I called around and everyone laughed and said good luck. When I called Jose at Tire Palace he said, "No problem, I have a used one of those in stock". I had AAA get the car there right before closing and the guys got my tire off, balanced and replaced in about 15 minutes without marking the wheel - I actually own an automotive shop and this is not an easy wheel/tire to mount. When I asked how much, he could have told me any amount - I was at his mercy. Jose chose not to take advantage of that. Jose saved me about $1000 in hotel costs and a new Pirelli tire. He also saved me the thousands I would have lost by having my business closed the next day. He charged me $65+tax... Class act Jose!

The mechanics here have given us assessments of what our car needs in order to keep it well maintained. The prices are fair and competitive. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment as their schedule does fill up. With regard to the tires, I appreciate that I was presented an estimate with more than one option, as I was seeking a tires with better longevity than the ones I had in the past. I also appreciate that Dillon pointed out at my inspection that one the struts was starting to leak and needed replacing soon and I mentioned my desire to replace the tires before winter. He took the time to discuss with me that it is better for the life of the struts and the wear of any new tires to do these at the same time (or in close proximity). I present this as an example because I believe the team to be upfront with their customers about future needs so that they may plan their budget accordingly.

The price was adjusted upward 400% from comparable parts but I paid it because I needed it. 3. I drove 20 miles to pick it up only to discover that it was broken with a golf ball sized part of the box missing, still apparently worth 400% markup. My sales person was Brian Meddings. Do not use this person who works on markup and made good money on my part, but refused to have it overnighted to my location and made me call him several times to get status on this item. 4. The part was broken and my two week waiting period flushed.

During a roadtrip, we hit something on the highway that damaged our splash guard on the underside…read moreof my truck. I was dragging it for miles before spotting it when we got off the highway for a rest break. A man in the service center where we stopped saw my troubled face and came out to recommend Jeck's. We drove down and told them our plight and they immediately took us in. They removed the damaged splash guard as it wasn't worth trying to save and he replaced a couple of clamps that he saw had rusted away. Then he checked our tires when he thought one was low. Now there are service centers that might take advantage of an opportunity like this but not here! Jeck's is proof that there are still good and honest people in this world. These guys charged me $50 to come from Philly to Phoenixville to save my ass from freezing. I gave em $80 because it's not about price, it's about doing what I ask when I need it. These guys did it and for that I am deleting my AAA roadside, my insurance roadside and I'm just calling these guys whenever I need a tow or tow like service.
