Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambience: 5* Pro-tip: arrive early for breakfast and ask for a table outside to enjoy all the views Pro-tip: If you are a coffee drinker, try the cafe de olla. It is flavored with Mexican cinnamon and brown sugar. If too sweet, cut with regular coffee. This is the primary breakfast spot for Hacienda Del Mar. Enjoyed breakfast here most days. They have a buffet style setup, an egg station, and a taco station. The buffet had a good mix of American cuisine, continental offerings, and Mexican fare. Several things remained the same daily: eggs, bacon, pastries, fruit, yogurt etc. whereas the Mexican offerings would vary: pozole, mole, chilaquiles etc. Service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The taco lady was great. Very willing to make you a quesadilla or any manner of hand made tacos, even when you can't decide what you want. Great salsa options too.

Wonderful experience! We are staying close, and walked on the beach to go to dinner. Pepperoni pizza was delicious! Ambiance was relaxing and a wonderful walk back to see the stars. Service was wonderful, attentive, and very kind. Francisco took amazing care of us. Pinot Gri was perfect with the shrimp risotto.

This review is for Pomodoro. The dinner was huge! I forgot to take a picture of my fetuccini carbonara which was amazing! The dessert was my favorite dish of the entire dinner. I'll be coming back for that tres leches cake

Banana with ice-cream, caramel and chocolate brownie.

We love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Antonio was our server on our last day at the resort and he went above and beyond for us. He even brought us over a special meal and dessert that was made for us by the Chef at Pitahayas, our favorite restaurant at Hacienda Del Mar. One last anniversary celebration before our departure and it was beautiful and so special thanks to Antonio and the beautiful service staff at the resort. We're so grateful and can't wait to come back.

Horrible lunch experience with super slow service. We decided to grab a bite while waiting for our room to get ready. Everything took forever. It took 10 min to place an appetizer order, after 30 min we had to ask where our guacamole was (which shouldn't have taken 30 minutes to make) before someone brought it out, another 10 min to place our order for lunch, and then another 45-60 minutes to get our lunch. This is not good for tired hangry travelers. My husband ordered the pork dish and they didn't have his requested side (rice) so they just added roasted potatoes which were super bland instead of asking him his preference for a substitute. It was a huge portion and he liked the mole sauce. I ordered the catch of the day in garlic butter with a sweet potato purée. It was pretty good, but had way too much overcooked garlic on top. The restaurant is a much better option for their breakfast buffet. Great food selections and service is 100x better.

Great food with best service and overlooking the ocean view next to the Hacienda Plaza. What more can you ask for. Lots of selections for everyone's delight. Mexican food cuisine choices as well as fresh fruits and drinks, bottomless coffee and mimosas and even great green healthy juice! Kids have their selections of cereal, omelets, pancakes and French toast, and more. Their brunch Buffett is good here and at night also gets converted to a nice dinner area. All your servers are very nice, specially Rocio for us! All my food photo was devoured before I could snatch a pic. Great choice for breakfast and only one at Hacienda Del Mar.

One of the few, "affordable" restaurants in the Hacienda Del Mar resort. The views are outstanding. The food... ehhhh not so much. They only serve buffet style and at $32/person for breakfast, it's a little pricey for what you get. The food was bland and luke warm at best. We tried the dinner buffet to give it another chance and it was the same. The staff are so nice and the restaurant is clean.

For a buffet good... wish more fish options as a main course option. Yummy desserts! Litzy and Francisco are great!

Fantastic breakfast/brunch. Well worth the cost and drive. You get a ton of options and unlimited Bloody Marys and mimosas.

We took a taxi to this resort and while there asked how much this place was for a night in the hotel with all inclusive. They said it ranged from $350-500/night. Ouch! This place is a bit far from all of the action in Cabo San Lucas. Don't think I would want to stay so far away from all of the activities and fun, especially the arches. Anyway back to breakfast, we got to the counter and there were 4 hostesses running around in a confused manner with no organization whatsoever. There were people in front of us waiting to be put on the list, and after about 20 minutes we were finally seated. The server asked me what I wanted to drink? So I told him I wanted Mexican hot chocolate. He looked at me like I was speaking Chinese, so I pulled it up on Google and showed it to him. Strange that a Cabo native has never heard of Mexican hot chocolate, it is served in most places in the city restaurants of Cabo. Anyway we proceeded to the buffet and noticed a lot of the popular items weren't being replenished. I came back 4 different times to check and still the same empty plates remained. Food was decent, service was good, the price was only $20/per person. Do not think I would return as the places downtown were much better than this place just didn't have that large of a selection.

The only sit-down restaurant at the Hyatt Vacation Club at Sirena del Mar, Estrella serves all…read morethree meals of the day, each with a slightly different menu. Prices are comparable to other hotel restaurants, and the service and food quality was OK. We had spent the afternoon at the nearby beach until sunset, so ended up eating dinner a bit later than we got used to during our trip. Estrella has a large dining space, both inside and out. It was a bit humid to enjoy the outside, so chose to sit inside. There weren't many customers, so got identified quickly and seated. It was night, so the only views were of the lighted courtyard. Service was prompt throughout. The mango frozen margarita (MX$360) looked interesting so got one of those, along with a 1 L bottle of Fiji water (MX$170). I know I need to get used to paying for water for dine-in in Mexico, but only having Fiji available in the restaurant seems manipulative. The margarita was excellent. Our server recommended to us to get the special of the night: a three course meal with main entree of a trio of chicken, shrimp, and bacon-wrapped filet medallion (MX$741). I wanted to try seafood, so got the Tuna tower (MX$380). The first course (a really good spinach salad) and the tuna tower came out first. The tower was tasty...the chef had done a really good job of chopping all the ingredients into equal diced pieces; the fresh and delicious avocado put it over the top. The tuna quality was what it is...not great but didn't really mind. The main entree came a bit later, and my wife enjoyed it (we were both really hungry)... I got to sample some pieces. The shrimp was the best part, small size but perfectly grilled with just the right amount of salt to bring out the great shrimp flavor. The chicken was overcooked, resulting it being dry and a bit chewy. The beef was not great: it wasn't filet mignon, but another part of the loin. The bacon was an afterthought and didn't really impart any flavor, with the wooden toothpicks (to hold the bacon in place) still imbedded in the steak, which is just a mistake...a really good steak knife will cut right through it, and then you are eating wooden toothpick pieces imbedded in random steak bites. But the portions were good to be a filling meal, with a good mashed potato as base. We also got a thick chocolate mousse for dessert, which we enjoyed. Guests of the resort get a 'discount' card...ours was 10% off of food (not including alcohol) at resort restaurants. When I let our waiter know before our dessert came, our waiter strongly told me that 'specials' are not part of that, like I should have known that already. When the bill came, he pointedly showed me that he had correctly applied the discount to only tuna tower and water. He was right, but his attitude was wrong. We charged it to our room, gave a minimal tip, and left.
