Driving to work for my night shift at the hospital on a Saturday night- I got a flat tire from a HUGE pothole on 363. I randomly called local tow services in distress. I called Tommy's and at first they said they were too far away from my location. I then called another place.. but the earliest I could get a flat tire changed was over an hour, which was not good. I was crying. Tommy called me back and said his son is close by, which was, I think, divine intervention. Luckily, both of his sons came pretty quickly, now at 11pm- and changed my tire. They were nice young men, very polite and respectful. They were outstanding. I'd totally use this company again! Thanks guys!!! My experience with the driver was excellent. However, it took 3 days to get a receipt. I recognize typo's happen and I had to call to get my email corrected. after the second call the email still wasn't correct, so I emailed them directly through their contact page so I knew they would have the correct email address. The manager then calls me and yells at me for sending them an email for a typo, one they couldn't seem to get correct over the phone. He goes on to tell me to never call them again. Highly unprofessional. Only use these guys if there are no other options. read more

I have spent 6 months calling them. Begging for them to enforce parking policies at my apartment complex in which they have agreed to provide service. They have signs posted at every entrance saying Tommys monitors the lot. Not once in over dozens of calls have then been kind enough to even return a phone call. My apartment complex who has been unable to reach them, has started vetting new, reliable towing services. Tommy's Mainline Towing appears to be a "phone book" listed business only. They do not respond to any attempts to contact them. They do not monitor any of the parking contracts they have with places along the mainline. They may have gone bankrupt and closed years ago as far as I can tell. read more

Tommy's Towing towed my car one evening from Ardmore, PA 19003. The vehicle was picked up the next day, however, was not at the office location in Berwyn but rather at satellite lot. My wife was presented with a receipt which had a clause that "owner has inspected the car and there is no damage." She did not sign it as it was presented to her BEFORE they told her the car wasn't even at the location where the office is located and where they had instructed us to go. Upon picking up the car, turning over the engine, it was obvious from the loud noise that there was something wrong. We took the car to dealer to get inspected and sure enough they had torn off and damaged the catalytic converter as well as other related parts underneath the vehicle. About 6 unreturned phone calls to the office. Incident Report filed at Lower Merion Township. Now spending my time sending certified letters, preparing for court in District Justice Office. This is my 1st yelp review. I had a problem with my car while at a gas station; after speaking to my dealership (who told me there was nothing they could do and wished me luck trying to get home) I called Tommy's Towing who told me they could be right over. They spend 45 min to an hour working on the issue in the freezing cold (currently it is 21 degrees outside) and saved me an expensive tow (and a headache having to rent a car the next day). 1st rate service! I called for a tow because my car wouldn't start; i didnt think it was the battery because the electricity was working. When David came out, he realized it was the battery and gave me a jump. He was completely professional and had a great sense of humor. The best part, however, was he showed me what he was doing and even checked my oil and cleared the leaves from the top of the engine, all tbe while answering my questions. What a great guy! First off: Tommy is in BERWYN, NOT Wayne. Over the years, I've had a couple of occasions to need a tow. My service station recommended Tommy. They came quickly and got my car to the shop - and extra points - dropped me at home and let me get all my stuff out of the car. Tommy is now affiliated with Conestoga Collision in Berwyn. They are good, too, but Tommy has never in my experience tried to push them or any other shop. read more

My Honda civic died around the Bryn Mawr/Wayne area. Luckily, there was a police car nearby. He called a tow truck for me while I was trying to find one to call on my iPhone. Tommy's was the one he called. Tommy was very fast as I was calling the person I was about to meet that I couldn't make it, Tommy was there before I finished the call.So, off to a good start, the policeman trusted him and Tommy was fast. He would still get a good review if that's all he did, but he did a little more. First, I was about to go to the dealer because I had 2 bad experiences with mechanics and decided to pay an arm and leg rather than take an unknown. Tommy did recommend a mechanic to me. I was hesitant at first, but I trusted him because the cop had called him and he showed he was fast. The mechanic turned out to be Ed Forde Service center, which turned out to be great. (See my review on why he made the right choice for me.) In addition, I needed to rent a car because I was without one for the weekend. He knew of several places. Although, this was a Saturday past noon and there wasn't one open, so he tried to find several but we couldn't. Neverthless, he went the extra mile, he took me to a trusted mechanic, who I am proud to say is my mechanic and tried to look for car rental place for me. Things he didn't have to do for me but he did, so he gets 5 stars. read more

They might have good reviews for some service but the towing service experience I had with company was awful! My car was towed there and the guy first told me that he did not want to rip me off and he was not going to charge me for an entire day.The reason, He informed me that my car was towed in the morning and I got it before closing on the same day! He then changed his amount and decided to charge me the storage fee as well! When I addressed this concern, one of the workers told me they were going to charge me anyway! This place is bogus, don't use them! Also when I paid the $210, 185 + 25 for storage the elderly guy took his sweet time to move his car out of the way so that I could get my vehicle. I would've given negative stars to this place! AAA called this company to tow my car after it broke down on a highway, and AAA said they would tow my car to 'main line collision' body shop. After a few days of not being able to hear back anything, I called mainline collision and they said they never had my car there and they had me called 'tommy's towing'. Turned out they had my car stored in their lot and the guy on phone said I'd have to pay more than $700 for less than a week of storage. I told AAA and them it was never my intention to store my car there, but they said Tommy's towing and main line collision have the same address, so I'll be responsible for the expense; also it's cash only. Whenever I called Tommy's towing, the guy was extremely rude and impatient, and said I had to go in person to pay in cash before I can take my car. So I called my own tow guy and went up there. There was no one in the towing office, so I had to call and wait. Finally my tow guy came also, but my car was still blocked by other cars, so I called the same number again as asked if someone could come move the other cars. Then this same rude guy just yelled at me and even say 'don't waste my fucking time, just fucking pay in cash first'. It was extremely unbelievable and obnoxious. Also I found out from one worker here, one day of storage is only $25, and my car was there for only 10 days, so it's $250 not $700!!!! And now he still hasn't sent anyone to move the cars that are blocking my car, and I'm waiting under the sun with no one to assist me. This is completely unbelievable, I would NEVER recommend anyone to use their service. I don't understand why AAA would be using them. read more

My car died on Rt 30 by Radnor HS on a Friday just before rush hour. BMW Roadside NON-assistance dispatched a tow truck that was promised within 1 1/2 hours. 2 1/2 hours later, they were telling me "another 20-30 minutes". Ugh. A guy (never got his name--He said he had a twin brother if that helps!) in a Tommy's tow truck happened by and asked if I needed help. After checking with BMW Roadside NON-assistance, he professionally and efficiently got my car up on the truck and transported it to the dealer.
