So I recently stopped by Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar for a work lunch this week for the first time... and boy...was I pleasantly surprised by my experience! Located within the Winter Park Village, attached directly to the Tommy Bahama clothing store, this restaurant can be easily spotted right in the center of the shopping plaza. There was plenty of parking in the surrounding area and valet parking was available close by. Upon entering, I was greeted immediately and brought to the patio area to meet my party. This restaurant only has indoor seating at the bar, tables are set outdoors underneath the shaded patio. This restaurant has a decent sized menu specializing in seafood! For starters, we had the Corn Dip and Steak Flatbread which were both flavorful and were a great sharing size! For my entree, I opted for the Grilled Shrimp Chopped Salad which tasted super fresh and was very filling... which totally caught me by surprise as I tend to not order salads at restaurants because I always end up hungry afterwards lol. Our server was amazing! She was very patient and super knowledgeable of the menu. Now as for the value... I will say that this spot is a tad bit more pricier...but honestly I didn't expect anything less because of the area we were in. Twelve of us celebrated a friend's birthday at Tommy Bahama's last Tuesday evening. It is mostly outside seating; however, there are some seats inside and more around the bar. While we waited for the group to arrive, we shopped in the store connected to the Marlin Bar. It's an all-in-one shopping dining experience everything Tommy Bahama. I didn't find anything in the store that jumped out to me other than a denim jacket I thought Nancy would like but it was $158, yikes. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our large group. We never felt rushed even though we were here for almost 2.5 hours. They had Jai alai beer on draft, which is one of my favorite beers, they were $8 each. A glass of wine will run you between $11-$15, and cocktails between $13-$18. You can save big time if you visit during happy hour everyday in the bar between 3pm-5pm. Shareables are $4 off, burgers are $10, specialty cocktails are $4 off as well. I'll include a menu so you can check it out. We sampled the Guacamole and Fire Roasted Salsa ($12) while we waited for our meals and it was delicious. This is the perfect size shareable for two to three people if you are also purchasing a meal. We also sampled the key lime pie ($7) and it was very good, not too sweet, the way I like it. For entrée's, Nancy went with the Ahi Tuna Mini Tacos ($16) and I chose the Bacon Smokehouse Burger Double ($21). Both meals were delicious, fresh and had a lot of flavors. If I were to return, I would definitely order the burger again because of it's enough to fill me, but I have to say it is a bit pricy for a burger and you don't get a whole lot of fries with the meal. Something else to note while dining in is that for larger groups like ours's they automatically add on a 20% gratuity to the check. The restaurant and store were very clean and organized. For a slow night like tonight the restroom could have been a bit cleaner and I noticed that the soap dispenser was empty in the men's room, other than that it wasn't in terrible shape. Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar is a beautiful place to take a date or meet up with a friend before a movie or night out. The menu is limited and pricing is competitive to other restaurants in the area. If you're not sitting inside the bar area, be prepared to sweat and possibly get rained on if you are dinning outside on a Florida summer day. We came here with a group of friends in November 2025. This was our first time here. The seating here is mostly outside. The also have a clothing shop connect to the restaurant that sells men's and women's Tommy Bahama cloths. Staff was friendly and took good care of us. I got the ahi tuna tacos $16. Very good. Scott got the double hamburger with bacon for $21 and it was also good. I tried their salsa and guacamole it was delicious. I was in the area today around Winter Park and I decided to stop at the Tommy Bahama Marlon bar and store. I was greeted ever so kindly by the bartender whose name is jaden. He told me that he has a menu one side has the food the other side has the drinks. To my knowledge they have a fair amount of cocktails as well as food options to dine from. Being at the Saturday before Easter I thought it was gonna be a bit busy but it's actually not too bad. This location is located right across the street from bar Italia as well as Ruth's Chris steakhouse. I decided to get the cucumber smash cocktail for $15 along with a side of chips and salsa. It is a very nice cocktail very light and refreshing the flavor of the elderflower with the cucumber taste very spring like. The plate of salsa and chips has a nice crunchy crispy texture to the fire roasted salsa it is paired with they are also dusted with like a cracked pepper and sea salt on top. If you haven't been here I will definitely recommend it they also have a type of club I guess. I was around the area and decided to stop by and have a nice lunch outside. I went in placed my order and found outside seating on the side of the restaurant. It is an open concept with a bar area, modern and welcoming. My server was attentive and checked on me often. Food was fresh, made to order and flavorful. Not my first time here, but I'll make this review for today's experience. We decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. It's very nice and clean. If you don't look over, you almost wouldn't believe you are next to a parking lot. Cesar (sp) was our server, he was great. We weren't looking for a big meal, just a little something to get us happy until dinner. My wife had the grapefruit basil martini and really enjoyed it. We had the street corn dip. It was very good, it has a little heat on the back end, but nothing that will set you on fire. Another bonus was live music. Scotty Lang was playing an acoustic guitar and singing, very pleasant addition to the environment. It's also connected to a Tommy Bahama store. If you like the brand it's a great afternoon or evening dinner. We will definitely come back when we are in the area to try some of the entrees. I'm the self-declared queen of happy hour. Their drink deals were pretty good compared to their normal menu price. Cocktails were $11 that would normally be $16-17. I don't think I would get these drinks off of the happy hour though. We came in about 20 minutes before happy hour started and after looking through the menu.. I decided it would be best to just wait the 20 minutes. There is no food on the happy hour menu, but they do have the drink deal happy hour every day which is great. Speaking of food, their portions are small. The "shareable" chicken wings were not very shareable. It came with 6 little wings. I did prefer the cucumber that they gave compared to celery which is usually what's served with wings at other places. The pieces of fish in my blackened mahi mahi tacos were a decent size (although a little overcooked)... I definitely thought it would come with more on it or a little side or something for $15... I do love the vibes of this place though! There is outside seating and then bar seating inside. There was live music, and the singer had a set of lungs on him! I see a lot of people left reviews saying they had to pay at the bar and then take a seat. We didn't have to do that. We just walked over to the outside seating area and flagged down a server. They also make it VERY CLEAR that they basically don't have assigned servers to tables and that you have to ask any of the staff walking around when you're ready to order or close out. If you aren't comfortable with that type of service, then don't come here and just to be upset. I prefer this because then I don't feel rushed in finishing my drink and ordering more. If I come back here to dine.. I would probably get a salad since the handhelds and shareables weren't the portion size I wanted for that value. The food could be a little bigger as far as portion size especially if they're advertising it as shareable. But if you're pretty hungry, you can eat each of these plates on your own. We thought there would be inside dining, but only at the bar. All of their dining (table seating) is on the patio, which is great weather permitting. I'm guessing you can seat maybe 16 people at the bar. If the weather is not good for sitting outside, they're losing business. Our bar tenders, Cesar, Jake and Collin were very attentive, personable and charming. Also very handsome! As with many restaurants today, prices have gone up; however, when a person pays $15 for two blackened Maui tacos and $17 for two steak tacos , one expects to get at least one side with their tacos like rice or slaw. I will say our tacos were very delicious. They do have a great happy hour and great cocktails; however, $23 for a double Titos on the rocks is a bit steep. Fleming's Steakhouse, which is a high end restaurant doesn't even charge $23 for a double Titos. Tommy Bahama, stop being greedy! They had a guy there playing music that was good, but could have been more uplifting and fun. You know, music that makes you feel like you want to dance. The place is very nice for a very casual sit down bar atmosphere, not a nice sit down at a table dining experience. I do love the store/bar combo. I visited here on a Saturday afternoon for the daily happy hour from 3-6pm. This was my first time visiting. There was no staff members giving directions on what to do (seat yourself, order at bar, where the menus were, etc.) It was a cluster when I approached. I ordered at the bar and ordered 2 cocktails: grapefruit basil martini & the cucumber smash I believe it was called. Also ordered the coconut shrimp, steak tacos, and crab dip. I went outside to sit (not seating inside unless seated at bar). There was lots of misters on but unfortunately I feel like it made it feel way more humid out there. Large moving fans would be better to circulate air during these extremely hot months. I thought the sauce with the coconut shrimp was perfection, steak tacos were good but cold, and the dip was tasty. None of the food is on the happy hour menu, and the cocktails are not really discounted even though in the happy hour menu. There were a few different people who stopped at our table to check in. Due to the large number of staff present, it would have been way easier to just have them take the order of drinks and food at the table. I was confused when the check came out because I thought I paid at the bar in the very beginning. The food was good and the drinks were good but a confusing setup. Pricing seems fair and service was particularly great having so many servers running around making sure your every need is met. The only huge ding I give it is the totally weird, order first, then find a table instructions. Hey, why is that weird? Other places do that. Well, yes, they do, but after sitting down they don't ask you if you want to order food. You see, it seems to be the case that all you need to do when "ordering first" is order anything and then find a table. After that it is pretty much full service from any server that comes near your table for further drinks or food. Why they do it this way, I truly don't understand. Very mild experience I had at Marlin Bar. While the food was good and the drinks pleasant, I can't say the service meets that standard. First things, I was extremely confused with the ordering process. No explanation is given on the serving arrangement. You have to open a tab at the bar before you can sit down and order food. At least that's my assumption because I'm still unclear. While waiting on the rest of our party to arrive, my friend and I were told we'd have to place our order at the counter and could only sit at the table if we ordered something. So of course we obliged and ordered drinks at the bar and said we'd wait for the rest of our party before coming back to order food. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was when I ordered a drink and used the Yelp check in feature to receive a free drink. This is clearly advertised here on their Yelp page (as of May 25, 2024 anyhow). The woman at the bar explained that this offer is not really affiliated with them and she wasn't sure it could be redeemed. She did check with the manager who allowed the offer to be accepted but I find this to be poor customer service. If the offer is on the Yelp page, it shouldn't be questioned. Remove it if you don't want to provide the benefit otherwise it seems like a bait tactic. Anyhow, when I received the final bill, lo and behold the drink was on the tab. I had to ask again for it to be removed. They ended up needing to refund the full bill to my credit card and print a new tab. Again, the offer really seems like a bait tactic that they have little intention of upholding. Backtracking, once our full party arrived, we were prepared to head back to the counter to order food and the rest of our parties drinks but a waitress approached and took our food orders and the remaining party member's drink orders. I was confused but happy to avoid returning to the counter. Meanwhile, we had to serve ourselves water and get napkins from a stand located near the tables. None of this was provided to us by the servers. At least put a napkin dispenser on the tables! I found it weird to be served food and then need to get up and get myself napkins. Ultimately, we found the food to be pleasant. We had a variety of items between us. We shared the street corn dip and I had the ahi poke bowl. The price seemed on point and about what I'd expect for its WPV location. Note that the establishment is mostly outdoor seating by the way. There are misters located above the tables which do help expel some heat. If you want to sit inside, you'd have to settle for seats at the bar. I can't say that I'm in a rush to return but probably would if persuaded by friends. I recently visited Tommy Bahama with my friend after a long day of shopping. I didn't even know they had restaurants, so we were excited to try it. I decided to switch things up from my usual shrimp order and tried the Nashville hot chicken sliders--and they were amazing! I ordered them as they come, and surprisingly, the garlic aioli and coleslaw didn't bother me, even though I normally don't like white sauces. I also got a zero-proof drink, which is a mocktail, and it was incredible. Usually, it's hard to find a place that makes great mocktails, but their menu was outstanding. I can only imagine how good their cocktails are! Our server mentioned that they make all of their mixes and syrups in-house, which is a nice touch. The drinks are well worth the price. The only downside was that most of the seating is outdoors. I was a bit cold, but thankfully, they had space heaters. There was live music and no set waiter you can stop anyone and they will help. I was last to arrive in my party so I started with drinks. I didn't end up getting a hh drink but I did try the frozen pina colada, it was so good I still think of it & I will definitely recommend trying one you won't regret it . It does pack a punch. I also ordered an espresso martini & it was good . For food I ordered the coconut shrimp & the mahi mahi tacos they were delicious. we were celebrating a friends birthday so they provided a brownie which was huge so she shared. 3rd visit tonight and just as great... We ordered the chicken mango salad, flatbread margarita pizza, tater tots, coconut shrimp, sliders (made with grilled chicken), buffalo cauliflower and a warm brownie sundae (no coconut). All 3 of us loved it. The food & presentation have been totally consistent every visit. Abby has such a great, friendly personality and clearly loves being a part of the team. She made the extra-visit special for us. Tabitha brought over a sample of the frozen mai tai for my wife & son to try out. Every member of the team seems to genuinely be invested in the business. That's so not an easy thing to accomplish! Live music is fun. On top off all that - the place is immaculate - from the restaurant to the store. I think the Marlin Bar is a semi-hidden gem. As someone who grew up in a restaurant business, this place is just doing everything right for its customers. I think they need more awareness in the community. Selection for drinks on the "Island Time" or happy hour menu was good, except the three drinks between us we tried were awful in flavor. There appeared to be no food selections besides sweets on that menu, so we ordered an appetizer off the regular menu. Food lacked luster as well. For the price point and location, we expected better. First of all, it's still the first week so kinks are expected. We arrived at the right time and got 2 seats at the already filled bar. Drink service was slow, but again - it's the first week and the employees/bartenders are still getting used to things. It was happy hour and my husband loved his pineapple martini and I had the happy hour malbec. The HH malbec was ok, 2nd glass i opted for the 2nd level Pinot Noir which was better for 'me'. As people continued to flow in, the bartender slowness continued, but again it's the first week so not too shocked. My husband really enjoyed the quesadilla - it did look pretty good and pseudo substantial; the Hurricane Tots while good were small in size and not really worth the added charge. The Coconut Shrimp, which reviews say are great were 'ok' in my book the slaw that came with them, though, was great. My husband really liked the shrimp, but I was less than thrilled - i thought they needed more - some 'wet'. Basically they were fried shrimp with some coconut in the batter. The Ahi Tuna Tacos were honestly quite good - 4 of them and I could only eat 2 - fortunately for my daughter. So basically seating is the one bar and all others come to the bar, place their order and get a # for the servers to bring the order to their table which is either in the open 'covered' seating area or the outside tables on the front side. Interesting concept - not sure about it, but it seemed to work ok. All in all, we would return and try more food items - especially when the weather is nice out. Is it cheap or inexpensive? It came with 2 sliders and I do think it should either come with a side or another slider, as it barely made me comfortable but I don't eat large portions. I hate ordering a whole side as it's usually too much for me, but a little something with a dish is different imo. My husband really enjoyed his poke bowl. You sit wherever you want and walk around with a flag to let people know where your party is. Want water? If you ask for it, your server will make you feel bad by saying "you can get it yourself" . Water is served in cheap plastic cups.. reminiscent of those red Pizza Hut plastic glasses. (Only not red) I ordered a piña colada and the texture was so smooth and creamy like butter.... But..looks like it spilled over onto the napkin and they never bothered wiping it. So my glass was kinda sticky. That's a $16 piña colada btw. We shared a plate of food. It was good.. just very expensive for a little nibble. At checkout, they pressure you to leave a review and say to mention their name as they have a contest going. They have a handy dandy business card for you to scan and stand over you while you complete it, which is making me think that's why this place has good reviews.. due to the pressure. My server was very nice though and staff was nice as well. Even the guitar player isn't actually playing guitar He is singing along to a track.. which is hysterical to watch if you catch it. The music is still great though, so I'm ok with that. Overall there are way better options for a drink especially when you have Bar Italia across the way with better prices and they give you unlimited water without the guilt. If I were the owner of this place I would: 1. Get rid of the tab the second you walk in. It's so impersonal and awkward if you come in with a group of people, since someone has to hand over their card. 2. Have the server mention where the water is when they first introduce themselves so the customers don't feel guilty for asking for water 3. Stop the pressure for reviews. Everyone I know who has tried the place wasn't impressed. Those reviews will happen naturally when you serve your customer 4. Offer a real happy hour with food like everyone else in winter park village. 5. Add water service. My bill was over $60 for 2 drinks and 1 bite to eat. Super good outdoor food with a small menu. The food is super fresh and really good drinks. I had the poke bowl and it is one of the best I've ever had. They have live entertainment which is a nice touch. It's not ideal to visit here in the winter because it was really cold during our visit and there is no inside seating option. The service was spectacular and I am looking forward to visiting in the spring and summer for happy hour. read more

This restaurant is the perfect edition to the winter park village! I love how you feel like you're on the beach or somewhere tropical. The coconut shrimp were my favorite. It is a unique style of service - you can order your first drink at the bar, get a table number and then order food once you sit down. Everyone works as a team, you do not have one dedicated server. From what I experienced all the staff was great, very friendly. The live music in the evenings is also a great touch! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. read more

Came here for happy hour and the drinks and food were great!! There was live music, a gorgeous covered patio with fans, and plenty of tables. It is seat yourself with multiple water stations outside. Jake our waiter was attentive, knowledge, and very kind! The Poke bowl was so fresh and delicious and the Mahi tacos were a crowd favorite. We shared some guac and that was delicious as well. Can't wait to come here more for happy hour! read more
