Classic case of, "A woman being taken advantage of"! I got…read morea diagnostic completed elsewhere. The Diagnostic said I need 2 transmission control solenoids, oil and a transmission filter. I spoke with Fred who advised replacement of the solenoids would be between $220 and $240 a piece including installation. I came to drop my car off to get the solenoids replaced. Fred was not there at the moment. I informed "Michael" at the front desk that I'd spoken with Fred. He said he'll be right back. I informed Fred I was leaving my car for Fred, who knew I was coming to drop it off. I came home and called back. Fred answered and advised me he was at auto zone when I came in and apologized. Then told me he would take care of my car. I got a call from Michael, the next day saying: It's not your solenoids that's the issue and to be able to see exactly what the issue is, we have to go in the transmission which will cost $1300 (by itself). Michael further advised it will be upwards of $3900 for whatever parts I will need. Very disappointed. I came with a request and expectation. I didn't get the service I requested. I got messed around with. Time and money totally wasted!

I said no thank you, and asked for my keys. The mechanic acted surprised, and asked "Are you really going to drive it away?" Today, I brought it to a Different place, to my surprise, the mechanic told me I had a leak in my transmission line. he repaired the line, and my Tie rod for $120. Either the Mechanics at the transmission CLinic are completely inept, or they are seriously trying to rob people.

Fred- Owner, Mike- Head Mechanic and the guys were awesome fixing my wife's 2017 GMC in 1- week!…read moreCalled the Owner Fred on a Friday and the Next morning He towed the truck back to his shop. Found out the Torque Converter had been wearing out for a while (clunking feel like bad u-joints at stop and go) and at just under 118K miles decided to finally give out slipping through gears sending metal throughout. Mike installed a better than OEM re-manufactured transmission along with Pump and Torque Converter. They could've stopped there, but they suggested to prevent from suffering the same problems in the future to re-program the Torque Converter lockup from the factory programmed lower gears (which increases MPG, but sacrifices longevity) to 5th and 6th gear. They ditched the GM 195 degree thermostatically controlled fluid circulation valve and installed a free flowing one to keep the Transmission fluid temps consistently 50+ degrees cooler (heat kills transmissions), programmed an increase in fluid line pressures to reduce wear on the clutches and deactivated the 4 to 8 cylinder shutdown programming that causes stress on the engine and transmission leading to other catastrophic failures ( we sacrifice a couple miles per gallon, but get piece of mind in the future longevity of the equipment). I was worried things would be broken in the process of working on the truck, but after inspecting it, these guys did a great job putting the exhaust, cross member, shift linkage and all the hardware back together with a 1-year/12,000 mile warranty. It's hard to find guys that do great work anymore. I wish them the best of luck in recently acquiring/consolidating their business in their new location at Airport Transmission. I have referred everyone I know that has a GM Pickup to at least go there and have the guys install the Transmission Fluid Bypass Valve along with reprogramming the transmission/engine prior to it deteriorating to the point of my wife's truck. It's upsetting General Motors sacrifices longevity of their product to gain a couple more miles per gallon in fuel mileage.

Had a transmission put in a vehicle. Immediately the following day when I put the car in drive it…read morewouldn't move. Finally figured out that the car had to be FULLY warmed up before it would move. Called the shop and was told the car was fine that every car needed to be warmed up. (Smh). Let them know to make a note that there were issues immediately. 16,000 miles and 3 months later (yes a bit over the warranty) the transmission went. Called the shop and they claimed to find the issue and fixed it and wanted me to pay $900. Two weeks later and After unnecessary and ugly going back and forth they agreed to take care of it "in good faith with no warranty." Not even 100 miles later the transmission went again which I'm assuming was "in good faith" also. Now in the beginning when they originally replaced the transmission, you'd like to believe you got a decent product and can get at least a year out of a transmission. Not here, they either clearly don't know what the hell they're doing or they are just blatantly robbing people seeing as how this seems to happen a lot given the reviews. Being a small business owner I was willing to deal with having to warm the work car up before it would move simply for the fact that I couldn't afford to be down that vehicle for another 2 long dragged out weeks waiting for a fix that shouldn't be needed in the first place. They insisted the car was fine and test driven before it was finished. You'd think they would've seen the gps tracker in the car that showed the "test drive" all of 0.6 miles. Stay far away from this place. They'll be out of business soon. Ended up having an awesome shop replace the transmission and will be recommending them to any and everyone who would like amazing service!

By luck we pulled in here, to inspect our car and get off the road. They were closed but by chance a gentleman was doing inventory or some extra work. He came out to see if we needed any help. He got on the cold snow covered ground and went to work locating the hole. He quickly determined he could patch the tire for us and did so. He could have stayed inside we would have never known he was there. We knew the facility was closed, we just pulled in to get off the road. This good Samaritan came to our rescue and boy was it cold outside. Thanks for your help!!! We would have been stranded forever because we didn't have a spare tire. You guys are the best.

Chili Automotive took a look at the recommendation and could specifically say why they thought it wasn't needed at this time. They noticed a tire that they put on was different the next time I came in and asked me if I changed it and I told them no asked me if someone else had driven my car and I said no until I realize I was at a hotel and then valet kept the car in a parking garage for three days. He actually called two places and gave me the number of a third for the type of tire that was sold in Ohio. As a single mom, I didn't have a ride home. The owner drove me home so again they go above and beyond. Elisa
