    Engine cover broken during the repair

    The only reason I returned to this dealership is because I wanted them to fix what was not working properly after the repair. They replaced my radiator, left side transmission mount and right side engine mount in the summer of 2023. Once that repair was completed I started hearing a clicking sound that would happen every 10 seconds. ( see review) After going to back 2 or 3 times they finally determined that is was the torque converter inside the transmission ( which I'm still puzzled about that due to brand new transmission assembly was installed in 2022) , I made an appointment 1-2 months in advance for June 1 2024. I dropped my car off and got a loaner. 1 month later I hadn't heard anything from the dealer ship so I went up there to see the status of my car on one month later on a Friday. While I waiting in the lobby I get an alert that a claim was submitted on my insurance. So my car sat for 1 full month before a claim was initiated. I'm not sure the time frame but about two weeks after my car had already been there for a month I received a call saying that I had a broken AC hose. I've never had any ac issues and all I've a sudden my ac line had to be ordered and replaced. When I wash my car, I also clean my engine compartment and it's always clean. There's a Refrigerant recovery and an Evacuate & Recharge line item that removes the refrigerant and replaces it. You can see that it was busted during the repair and spewed all over my engine bay. (See pictures) Upon picking my vehicle up two months after I dropped it off on June 1, I immediately heard weird hissing and crunching sound that I didn't hear prior to dropping it off and I immediately alerted the Ron the manager about the problem. Now there this clicking sound that happens when the car is being shifted into park, drive, and during turns and braking and a hissing sound during acceleration! I spoke with the new shop manager and set an another appointment. After 4 1/2 hours of waiting they come out stating that they need more time to pull apart my dash out and wanted to file another claim on my insurance! I said no because it had something to do with the torque converter installation or ac hose. Spear then says that the transmission technician wasn't in and I'd have to comeback. If he wasn't there I would've never wasted 5 hours of my life waiting. I wanted the transmission technician to see what the problem was due to it happing during shifting and acceleration. During the repair the ac line , engine cover , and rear air duct hose were damaged. While I was there I had to listen to workers say "they'll be glad when Ron enforces that they do not service cars older than 10 years old or with more than 100,000 miles. This conversation went on for a few minutes while I stood there. They take their cars to other shops and then come here and blame us!" Meanwhile my car is 9 years old. That was totally unprofessional but I thought it was hilarious because I will never spend a cent here again. I'm sure he wouldn't say that if white Betty or Bob were getting repairs. This place with charge you 2-3x for the part and their labor rate is $250/hr. If I can find the oem part for 700.00, I know they get better prices as a dealership. On the invoice 1 part was 700.00 on a GM site and Tom Peacock were upcharging the insurance company over $1400.00 for the part and that didn't include labor. I asked Spear who determines the up-charge prices on part and he implied that it was a matrix system. They charged my insurance company $5387.41 for a torque converter and ac hose installation . I found a new oem torque converter for $377.00 and $132.00 for the gm ac hose. The rest of the amount is labor. My car was driven 83 miles while at the dealership from June 1st through August and my gas tank was full up. When I picked my car up in August my tank was below 1/4. I insisted that they put my gas where it was when I dropped it off and Ron Samples filled it up with cheap 87 octane gas, my car is twin turbo charged and I definitely could tell that is was 87 octane based on the car's performance. When they take your car on test drive, they go about two or three blocks and turn around and come back, putting over 80 miles on my car tells me that someone was joyriding in my car. My vogue tires were really dirty. I always wash my car and fill the tank before any service. $5387.41 & 4788.70 are the totals of the last 2 claims that they charged my insurance @ Tom Peacock. This place is a scam and they don't care. I'm reporting this to the BBB next.

I am naturally skeptical of any used car dealership even more so one that has so many high ranking reviews. I didn't initially believe it and thought they were fake. Boy was I wrong! Joad (Sales Manager) & Zuri (Sales Agent) do business the old school way. They stand behind their product, no B.S. Bait & Switch, and take care of their customers to no end! They offer a 7-day warranty on there vehicles and dont just sell you junk that you have to be worried about breaking down the minute you roll off the lot. They sold me a solid business van for my fleet, that had low miles and it was the cheapest priced vehicle online in the entire country. They are in business for the long haul and understand the importance of reputation. They treat people with the upmost respect regardless of price on car, like some other dealerships. Motors on Wheels went above and beyond for me to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the esthetics and mechanical integrity of my vehicle, which gave me peace of mind! Never experienced this level of customer service and professionalism from any dealership, not even the big manufacturer dealerships. They earned my business for life. I will be purchasing all of my future business vehicles from them!

Since I've moved back to the Heights downtown area, I decided to give them another shot. So close to five stars! I utilized the valet service where they pick up my vehicle, do the oil change, they did a great job as well change the air filter, wipers, etc. that was a 5 star experience! That was an easy five star review for that service. It did an amazing job. I was out of town for three days so they picked up my vehicle. Did all the test and maintenance and everything like that and I come back on my vehicles at my valet. That was super convenient and very nice. I will always utilize that service. However, there was a bit of a scheduling issue. They forgot to pick it up Monday so I had to give him a call, but they got it taken care of that wasn't a big deal. I just kind of falls back to fundamentals if you have an appointment scheduled and sit pick the car up that way there's no confusion and I would have to call to make it happen. They brought the vehicle back and there was like oil stains on the front fender area. Typically most oil change companies cover that that way when you get the car back, it's not dirty. The problem is I just gotta wash at Mister car wash so I had to go take a bath and get it washed again. This is why I give them four stars instead of five. Other than that, it was a great experience. Customer service is great. The convenience of the valet service to pick up and drop off back at my valet. I can't tell you that right there is top-notch service. I'll give them a try again and probably change this to a five star because overall the experience was great.

    I recently purchased a 2021 Ford F-150 Lariat from Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston. The vehicle was…read moreadvertised online as "Ford Blue Certified," which includes inspection and warranty coverage. After the purchase, I was not provided any certification paperwork or warranty details. Shortly after, I was informed the truck had a coolant issue that could require a full engine replacement. When I returned to the dealership, I had to push multiple times and show proof of the listing before they acknowledged the certification. Even then, there was a delay in providing proper documentation, which raised concerns about whether the certification had actually been completed correctly. During the financing process, I was presented with paperwork reflecting a much higher total amount than expected (around $50k vs. approximately $39k discussed), which I had to question before proceeding. I was also presented with additional add-ons that I had to decline and have removed. In addition, the truck was not provided with a full tank of gas at delivery, and despite the situation, I was not offered any form of compensation for the inconvenience. Due to the condition of the vehicle, the lack of transparency, and the overall experience, I chose to return the truck. I recommend that anyone shopping here verify certification directly with Ford, carefully review all paperwork before signing, and request all documentation upfront. Do not rely solely on how the vehicle is advertised online.

My insurance took a while to send the supplement over to JJ, but once JJ Auto Body received it, they got started right away, which I really appreciate. I just wanted to keep you all informed on what's going on. JJ Auto Body has continued to impress me throughout this entire process. I've never dealt with a body shop before, so this is my first experience, and I have to say...the consistent communication and updates have been phenomenal. You all know how it is being without your car, especially in Houston...it really feels like you've lost a part of your daily life. So staying updated on the progress has been very comforting.
