It seems like every time I go to Nordstrom Rack, I'm on a time crunch and can never spend as long…read moreas I'd like shopping around. I could honestly spend hours browsing here, but I do need to be looking for something specific in order to have success. I love to shop here for shoes and clothing brands that I love at more affordable prices. Most recently I was looking for leather loafers for work and shorts for summer. I was able to find both! I got some very comfortable Cole Haan loafers and a couple pairs of athletic shorts/skorts, plus a pair of jean shorts. They had some really cute pajamas as well, but I used self control and did not purchase them. I also love to shop here for toddler shoes for my son. They have discounted Adidas, Converse, New Balance, etc. in his tiny size and they are just adorable.

It is quite unfortunate that this store is so close because they have such great stuff in there. My…read moreposters are in pain just thinking about it. The staff are so nice and the selection is good. The store looks very nice and well put together. They have very good items at a great price too. The variety of items they carry makes shopping a breeze so just beware for your wallets. I went in with the intention of only getting a pair of shoes and an outfit or two and ended up with 4 pairs of shoes, some clothes, and some random things. I am a shoe connoisseur and I had a lot of fun going through the shoes there. I will be back embarrassingly soon.

Sadie at REI Winter Park is exceptional…read more She spent over an hour helping my fiancé prepare for a hiking trip to Costa Rica, carefully explaining the differences between trail shoes and guiding her to the right option for the terrain she'll face. Her knowledge was impressive, but what stood out most was her attention to fit -- she evaluated width, length, and even recommended going up half a size based on the shoe's construction and the demands of long hikes. She doesn't work on commission. She simply cares about getting it right. Sadie is exactly the kind of professional who keeps us coming back to REI.

In a recent time I finally decided I would invest in som hiking shoes, so it was really nice to have help from an employee when I chose several pairs, and then she brought out and extra pair that she said are more comfortable, and well I ended up purchasing that extra pair, thanks to her thoughtfulness. They have just about everything you need here for your backpacking, camping or hiking trip. But it can certainly get spendy. It's all the super high quality brands here so the price does not budge. There's a few sales here and there but that's why I wouldn't shop here so often. But once in a while it's nice and even to get inspiration for outdoors adventures. Something else cool about REI is they offer classes to members & nonmembers to teach you about backpacking, survival tips, and how to prepare for certain trips. I'm taking a free class for how to prepare for summiting Mount Everest Base Camp, how cool!
