This place is never open. Says it opens at 4 pm. Ive been there after 5 pm and still not open. Whoever owns this business is providing poor service to Hertford. Its the only pizza place around. If you dont want to run your business then sell it so Hertford can enjoy its only pizza place. read more

Just started going here after years of ignoring the place- I'm so happy I finally went! They have the best eggplant parm I've had in this area! It's crispy edges and cheesy goodness and a hearty portion. My friend takes the pasta and we both get salad and a glass of wine and dinner is done. The wait staff have always seated us quickly, brought drinks fast, & remained attentive. The garlic knots were also amazing. It may not be pretty from the outside but don't let that stop you! Enjoy! read more

We decided to try pizza at Tommy's in Hertford. Ordered a 16" thin crust "Bianca". It looked good but was horrible. The crust was like cardboard. I've had frozen pizza that was better. We are not picky eaters, but this pizza was beyond bad. Now that I'm home my stomach is killing me. We've had Italian subs from this shop which were pretty good. Don't think we'll be coming back. read more

Reliable pizza place for takeout. Quickly become a go to for nights where I want something to grab something for a social night. The Alfredo is good and so is the pizza, a real gem for being so conveniently located. Right next to a grocery store so you can get groceries knocked out while they have your order in the oven. Service has always been wonderful for ordering, they are very kind and concise. I haven't and likely won't sit down at this location, so I can't comment on the interior or dining in experience. read more

Whenever we are in hertford we make it a priority to stop by Tommy's pizza! They have a very large pizza called the Tominator and it is huge and yummy! Its a nice place with nice people! read more

It's good pizza with a great price, and they throw a case of the greasy squirts in free. So ladies and gentlemen, bring your own roll of toilet paper or be prepared to sacrifice your sock. I would take this ride again. read more

The food at Tommy's Pizza in my opinion is outstanding every-time my family and I order takeout it is perfect. Speaking about amazing food their service is always on point the waitresses are fast moving and always alert I have never been to a place where the waitresses are so attentive and make sitting in to eat a breeze. The atmosphere is consistent and clean there are many things about the environment that are welcoming and interesting read more

Had pizza from Tommy's tonight for dinner. Coming from New Jersey, I have been searching for a while for the just right pizza in the Hertford/Elizabeth City area. Tonight, I finally found it! read more

Just moved to the area and have already ordered twice. First time trying we got the special. Pepperoni pizza yummy. Second time tried the bacon with the pepperoni. It was ok. Will definitely be back to try the sandwiches read more

Good Evening fellow Yelpers, it's your favorite critic again with another great restauraunt for you to try. Nestled in a "no man's town" of Hertford, NC (roughly an hour from the Outer Banks) is a hometown favirite called "Tommy's Pizza!" It's been around since I was a child (now I'm telling my age, lol), but it was great then and it's great now! NY Style Pizza in NC! read more

To-go order and they forgot one item we ordered and paid for. We didn't discover this until we got to our residence, which is a 20 minute drive. We called and was told we could drive back and they would give us the missing item. It was late so we went the next day. I did ask for a little extra for the inconvenience of having to drive twice but they refused. read more

New to town and from NY. Figured I was S.O.L. In the pizza department. NC pizza Lord help me. The found Tommys. Couldn't be more happy. NY style dough. Great sauce. Great prices. And on the off chance not in the mood for a pie Double lucky because the menu is expansive. Tasty food Great value Friendly staff. We are new regulars! read more

My family has been eating at Tommy's Pizza for over 10 years and i can sadly say we will no longer be going there, in the past year or two the food has gone down hill and the prices have gone up. I paid $60 for two medium pizzas and chicken wings only for the pizzas to be raw in the middle and the chicken wings over cooked, Sorry Tommy you've lost a loyal customer. read more

In my earlier review I forgot to mention the hand pattied hamburgers. What a treat. Of course the pizza has just the right amount of light crunch when you bite down. If you get the regular spaghetti and salad come hungry. It's more than I can eat. I always have enough for lunch the next day, and I am a big eater. read more

I stopped in here for lunch and had a Pepperoni Calzone. It was very good and the service was as well. I'll be sure to stop in again the next time I am in the area. read more

Tommy's Pizza is located next door to Food Lion. It's a comfortable family restaurant with plenty of seating and a wide variety of food. Check the board in front for specials. Beer and wine are available, and they accept debit/credit cards. My husband ordered the meat lovers pizza and I had the fried flounder special with two sides. We were both very satisfied with our meals. Our waitress, Jolene, took excellent care of us. She was knowledgable about the menu, friendly, fast, and efficient. She was very attentive without hovering, and anticipated our refill needs. TL;DR This is a casual restaurant with large (but tasty) portions of food at an affordable price, and good service. read more

This place was too busy to address someone at the door. Yet that busy atmosphere was so minuscule compared to the rest of the food industry. They need to have one person on register, one to ring out customers, and one for their pick up window. Two employees are not enough. read more

Great pizza, spotty service (forgot a salad. I waited 15 minutes), sweaty help. Kinda gamey but again, great pizza.

Bad food and horrible service. It took an hour and a half just to get a burger to go. Server was rude and knew nothing about the menu. The burger was cold. ... bun was so soggy it couldn't be eaten. Fries were cold and in a pool of grease. I asked for a refund and they refused. Horrible place! ! Dining room is dirty, servers smell like body odor. I will never return! This place needs to be closed down! Several health violations in plain view. Eat at your own risk! read more

Service fairly good BUT pizza and food are horrible. My salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, canned black olives, a dozen peppers and watered down ranch dressing. The pizza is canned sauce with sausage "nuggets" and generic pepperoni. The place is dirty. We've gone there more times then I care to admit as Hertford has limited restaurant choices. And each time it is bad. read more

Breakfast anytime and pancakes that cover a whole platter. Pizza's, burgers, seafood. A very large menu to choose from. Good all around food and good prices. The Bar B Q sandwich is huge. The fries are sometimes the coated variety but other times they are just regular potatoes. A nice dive. The best in Hertford. The service is good too. Mike always takes good care of us. read more

45 minute ticket times on simple orders, food sitting in the widow for 10+ minutes, what a joke...

This place rocks! Great pizza, sandwiches, and even dinners like surf and turf, lasagna etc... Makes for a nice rounded out menu. Prices are good as well as service. I will be a repeat offender. read more

My mom had an event for her job here a couple of weeks ago. She payed for the pizza that was $30 and left a $10 tip over 20%. Today she received a message on Facebook to her businesses page from her waitress saying that she was not allowed to come back because her group took up three of her tables and only left that tip. She called to make a reservation and they said they did not take them. She called the owner and they were not apologetic for the very rude comment from the staff member. read more
