Seriously, the best place to eat in Nebraska city! The atmosphere was great, server/owner was so accommodating and made sure we knew what we were ordering. I can't wait to go back again! So sooo good!!!

Vietnamese Iced coffee. This is very good.

I really like this place. The food has good flavor while not being like "every other place". Staff is friendly but not always in your face. Great balance. I was surprised at the portions of a couple of the dishes. More than expected. We could not finish our plates so we brought it home. It was great the next day too. I didn't get pictures of the orders. Sorry I'm bad about that. I tried each persons order and the only one I didn't like was my wife's Pho. Nothing against the preparation it just wasn't to my personal taste. The preparation was top notch and had good flavor balance. This wonderful place is nestled on Central Ave in Nebraska City NE. We are here often as I have family here and I guarantee we will be back and with cash for a tip. FYI if you pay by card you cannot add a tip. And next time I'll post pictures of the orders.

Oh where to start. I had the pleasure of dining at this pho restaurant in Nebraska City, Nebraska. I had the pad Thai seafood noodles. Delicious and fresh. Tommy is so cordial and enjoys making sure his customers are satisfied. There is a 15% off couple on their Facebook page. It's worth the drive. Happy eating.

A new place to Nebraska City, bringing big flavors and big portions. If you are looking for something different, then try Tommy Angels Vietnamese. The restaurant is clean, ample space to sit, and very welcoming. The owner himself greeted us and made some recommendations. When I said I like a little spice he offered to put his house made spices on the side to add as I needed. This spice was delicious and added such another level to already great food. My daughter had Pho, and if I am ever under the weather, I will be getting some of this broth to go. Get out of your comfort zone and give this new place a try! You won't b disappointed!

Heads up, soft drinks come in a can so no free refills here, but water is available, thankfully. I treated myself to a strawberry lemonade with popping dragon fruit boba, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Definitely getting that again. We started with crab rangoon. Service was a bit slow, even though it was not too busy, but the rangoons were worth every second. For the main event, we each grabbed a large bowl of pho. One special, one steak-only (mine), and one chicken. I love that all the sauces, utensils, and extras are right on the table. The broth is what makes pho, and theirs did not disappoint. The noodles took a little work, but everything came together perfectly. And the plate of sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño lets you doctor your soup just the way you like it. Lunch came to about $37 after tip (I covered the rangoons), which is a little steep, but considering I got a craft lemonade, a pop, a large soup, and plenty of leftovers, I think it was worth it. Honestly, the quality and quantity more than justify the price. I'm even starting to welcome colder weather just so I can enjoy this soup more often! I will absolutely be back.

Saigon Restaurant has been around forever. I always remember driving by it and seeing it, but had…read morenever been in to eat. A friend had their birthday there recently - and unfortunately I was not super impressed. The interior looks similar to the outside, like it's been there for a long time and because of that, is a little run down. The service was great, especially since we were a large group. They were keeping all the drink and food orders straight, which was impressive. I had an appetizer and chose the Pate So, which are little puff pastries filled with a protein and delicious sauce. I loved these. I also had the meatball soup, which was pretty flavorful, but almost clear, so it didn't seem to have very much seasoning in the broth. And then for my entree, I picked the Sesame Chicken. It was kind of dry chicken and also in gigantic chunks, so was pretty hard to eat without doing surgery at the table. Ugh. The one other plus (aside from the service and Pate So), is that they are pretty inexpensive. So Saigon Restaurant has some good options, but others are not as awesome. It's a little dated inside and out, but the service is excellent, and you won't spend an arm and a leg. For those reasons, I still recommend trying them out, because you may find something you do like and not overspend on it, in case you aren't a huge fan.
