Now keep in mind they are very busy and so they may not be working on just 1 vehicle at a Time as I was there from 9am to almost 1pm. But they Do quality Work and their estimates are a nice value as it prepares you for the Just in case scenario if it's more or less. But I'd HIGHLY recommend them All your Service Needs.

I spoke with Dom a week ago to set up an appointment time and date (which was today about 2 hours…read moreago). I have 7 kids (I'm a foster parent), and I'm a full-time student. Between doing homework and tending to my kiddoes, I missed a text and a phone call from Dom because one of my kiddoes had my phone. Rather than showing up at our already agreed upon date, time, and location, Dom just moved on to his next appointment. About a quarter to 4, I realize what time it is and clearly i've not spoken to Dom so I got my phone and reach out to him. Rather than having any understanding he put the blame on me for the missed appointment. Saying I knew we had this appointment, I should have had my phone readily available so he could call prior to coming (this was not discussed when we originally agreed that he would be here today at 2pm). I just wasted a week where I could have scheduled with someone else. Dom's approach to this situation was ridiculous and I will not be reaching out to this guy for any future service needs. So many reviews say he was reliable, but in this case, he was flat out disrespectful and lacked any professionalism when I reached out. Update (same day as initial review): Just received a phone call (920 at night) from Dom, who questioned my review attempting to justify his actions of moving on to his next appointment because I did not immediately answer my phone at the appointed time. He mentioned I was a "jerk-wad" and fit the description for a "typical Yelper" because I foster 7 children and for writing my initial review. He also mentioned that assuming that someone will be at the time and place agreed upon was unrealistic in his line of work. His response to my initial review also provides false information as he texted me once at 204, and called at 210, contradicting his message of "I always call my customers at least an hour in advance". This follow-up phone call of his continues to prove my initial point of a complete lack of respect and extreme unprofessionalism, simply for leaving a 1-star review based solely on my own experience with him.

Because our previous service had been so good, we went back for brakes. We had them done and a…read moreweek later we felt and vibration and heard a squeak in the brakes. Immediately my husband knew there was an issue with the rotors, so we took the car back. We asked for confirmation about our rotors and their status. They claimed they were fine. I should have pressed the issue, because now my rotors are damaged and I have to have they replaced and it's costing me a over a grand to my brakes and rotors redone after less than 10,000 miles later. Now, Volvo is steadily making its money back through maintenance and part costs. This is a 2019 car (XC40) and, already, the driver's side seat heater stopped working. Tarn and his team looked into it, ordered another heating coil and...it still wasn't working. They said I would have to go to the Volvo dealership. You could tell that he said this with sadness in his voice. I have an appointment at Volvo for October 17th, they are charging me $200+ just to DIAGNOSE the seat heater issue. My previous car, a 2006 Acura TL, had 170,000 miles on it over 11 years and never had an issue with any of its seat heaters. Tarn was able to help with my 60,000 mile brake job. The brakes were grinding and his team replaced them for an eye-watering $1,570. After doing lots of research...that seems to be the going rate, not a hideous mark-up. Insane. It took a while for Independent to get the parts. I left my car with them while I was in Fairbanks for work for a week and came back and...they still didn't have the parts. They were kind throughout the whole process and explained to me the issues. And, when they finally attempted the seat heater (that they ultimately couldn't fix, sadly.) they gave me a Volvo loaner car to use, and they didn't charge me to diagnose the issue...as the dealership already has committed to.
