Over a week ago I scheduled an appt for a recall to my Ford. This dealership offered me mobile service for my home. Tech was to arrive around 8am, but will call with time. After not hearing anything, I called this dealership at 1030am. Spoke with "Ethan" who said he would call back in two minutes. Well 30 minutes go by with no call. I call again, he said there is a problem. He said there are two people in their system with the same name. I asked "there is two by name in the same town, with mobile service scheduled on the same day any time?" He said that is what they are trying to figure out. I asked " it takes three hours to figure it out? Why did no one call me?" No response. Click. First and last time using them. bought a Ford an hour away 6 days ago. today I noticed an obvious defect in a tire sidewall. I took the car here to the local Ford service. they put my full-sized spare on and but my wheel and bad tire in the bed of my truck. they said they would call the tire manufacturer and get back to me in a few days. they called me back same day and said the tire manufacturer would take 4-6 weeks to replace the tire. I argued that I bought a Ford and had no dealings wirh the tire manufacturer. they suggested I go to the dealership an hour away where I bought the car. Extremely poor customer service. The point of contact, Danny, was pleasant by the fact that the dealership wasn't willing to take care of this warranty issue in a time frame that makes sense just blows my mind. I would never go back there or recommend anyone going there! Carlos Reyes was worst salesmen and swindler I've ever had the misfortune of meeting and dealing with! First I found a car and gave him 200.00 just so he can take it off the lot. So we get a check for the asking price. Coming back I asked for my 200.00 deposit back for keeping the car off the lot! Well Carlos Reyes says that he needs 900.00 more dollars besides the check for the asking price! Now I'm asking where did the 900.00 come from? Now no one seems to know where the misunderstanding came from! REALLY CARLOS REYES??? Then they wanted to change banks and I wasn't doing that! So I had to my check back to the credit union and start the whole process all over again. I just didn't have a good feeling about anything and my husband said let's just do it. So against my better judgement I did! After literally running around all day Carlos Reyes gives me the key and it's broken and there's no spare! To be absolutely honest we have purchased, a intrepid, wrangle, ram and a endeavor from masano. I have also taken my father-in-law and a close friend there to purchase a vehicle. I did not like the way I was treated during this potential purchase. My concerns for my daughters college cost were insulted. I was told she could simply take out a loan. When I compared the numbers, I calculated that the cost for the vehicle was to be around $28000 on a $20000ish vehicle, and I was trading in $6000. When I brought up this concern I was told to compare it to a 30 year mortgage. I found those numbers and comparison to be ridiculous. When I stopped in I specifically stated that I wanted to stay around $250 a month. I was then asked what I liked, I did point out the Cherokee, but if that didn't fit into the budget then I should have been advised. I did explain that I had a trade in and that I thought the value was going to be around $5000. They offered $6000. I was completely honest with them and the first offer they gave me was $400. When I said no way, I was then given an offer of $300. How? Finally, I said I would take it, THAT NIGHT, for $270, I was told I had to give another $1200. They called me after closing to offer the $270 a month. Unbelievable. I took my business to Otten. We purchased a New Cruze,$21000 sticker price, $3000 off for rebates, and a teacher discount. If I were able to give a rating of zero stars I would. I am sitting at pep boys now get a new battery because my car was dead this morning. I had to get a jump and when we went to hook up the jumper cables to the battery, the terminals were so corroded that we could barely get a connection. This surprised me because I just paid to have them cleaned a month ago at Masano during the inspection process. This place is an absolute rip-off. I've gone here when a shady mechanic installed my alternator and melted my wires to my alternator which caused an ongoing spark in my car, anyways I came here and they had my car up and running. Redid my wiring and had a brand new alternator installed in January-Feb, I've had no problems since then and I've gotten an oil change as well. The pricing was decent as well too. I had the pleasure of purchasing my new (used) car here almost a month ago. My husband reached out to the dealership directly when he found 2 of my dream cars online. Both were the same year/model, but slightly different features. When he contacted the dealership via email, we were immediately connected with a rep from the Auto Group. He called us right away to say hello. He was personable, accommodating. Heck! When the first car I wanted was sold, he immediately called my husband to let us know AND followed up via email. The rep put us in touch with Cheryl shortly thereafter. She was so easy to work with! The car I wanted wasn't on her lot, so she drove to get it. We made an appointment with her and she was there, ready to go! Immediately we took the test drive and gave the car a once over. Cheryl left us alone as we inspected every square inch of the car - under the hood, under the car itself. We noticed a few things on the car and she had them fixed immediately! How would I describe the process? The complete opposite of sales-y. We negotiated, but it was never awful or ugly. It was never tense or what you envision your worst nightmare to be at a dealership. Even dealing with Sean, the business manager, was a dream. They provided lunch for everyone, too! What a great experience. Came here to look at three 2015 model Mazda3's. Called ahead to verify they were still available. When we got there, they didn't tell us it was not available until after they had sat us in a couple of 2016 models for no reason. The staff were friendly overall but the manager we spoke to said the car had just sold this morning...we called at noon. It's a small dealership, they should know what's going on in their own dealership. I don't want to say it was bait & switch because they did have other models very similar and similarly priced but it just felt like a very backwards process. At the end of the day, they had their 2015 models listed lower than anyone else, to the point that it was already a really good deal. We tried to haggle a little bit but they absolutely wouldn't budge, not even $1. That seemed strange. But whatever, my friend had to buy a car that day and the list price was already far below msrp. I am so incredibly disgusted with the service and experience my parents just had with Tom Masano. They went there in search for a new car and when they purchased their vehicle, they were promised that the Lincoln would have 4 new tires, would be inspected, and detailed. My parents mentioned several times they would not need the car for a few days before they left for their vacation. Much to their surprise the car was done early. They drove their newly purchased car to the airport and went on vacation (car driven once) When they landed a week later, they drove approximately 1 hour before their "new" tire shredded on the highway. This left them stranded on a dangerous shoulder until roadside to arrive. After paying $300 for a new tire (which they weren't reimbursed for) The tire technician confirmed that all 4 tires were original. And the donut was 30 lbs low on air. So basically the price they paid for the car which included new tires was a complete gauge job. The car was dropped off to be looked at because when Masano was asked why the turn signals weren't working...we were told, "oh that's just how those signals work." WRONG. They decided to look over the car and discovered yes the turn signals were broken and parts needed to be ordered. Surprise, maybe instead of condescending and talking down to someone who someone you think doesn't know what they are talking about.. You do your job and check the car. They have the car back. Turn signals fixed, the steering issue which came up out of nowhere (ofcourse) also allegedly fixed but ABSOLUTElY no attempt to rectify the fact that the tires are old, they already spent $300 on a new tire, and the price they paid for this car was on the assumption that the work claimed to be done on the car was. I will be sure to tell everyone about the sub par customer experience, lack of attention to detail, and complete inability to stand by their products. Really not a good experience. I have a car under warranty and took it to them for an oil change. I told the service advisor that something felt wrong with the steering and the clutch (it's a manual) was sticking to the floor, which is obviously very problematic. They did not investigate the clutch and told me the brakes needed to be machined for $200. I called another mechanic who had seen the car and they said the brakes needing to be machined was ridiculous, and that for under $100 I could just get new brakes altogether. I denied the "machining brakes" and got the car back. A few months later and the clutch goes to the floor and will not go into gear. The master cylinder was leaking (and had been doing so for a long time), so they had to replace the transmission. A bearing was worn (my complaint earlier which was also misdiagnosed or not looked into thoroughly) and was causing suspension components to rub against the engine, meaning they needed to replace the suspension, brakes, AND engine. I was without a car for a month and received no loaner vehicle. This dealership did not even look into let alone diagnose these issues correctly. I showed them the multiple pages of work (done by another Ford dealership) and asked how they could not find a leaky master cylinder and also asked why they did not check the suspension after I had made specific complaints to them about those exact items. Even the person I spoke to was surprised, he said to me, "Wow that's a lot of work they had to do." This advisor, who was reasonably friendly, talked to the service manager who could not care less. There was no apology, no reimbursement, nothing. They handed me a card with a phone number on it and told me to call Ford about the issues (even though their failure to look into the issues made everything worse and lead to a complete breakdown of the car). They didn't even go through the trouble of getting me a specific phone number, I searched for the number and it was the generic roadside service number for Ford. Do not buy your car here and do NOT take it in for service, because their service department is about as useless as they come. read more

I took a day off to see if I could trade in my wife's car for a newer model and keep payments the same. Masano helped us do exactly that. Low pressure, able to answer all questions. It was the drive thru shopping experience for used car sales. Quick and easy. We got a great trade-in and that allowed us to pull of the deal. Be sure to inspect closely for previous body damage. Our car did have previous body work done that is not showing on carfax. I noticed the paint work during my own inspection, overall it looked great...plus its a "used" car. Drove great! I wouldn't hesitate to go back, but I may give the white glove test next time. read more

Found a new car online via cars.com, sent an online inquiry (to Tom masano Ford Lincoln) which was answered promptly and courteously. They were willing to negotiate and be flexible, and all said and done I ended up driving the 70 or so miles to the dealership a week later to pick up my brand new car. Pre-Sales person was excellent. This is the least competent dealership I've ever been to. I have waited a long time to post this review with the hopes that my issues would be properly addressed and today was the last straw. When I went to pick my car up my key fob wasnt working. I then noticed my car was unlocked. It had been unlocked the entire weekend so that my alarm wouldn't go off when I picked it up and the person that parked it there didnt even have the decency to make a note that my fob wasnt working so I was questioned when I went back in and told them it wasn't working. Before this incident I "received" services but upon checking the services weren't performed. The employees ignored requests for management's contact information multiple times. When you call and ask to speak with someone they are either unavailable, not working that day, or you are transferred to a different person than the one you asked for. They do not call back. The shuttle service is manned by elderly gentlemen which would be fine if they didn't attempt to merge into other vehicles. The younger gentleman they had driving the shuttle turned us into oncoming traffic. While I was waiting today for them to inspect my key to make sure I wasn't pulling a fast one on them I over heard an older gentleman say he had an issue where he requested his tires be rotated and when he went to pick it up they weren't rotated so that leads me to believe that they take advantage of the elderly as well as women. Do not accept the free services they offer you to keep you quiet. The quality of service does not improve and actually gets appalling worse when you arent paying for the service. John Kujawski is the person that ignored 3 requests for his managers information and doesn't reply to emails promptly if ever (time frames range from a few hours to over a month), Stacy is the person I had to call multiple times to talk with her just to be told that they were closing soon and there was nothing she could do, Larry Epler is the mechanic that signed off on services that weren't performed (falsifying documents), Steve Karr is the manager that I had to hunt down the contact information for and contact about his staff because they were unwilling to do give me the information themselves. Spread the word and save yourself the aggravation and don't take your car to this sorry excuse for a service center. I wish I could give them negative stars, but 1 star is the lowest I could rate them. read more

Buyer Beware of Open Recalls and Lending information at this dealer! I just purchased a new 2017 vehicle from Tom Masano and they contacted me to come back to them to repair an open recall and they are 2 hrs away from where I live. I just had a new baby and this is a huge logistical issue with working too now. Plus driving the new vehicle down there would be additional wear and tear on the truck. I did some further research as it did not make sense to me as to why I was being told I had to bring in the vehicle to their dealership ONLY and I discovered that Tom Masano Ford is in violation of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act enforced by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) by selling a vehicle and releasing it with open recalls. This is very dangerous to the consumer. The dealership can be subject to fines by the NHTSA for selling vehicles without properly fixing recalls, like this one that was released on April 1st prior to when we bought the vehicle (purchased in July). Our family has been at risk for weeks. It also sounds like they are trying to cover it up by not "marking the vehicle as sold in Ford's inventory" until this problem has been corrected- which they stated will prevent me from getting it serviced locally. I am assuming they haven't marked it out of inventory yet because they don't get in trouble legally or with Ford- as I am sure this is not one of their best practices and they would be alarmed to know this is occurring. I finally called a local dealer myself to properly have the issue taken care of, but they delayed my ability to fix the situation with bad information for over a week. Further, the loan that was offered by Tom Masano was given/disclosed to be at the wrong interest rate, which was close to being a violation of the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) if Ford did not catch the error and notify me last week (prior to within 2 months of the loan origination). Ironically we bought this truck so it would be safer for our 2 month old daughter to travel around in and now it is not safer with this recall looming. Just be very careful of what you are buying from them! read more

Amazingly Poor Service. A FRAUDULANT group here in Reading PA. I've seen much better reviews at the Rte. 61 location. Where there is smoke, there is fire, and this company has burned too many people. My Wife found a vehicle at the Reading location. We have a family of 5 and asked for DVD to be installed (The Salesman stated its a common practice when people buy through them) So we stated we would love to do so. The salesman, Randy, then called after we agreed to purchase, and let us know that this cannot be done, that this year of the vehicle is the only year not capable. My wife then called Lincoln to see if they can install it, and they stated the dealership absolutely can do this. When they finally agreed to do the install, they said we'd have a rental ready. When we got there, we left our 3rd row SUV to be worked on, they gave us a Nissan Hatchback for 5 people including 2 car seats. Very uncomfortable and inconvenient. After this poor service we were simply happy to be done dealing with Randy and Jeff (Finance). After 30 days, we had not received our payment book from the bank. My wife calls the bank, and they state we do not have a loan through them. Confused, we called the dealership, and spoke to Jeff. The issue here was they had not submitted everything correctly and no loan was active. It had now been over 30 days, and we titled the car paying the fee's. After 12 inquiries and a horrible experience, we decided to return the car. The only issue here was the day we traded in our previous car, they had already sold it to a family, and now we were without a car. Not only this, our down payment of $2,000 was not returned. We refused to do business with them after seeing the credit inquiries, and even reached out to the bank and asked to be contacted if they try to run our credit again. The bank called and Tom Masano fruadulantly tried to approve a loan in our name, just hours after we had recorded a phone call advising them to never run our credit. All in all, a horrible experience, and a financial nightmare of a staff to work with. read more

I have heard other negative reviews from friends and family before, but we decided to give them a chance. I was told that the finance manager would be able to work out the price per month that I was looking for after they already ran my credit with $700 down. When they came back, they said they wanted $5000 down instead, so now I have a credit inquiry on my credit score for no reason. Very manipulative, and a big waste of time. I stressed that I didn't want my credit run if they were not going to be able to make it work at what I was looking for. I will make sure that no one I know will ever do business here. read more

Don't waste your time! First time in my life I went to a dealership and they didn't want to make a sale. I contacted them on the internet about a vehicle, they claimed they sent me a sale price back ( I never received it). When I asked Richard Nolt to resend it, he said it was the same price as the website. The very next morning the price on the vehicle dropped $450, I emailed again and told Richard if he would have told me I would have come out that morning to look at the car. This was Saturday I told Richard to schedule me a test drive for Monday, he said he couldn't someone else was coming at 9am to look at it. I showed up at 10am the vehicle was still sitting in front of the showroom and they wouldn't let me test drive. Well it's been a week they are still sitting on the car and I got mine from a great dealership. I won't even mention they didn't even try to run my credit after I told them there were a couple of vehicles I was interested in, but it would come down to the numbers. read more

So far a total waste of my time. I saw a SUV on their website that I liked. However, it only had photos of the exterior and not the interior. Which is odd, why would you not post photos of a vehicle you are trying to sell. I wasn't sure if it had all the features that I wanted. So, before I drove 60 minutes to take a look I asked them if it had the features I was looking for. They told me they would get back to me soon. An hour or so later I get an email asking if I wanted to set up an appointment to see the car. Did not answer any questions that I had posed to them earlier. They don't take time to help you with any questions you may have. They are only concerned with setting up appointments to test drive the cars. I would take my business somewhere else! I spoke with an online rep and they said it would be ready to test drive by the time we had arrived. The man we tried to drove with drove like a maniac through the lots and on the streets around the dealership. Spent over an hour looking for a car just on the other side of the building. We were looking at a used Escape Hybrid. After an extensive search by my husband we located a car at the Masano dealership in Reading. The car did have Ford Certified Sticker on the front window. My husband took it for a test drive and a thorough inspection by our personal mechanic. There was a seal that was leaking... Otherwise it was a good car and we saw the conflicting sign saying "as is" with no warranty. ????? When we returned the car, we wanted the seal fixed and we wanted the dealership to come down at least 200 off the price. Lets just say, I felt like we were playing a game of deal or no deal. The manager could not be bothered to come out of his office to speak to us... And after giving us a 30 day warranty and 100 off.... We walked away. Why? They said the seal wouldn't be covered under the warranty.... Even though the literature stated covers seals. They would fix the car and charge us their cost.... No way was I paying them to fix a 20 seal and pay "their" cost. So the warranty meant nothing and we were not impressed with the white shirt sales tactic. I don't care what statistics showed I gave them the price we wanted to pay... And they didn't care. We were the customer and they didn't listen to us. They kept showing me market availability print out reports. So...... We actually needed the car for a new job delivering mail. We spoke to our mechanic and another a Scott Car sales person from Allentown and they all said the vehicle is what we needed and we should probably get the car because we needed it for work. We drove to the other Tom Masano dealership on Rt 61.... And we asked them to have the car transferred to their lot and we'll buy the car. The guys at that dealership were very nice and helpful. SERVICE Matters. When selling a car.... They need to be able to work with the customers. Plus, I think the Manager at the Lancaster Avenue needs training on what the Warranty covers.... The car was for sale for over 18 months over several dealers. Excellent. So before I went, I paid to have my car professionally cleaned so it was ready as trade-in. It took longer than expected and I was later getting out of there than I told the dealership. I Took my car for inspection and they failed it do to the front ball joint having play in it. they said it was not covered under my bumper to bumper warranty because that is normal wear and tear. which is a bunch of croc. So I decided to take it to fred beans ford in Boyertown and let me tell you that place can not get a high enough rating they were awesome no questions asked they fixed it in less then 2 hrs. They said that the lady I spoke to at tom masano did not know how to do her job hahahaha which they are rite tom masano is pathetic and need new management. I promise I will do everything in my power to stop people from wasting their time with this place. GO TO FRED BEANS FORD IN BOYERTOWN!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPOINTED. read more
