I stopped here to fuel the Jeep, the fuel islands were clean and the pumps were in good working condition and they seem to be well maintained. The Premium 93 octane was $3.99 a gallon so that's super competitive these days. I didn't go inside since I only needed gas and the pump gave me my receipt - I guess some have had much different experiences and in my opinion all reviews are a snapshot of a particular visit but most of the negative reviews seem pretty petty but I'm sure it was devastating if they didn't have a bottle of pop or cup of coffee or if a pastry was stale mid-afternoon. This store always has the cheapest gas price in the Keys. This is always my fill up stop when traveling through the keys. The station is clean and easily accessible from the north or south bound side of US 1. The store is well lit and always clean. The staff member that was working was nice and fast to get you in and out. This only complaints I have is when I visited they did not have any Pepsi. So I opted to get a fountain Coke and that was out also. read more

this is the place to stop for great gas prices and a real subway. the ladies were friendly and the prices were right, even in the keys. I recommend this location as a last stop when you are coming back towards the turnpike. their petrol prices are 3 - 5 cent a gallon less than further up the causeway. read more

If you are towing a boat, forget about it. This Tom Thumb is small, in the middle of highway where the North & South are separated and is on a huge artificial hill. There is no way you are turning a trailer around, so go to the next gas station. And you can only buy $50 at a time or you have to bring your card inside. The convenient store isn't that good either. It is really this simple, if the milk is past date, pull it from the shelf. It should be your loss, not mine. No glass bottled coke either. :( read more

This is the cleanest Tom Thumb in the keys! I also love that they have a subway store inside, but that will be on a seperate review. The ladies that work there are always pleasent! Well, maybe that's not the right word... they have a good sense of humor and joke around with each. Squeeze the handle and watch the pump charge you for gas you are not receiving. I told the manager and she agreed that it should not be charging, its like a delay but you are still being charged! The manager told the owners but they refuse to listen to her. The manager also put life locks on all the pumps to keep people from tampering with the credit card machine, the owner had her remove all locks. So get gas but when you want to top the vehicle off watch as you slightly squeeze the handle and no gas, rest assure you are still being charged! read more

The ice machine was broke for weeks, yet they sold half bags of ice dripping wet for weeks. You tell them to notify the manager and nothing happens. No sign no courtesy. The propane case had no full tanks for three days, again no sign, no courtesy. You have to wait in line inside to find out if they have the products you need and they can't seem to muster the courtesy to put a sign to inform their customers. It's been over a year since Irma and they can't seem to get around to repair their storm damaged sign. Pass this by and get your gas and ice somewhere else. They won't care until they have to close their doors. read more

There aren't many gas stations along the Overseas Highway, so we grabbed this one. $1.87 for gas -- holler! For some reason, my credit card would not work outside, so I had to go inside to enable pumping. There are the usual snack items, etc., in the store. There are plenty of pumps. One big benefit of this Tom Thumb is it's a crossover between the divided north and southbound segments of the Overseas Highway. read more

Every time I go there I have a bad experience. Most of the cashiers are rude, incompetent, and slow. They rather socialize than take care of their customers. I would avoid. The Circle K across the highway has 3 times the volume and yet it is much more friendlier and quicker. read more

First of all I want to start by giving this place a zero star review even though I had to put one star. My husband is a business owner and we are residence in the Florida Keys and he always stops at this Tom thumb. My husband stopped at this Tom thumb to get something to drink because he works landscaping and he was hot and went to pay for it and the manager along with the other two employees refuse to give him change for the drink he purchased and started cussing and acting rude and calling him names (It's all on camera) unless they deleted it which is illegal. They said to him that he didn't spend enough money to get the change back, that he needed to spend more money to get the amount they wanted to give him back. They kept arguing and continued calling him a "pussy n*gga and several slurs and curse words all in front of customers. This was a MANAGER that treated him this way along with the employees. My husband wants to get a lawyer and he wants that tape that recorded the way he was dealt with and we want the owner to contact us IMMEDIATELY. This is highly disrespectful and not the way you treat hard working keys residents who come in every day to spend money. We want the owner to contact us immediately. read more

I stopped in this morning to get one of those great Cuban Colada coffees as I was driving down to Key West. Was told by the cashier that they had not been trained how to use the machine. Since I know how to make them, I offered to walk the cashier through the process. But then they noticed it full of roaches and apparently 3 different species! Supposedly, the manager was notified of this over 3 months ago so who knows how long they have been serving unhealthy coffee out of this machine. I would expect this up in Miami where there are zero health standards, but not down here in the Keys. The drinks in the cooler appeared warm, so I'm unsure if they had just stocked the cooler drinks, or the cooler needs service. All of this occurring while the fountain drink machine had no ice!!! So, i guess I was not supposed to buy anything to drink from there today. Typically, Tom Thumb stores are great, except in Miami-Dade County where English is optional. I hope I can get a fresh, roach free colada at the next Tom Thumb at mile marker 88. read more

The workers are great, the manager is great.... the district manager is a real un-professional, non-management, rude human... cannot use the words I would like to on here... I actually heard him tell a CUSTOMER to shut his mouth.... wow... all the customer did was complain as the NEW soda machine was out of Coke products... lost the customers business am sure and mine!! Im a local down here in The Keys born and raised. Out of all the gas stations for us this is the best one by far! All the women working there are amazing and kind. The greet their local costumers every morning with a smile and knowledge us each with small chat and that starts our day off great! Im sorry if your not a local and your big boat that you more than likely cant drive cant fit in here to get gas as easily as it you feel it should maybe you should try filling up on the water with all the other locals and seasoned boaters who know how to maneuver their boats correctly. There can be no way to complain coming here to get gas or a quick snack. Just remember your not in Miami any more and we are kind and easy going down here as are the women that work here!
