for the very rude comment from the staff member. read more
