Do not buy from Tom Wood Powersports. I purchased a 2022 Harley Davidson Nightster from them last October with only 2000 miles on it. The bike was non-functional when I arrived to pick it up, so they installed a fresh battery and assured me it was good to go. I drove off the lot and immediately experienced severe electrical issues. Throughout that first day, the bike would lose all power at highway speeds and refuse to start repeatedly.
When I brought it back, they claimed they don't have a certified Harley technician and would need to send it to the Harley dealership. Then nothing happened. Days later, they told me they were hiring a Harley tech who would start that Tuesday and work on my bike immediately. Another week passed with zero contact and no work done. Eventually, weeks had gone by with my broken motorcycle untouched--despite the thousands of dollars I'd spent.
They finally sent it to the Harley dealership. Weeks later, they called saying it was fixed. I picked it up, drove off the lot, and experienced the exact same electrical failures. I returned it again and didn't get it back until January--far too cold to properly test the repairs. When I picked it up, I told the technician I was worried: it's too cold to ride and confirm the fix, so what happens if it fails again once riding season starts? He assured me they would fix it.
Well, here we are in June with riding season in full swing. Yesterday my bike started fine and got me to the office, then wouldn't start when I went to leave--despite a fully charged battery. I called Tom Wood Powersports to get this resolved, exactly as they promised. Instead of honoring that commitment, they told me they won't speak to me anymore, that I need to have a lawyer contact their lawyer, and that it's not their problem because it happened a long time ago and they can't prove it's the same issue.
So to recap: they sold me a low-mileage bike that never worked right, took months to "fix" it while it sat untouched, returned it still broken--twice--and then refused all accountability the moment I tried to hold them to their own promise.
