Headed to Dillion Beach? PERFECT stop just a few miles away. Tons of sandwiches to choose from, or build your own. Lots told favorites and some originals. Friendly and helpful staff. My Ruben was 10/10, my friend said his burger was 8/10! Only waited about 5 min for our food, plus dog friendly patio!

Their sandwich menu stands out when you first walk in, so I immediately saw that they had a veggie sandwich and it could be made vegan by leaving off the cheese (I asked if they had vegan cheese and they said no) and leaving off the mayo, so that's what I ordered, and it was very tasty and filling. Looking at their website now it says they have a veggie burger, but while I was there waiting for the sandwich, I saw their burger menu on the wall on the back, and I read that thoroughly and didn't see a veggie burger offering. Maybe I missed it, but from what I remember, they didn't offer a veggie burger. Hence the 3-star rating.

Amazing sandwiches. The staff is amazing and did a great job. Cute little place to stop for lunch. I highly recommend this location. Support local businesses. Family friendly and dog friendly too.

Got the steak breakfast bagel. Steak and bagel were top tier. So much yum. Perfection. And a cheese skirt to boot! Took a few minutes but they're a 2 person operation and many customers came in right after us. Wife got the chicken ciabatta which was also delicious but heads up it's quite wet so scoop it up and gobble it asap!

Do not sleep on this deli! We had the best sandwiches and the service is top notch! Super clean and great options! They have so much to choose from and some great baked goods too. Have lunch then head to Dillon beach or head down to bodega! They have breakfast items too.

Here's a peek of the menu. Im sure everything on it is fabulous!

OMG!! Talk about selection and customer service. and then we got our food. Hands down supreme! Would've taken a picture of my Carnitas sandwich but I couldn't stop eating this deliciousness. My husband got the Cordon Blue sandwich and he said the same thing. Thank you guys so much for a wonderful meal!

The food here is great! The owners are awesome! Plenty of seating. Veggie sandwiches on different days. One day with avocado another with sprouts.

Far too much sauerkraut on this COLD Reuben sammy. Bummed

I've really been working hard at writing any negative reviews, it is unfortunate that this was where we stopped to eat in Tomales. I ordered a Reuben sandwich, my lunch partner ordered the tri-tip sandwich. The meat on the Reuben was stiff, yet slimy and had a really bad texture and taste. I didn't bother trying to rectify this because the place was packed, and the woman at the register seemed irritated to be working. Also, the tri tip meat that I tasted was very dry. I'll remember to pack snacks on my next excursion, because we planned to dine at William Tells but much to our surprise it was out of business.

Very yummy little spot! Picked up lunch on our way to Dillion Beach and was not disappointed. There were plenty of people inside and took 35 minutes for 3 sandwiches but boy were they good. The price is extremely reasonable and the quality was amazing. I will be going back when I can!

My 3 sister inlaws were here visiting the past few days. Their folks and them spent many camping adventures at Dillons Beach as children. We drove over for a bit of a walk down memory lane. After roaming the beach for a couple hours, we headed back home to Napa. As we approached Tomales we saw this cute little deli and decided to get a bite to eat. Boy oh boy I'm glad we did! The food was so good. We entered and a nice lady took our orders. There were 6 of us, so it took a while, but she handled it like a pro. The menu is quite extensive with many sandwich and salad choices. I'm going to focus on my choice.. I had the French Dip ( Get This!) It was served on the most delicious Sour Dough French Bread with carmelized onions and gooey melted Swiss cheese. Tha Au Jue was so rich and piping hot. The ladies behind the counter are Hispanic and I found the way they prepared the meat to be cultural. It was chopped up as if it were going into a taco. Carne Asada style so to speak. Very tender and juicy. The others had the Ruben, a Tuna Melt that was off the hook, a Pear Salad served with Raspberry/Balsamic dressing and a Caeser Salad. All amazing! There is a relatively small indoor dining area and we chose to eat there, but there is also a small covered area for dining Al Fresco if you desire. The prices are quite reasonable too. I only took 1 photo of what used to be the Tomales Bank. Go check this little gem out if you're in the area.

All food local for Point Reyes: Marin French Cheese, Heidrun Mearery, Hog Island Oysters, and the topper, Vilma's Torta from Tomales Deli.

I found it on the map and thought "huh this might be cute to stop by and try some cider". Showed up on a Saturday and Jan and her husband immediately came out to talk to us, tell us about the cider, and show us around their place. The cider was DELICIOUS by the way. We bought some and brought it back to our friends and they all agreed it's some of the best hard cider we've had. I wish they sold it at my local bodega in here sf!! Their home and land is truly so cute and charming. Rolling hills with 300+ trees, juicy apples of all sorts. I told Jan I was going to make and apple pie and she directed me to the best trees for those. They let us wander and do whatever we wanted and it was just so awesome and picturesque and serene. Jan also mentioned baby Scottish Highlander cows in their pasture nearby that we could go pet and play with!!!! Unfortunately those cows were busy but we stopped the the pasture right out front and got soooo close to some stunning and adorable cows. Literally the perfect visit. She gave us some recs for lunch and we had an awesome afternoon in Tomales. Need to visit again... could see this being the loveliest play to stay for a weekend getaway. When we arrived, Jan was in the middle of making a homemade apple pie and other yummy things for her guests because she provided them fresh pastries and breakfast. Gosh... dreamy.

It was right around the corner so I decided to take a chance and stop by. I pulled up to the barn and was greeted with suspicious looks by two middle aged folks working a hand cider press. It turns out that these are the loving parents of Applegarden Farms Hardcider. They hand blend and press 20 different apple varieties for their wonderful brew. After explaining my situation they were happy to sell me a few bottles and off I went to the Marshall Store for oysters to go with my new aquisition. If you like hardcider, don't miss this stuff, it's local and luscious.

First of all, Palace Market has some of the most entertaining one-star reviews I've ever seen from…read moreany grocery store. Nearly all of them are complaints about COVID protocol being enforced back in 2020. Three of them are from the same one person. One of the non-COVID related complaints was about the fact that the rotisserie chicken costs more than it does at Costco. As a former Costco employee who actually was "the rotisserie chicken girl," I found this hilarious. Everyone (apparently not everyone) knows that Costco chickens are sold below cost, as a doorbuster. They are intentionally placed in the back of the store, in a location which forces the consumer to walk past all of the promotional items on their way to and fro. You help subsidize the low cost with your annual membership fee. Furthermore, let's just say that if you knew everything that I know about rotisserie chickens, you would probably stop buying them from the store altogether, and invest in your own rotisserie chicken oven kit. These $28 chickens are meant for doctors/rich people who want an organic, free-range, non-injected local chicken that was cooked in an exceptionally clean oven, all by itself, with expensive spices and seasonings-- but don't have the time or expertise to cook them themselves. There are also some added fees for profit and the fair treatment of workers. If you want a Costco chicken, like, go to Costco. Lmao. That being said, yes, a lot of the items in this store are what I would refer to as "prohibitively expensive." Never in my life would I pay $60 for one pound of coffee. But, lucky for me, they also carry $10 coffee bags, which I can afford. Never in my life would I pay $30 for one block of cheese-- but they also carry $7 blocks of cheese. At some point, you have to realize, you get what you pay for. Palace Market is primarily geared towards the local clientele (insanely rich people) and tourists. Generally speaking, this is reflected in the cleanliness, availability of staff to help you (versus a skeleton staff who suffers if one person calls in sick), high-quality local products, great merchandising, great lighting, and community values. While the coffee and hot deli items are a lot pricier than they would be in, for example, Sacramento-- they also taste better. This past weekend, after walking around the farmer's market in the sun, I became desperately hungry enough to pay $14 for one of their hot Cubano sandwiches, and it was amazing. After taking my first bite, I literally said, "Oh my God, that's one of the best sandwich bites I've ever had in my life." Yes, shopping here is a splurge. You get what you pay for. If you're privileged enough to be able to afford to shop at Palace Market, you'll typically get exceptionally high-quality products with exceptional service. For the rest of us peasants, they have enough sales and po'boy items for us to just dip in for a taste.
