This was a fun place, especially as horror movie fan. From my family, It wasn't exactly a full "monster" museum, as the name suggested, but my family wanted to see more monsters like Bigfoot, Loch Ness, and other "monsters". That being said, its movie monster displays were great and better than expected. Still, it was well lit, some great movie props, and the behind the scenes video at the end was entertaining.

Popped in here trying to kill some time. The staff was friendly and very informative. The museum was quick but very entertaining if your into horror. They even have a cinema and many photo opportunities. The price was only $20 for a ticket. You can take as many photos as you like as long as there is no flash. Def check this place out!

This has been on my list of things to do for almost a decade now. Finally was able to make my way to it and it was definitely a cool exibit. There is a lot of movie history here which is very cool. The museum itself is dark, a little old and run down. While I appreciated all of the artifacts and movie information they had on the wall, I would say the $20 entry fee is pretty high for what it is. It is very dark inside which gives it a good vibe but in some parts it takes away from the experience because it is hard to read the information they have posted around. This is not an interactive exibit which could be good for those who fear things jumping out at them. Overall definitely worth experiencing at least once if you are in the area, but I probably won't be back unless they do some updates.

Every time we're out in Vegas, we make the extra trip out to see this museum and we are never disappointed. Each time I've gone. It has been different and this time I absolutely loved the way they have it. It did go up in price so that was a little bummer, so much to see in there so much to look at if you love horror and all things creepy this is definitely a place you should check out if you're in Vegas area

If you're like me, someone into all things horror, creepy, crazy and weird then this is your place to be! I highly recommend coming here and check out the museum in the back of the gift shop. Entrance fee into the museum lets you go at your own pace. Once you're done with your tour enjoy the gift shop, small arcade and free movie screening room. Parking onsite with plenty of photo ops. Gentlemen working the counter was awesome and engaging! I can't rave enough how AWESOME this place is!!

If you grew up in the 1970's-1990's eras, and watching VHS/DVD Horror Movies was/is your weekly passion, this is a must see, FUN little museum! Also has a unique gift shop and small arcade. Self guided, allow 1 hour to take it all in. About 45 minutes from the strip, it's worth the trip. Located in the inviting town of Boulder City, in itself makes for a pleasant 1 day side trip from your LV stay: lots to experience, museums, shops, some hiking and unique parks, vintage public pool, interesting restaurants nearby like the China Bistro, S.W. Diner, Tap Room,etc. The Hoover Dam tour just a few minutes away. On either way, try to ignore the endless sprawl of Henderson, it's planning/zoning dept. successfully made the city as unsightly as possible (it can't be accidental). Endless traffic, a dreary mismash of auto parts stores, gas stations, malls, strip malls, mini malls, convenience stores, banal "locals" casinos' and every corporate chain possible. Top it off with miles of "planned communities" bereft of any charm. 300,000 lucky residents and more on their way.

We've driven past this place dozens of times since it opened without a second glance. Today, looking for something to do, we pulled in & really enjoyed our visit. Plenty of wax figures of old time horror movies & literature posted next to them explaining the movies & the make-up secrets behind the creation. Very interesting. Of course, it has the obligatory gift shop with monster themed T-shirts, purses, stickers & more. If you're a horror movie fan, it's worth the entrance fee & you should stop in for a visit.

Awesome little museum on the way to Boulder City. Definitely worth the stop! There are a lot of cool props and characters and tons of information to go with them. You could easily spend 15 minuets-2 hours there depending on your interest level and time constraints. read more

What a gem! If you're a fan of horror and/or sci fi films, this is a must-see. If you're a fan of the holiday and/or movie Halloween - this is a must-see. Fans of props, special effects, cool costumes, makeup - this is a MUST-SEE. Tom Devlin's Monster Museum has something for everyone (except tiny kids - they might be scared). The shop has costumes for that upcoming cosplay event you forgot to plan for. The museum is stuffed with horror film history, cool as f props, statues, figurines - there is even a mini replica of the Halloween house complete with a life-sized Michael Meyers brandishing a knife. If you're bored on a Saturday night, check their calendar because they do viewing parties too! Sadly, I haven't made it to any of the movie nights yet - but I definitely want to. They sound like a blast. I'm really happy to have a hub for horror so close to home now. read more

If you love horror and happen to be in the area please check this place out. It seemed so dead when I went and that makes me sad. How often do you see cool horror museums? Hardly! For the lovers of all things creepy and scary!!! Located in historic Boulder City, it doesn't get any more aesthetically pleasing than this place. When you walk in, it's like a small Halloween costume store for adults and children. Pretty good selection for kids but I wish there was more for adults. You have to pay to go into the museum in the back but it's so worth the $13! The museum featured real props used in popular horror films and the attention to detail is incredible.It truly was an experience. Hope you guys expand on it in the future. read more

This is the second time we visit and it's nice to see all the greatness again staff is awesome Tom has true talent we will for sure visit again since we are horror freaks lol I would say the only down side was my 3 year old grandson wanted a t- shirt and they don't have small sizes read more

The museum is a short drive from Vegas. There is a neat gift shop with lots of your spooky Halloween delights. The museum is full of well known horror movie icons. Thru the twists and turns inside this museum you'll be greated along the way by life size figures. read more

This was a great experience! Everything is very interesting, especially for horror movie fans! Its 13 to get in, and kids 10 and under are free. The merchandise is all great as well. It is a family run business and everyone is so friendly here. We spent about a half hour here and really enjoyed it! read more

Veterans day and rude customer service. Front desk employee was unhappy that we asked about the veterans discount which stated on there Instagram. There was another lady in front of us that was a veteran and she payed full price, asked the lady at the front desk that she was also a veteran and she stated sorry you already payed before asking about our Veterans Day discount. Nice way to treat your veterans I will never be back and will never recommend to anyone. read more

I've been a huge fan of old school horror and b-movies ever since I was a kid so when I heard about this museum I had to check it out. When you first walk in there's a gift shop that kind of doubles as a costume shop along with some museum related souvenirs. The museum itself starts off great with a video presentation of Tom describing the labor of love that you are about to experience. All of the monsters within were personally created by Tom himself which I think makes the museum much more interesting. It's not a place where some rich guy bought a bunch of crap on ebay and is now charging people to see it lol. There are recreations from all eras of horror movies from the black and white Universal movies to the 70s classics and 80s b-movies. If you're a big fan of horror this place will not disappoint. I won't give away everything that is here but I can't think of any other museum like this one. read more

Just recently read about this on Facebook and today finally my best friend and I found the time to check it out. Lovingly put together and a must for every monster fan. The merchandise in the gift shop is very cool, too. Not the biggest museum I've ever been to, but definitely a gem. Maybe needs an Elsa Lancaster/Bride of Frankenstein and a Christopher Lee display, but we loved all that was there. The hearse out front with the Yvonne de Carlo on the hood is wonderful, too. I am looking forward to go back. read more

Don't let the price of the ticket scare you off. On June 21, 2020 the cost of admission was $15. You will enter a world with your favorite monsters and homages to your favorite creature effects people. Nicely lit and set up. A great little diversion in Boulder City. read more

Being a Boulder City resident I was highly disappointed with the haunted house(s) within the monster museum. The website advertises $20 for adults and $10 for children. However, when you walk in they inform you it's $30 per person no matter what because it gives you access to two very very small "haunted houses". We let out two teenagers go in with our 11 year old and his friend, also 11, they were out of the first "house" before my husband and I even sat down to wait for them. They headed to the next and we're back within 5 minutes merely because they had to walk to the other parking lot to enter and exit. The one and only star was because my kids reported that the first "haunted house" was in fact scary although it was short. Biggest waste of money in Boulder City as far as we are concerned. I would not recommend anyone stopping here unless you get a massive discount it's not worth it. read more

Such a cool roadside attraction! Be sure to put a dollar in the black bill post outside at the front and get your camera ready: the dinosaur will come to life! Once inside, there's a cool gift shop with bespoke horror items. The $15 entry for the museum is well worth it. Lots of instagramable moments and horror movie history. read more

This is quiet little museum off the beaten path of Las Vegas but very worth the drive. We saw lots of full size monster props and face casts from a variety of movie stars. The Puppet Master props were really neat to see in person. The highlight of the tour was when we ran into Tom Devlin going into his workshop and he invited us in. His workshop is filled with masks and equipment that he is currently working on and was so happy to explain what he was working on and where we would see it on the big screen. I look forward to visiting when the museum expands! read more

So since I'm a huge Horror movie fan, I checked out the Monster Museum today and I gotta say it was pretty awesome. It has an old school roadside attraction feel to it. This place is chocked full of toys, photos, movie props, and information about the movies they were used in. Everything from Frankenstein to Toxic Avenger is represented here. My personal favorite is the Puppet Master display which includes the original dolls used in the films. They have a nice little retail store in the front where you can purchase masks, costumes, movie t-shirts, and other merchandise. Tom and his wife are extremely nice and love talking horror movies. If you are a fan of Horror movies, Monsters, or just enjoy roadside attractions, this place is a must!! I will definitely be visiting again. read more

This place has alot of great things to offer but it needs some work. When you enter they have a store with merchandise based off of horror movies, an arcade game and a display from a movie set. It is $10 a person to walk through the museum and all pictures are free. They sometimes have special events here like actor signings or special themes (for Christmas they had the grinch). I have been here a few times and unfortunately the guy that work at the front counter is always very rude and pretentious. When you walk through the museum it is a variety of movie props from actual movies. This is a horror movie based museum with facts and props from different movies. The place is kinda small but, not bad for the price. I would say this is a cool place to visit once but, that's about it unless the place is given an upgrade. read more

My girl friend and I stopped in today and got an amazing tour and history from the super nice guy working there (I forgot to get his name!) and we also got to meet Tom and his father and got a sneak peak into the behind the scenes area where the magic happens. I would go back to see what they add in the future. Totally worth the stop!! read more

Not for small children. Was greeted with rudeness; my young children were talked down to by the owners father, who was working the tour. My children do not make eye contact with strangers, due to their disability and age, and he demanded they listen and look at him. They were standing still but looking around. I told him I didn't like the way he was speaking to my children, and I said we would not do the tour if he was going to make an issue. He then encouraged us to do it, despite my feelings towards his behaviour. We did it. Looked amazing, but I felt it hard to enjoy. read more

Do you like monsters, blood and violence? Well head on down to Tom Devlin's Monster Museum and see Michael Myers, Critters, Universal Monsters, and so many more! Same place as the Hoover Dam (Look! A built in side trip!) you can see a museum full of life-size monsters and genre memorabilia put together by monster fx and SyFy Face Off competitor, Tom Devlin! Super rad stop not too far outside Las Vegas. read more

Meet the Business Owner: Tom D.

Tom Devlin has been working professionally as a special makeup effects artist since 2001. If you've ever met Tom, it is clear that monsters, horror movies and Halloween are not just a job for him, but a passion. Through his company 1313FX, Tom has provided creatures and special makeup effects on over 100 feature films, working with many of the actors and directors that inspired his path. In addition to his work in film and television, Tom created a line of Halloween masks for the Haunted Attractions industry. He sold his creations to some of the most well-known haunts across the country from 2010-2015. In 2011 Tom appeared as a contestant on season one of the SyFy reality series "Face Off". He quickly became a fan favorite with his winning horror villain "Teddy Told Me To", a terrifying take on the teddy bear. After years of creating monsters through his work, Tom wanted to open a museum to share his art collection with the world.

I've…read morebeen to plenty of digital/immersive art installations, but I've never been to one on the level of Arte. Las Vegas is one of two locations (the other is in NYC). I purchased my ticket at the entrance. My Uber driver persuaded me to add on the Interactive Café for an extra $5. Tickets are a bit pricier compared to other installations, but there are so many exhibits and you can easily spend two hours here. I visited back in February 2026. I don't know how often the installations are changed but the website has a list of current installations on view. I enjoyed all of the exhibits. The standouts for me were: Giant Camellia - I loved being able to touch the wall and see and hear the effects. It was very calming. Star Raindrops - I absolutely LOVE infinity rooms! Live Sketchbook Night Safari - this was such a cool interactive experience and my inner child loved it! Arte Café - the lavender milk tea that I had was really good and it was really cool to see art displayed on the table as well as the beverage itself! I appreciated how large each room was. I didn't feel rushed to move through each installation and it was nice to be able to take my time and allow myself to get emersed in the experience. Visiting the Arte Museum was one of the highlights of my trip and I'm so glad I made time to visit!

Every room had something unique, and we found ourselves laughing, taking tons of photos, and trying to figure out all the mind-bending illusions. The staff was also friendly and even helped us take some of the best illusion pictures. Admission: Tickets are around $40-45 for adults and $33-38 for children (ages 5-12) when purchased online. Kids 4 and under are free. Hours: Open daily from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM, so it's easy to fit into your schedule. Parking: We found the easiest place to park was the Aria self-parking garage, with an easy indoor walk to the museum. You can also park at the Cosmopolitan or 63 CityCenter valet, but all charge for parking. Nevada residents may receive free or discounted parking at some garages. Best Ages: I'd recommend it for ages 5 and up. Younger kids can still enjoy parts of it, but older children, teens, and adults really appreciate the illusions and interactive exhibits. Tips: * Plan to spend 45-90 minutes exploring. (Museum of Illusions Las Vegas) * Wear comfortable shoes since you'll be standing and walking through each exhibit. * Take your time--many illusions look even better through your phone camera than in person! * Let the staff help you pose for the illusion photos--they know the perfect angles. * Go earlier in the day if you want fewer crowds and more time for photos. Some of the fun photo opportunities will have a bit of a line but well worth spending some time waiting to get some cool pictures. The museum is a bit small and it would be nice if there were a few more fun activities to do. With the museum being a little bit crowded, we were still able to get through all the photo ops and displays in 45 minutes.

********HIDDEN GEM****in Centennial *************************…read more The Rita Deanin Abbey Art Museum is tucked into a ritzy part of Centennial just a couple minute ride near Centennial Center with the Trader Joe's and Total Wine and all those restaurants. Right here in Centennial is this major Art Museum with all kinds of Mixed Media. It's a lot of modern art, bronze works, and more. There is a lot to see. Even the doors are works of art by the late artist Rita Deanin Abby. It's very hard to believe that one artist did so many works. My photos are only a small amount of what there is to see and there are also several larger than life sculptors outside to see too. I was very surprised on the extra nice hospitality of the people working there. As soon as we entered we were greeted and were told a short story about the artist. We walked around a while and saw all the indoor works displayed. I heard that these aren't even all the artist's works and they rotate some of the pieces. Our first trip here was on Ruth's Birthday Week with free admission and someone there generously gave us a poster of one of the artist's works. It's normally $20. admission but first Saturday of the month is free admission with free tickets that you can get on-line.

You just need to buy them at the depot. You actually get a paper ticket too . The train ride lasts about thirty minutes and it's takes you about three miles from the station platform to Railroad Pass Casino. Then it returns to the Platform. In between the wait for the train you can wander the platform and see all sorts of interesting trains from all around the world. This is a great way to spend an afternoon. Get out and see some amazing views of trains. Be a kid again!

They also have nice clean bathrooms. The 2nd floor is the entrance to the Museum. The Museum was very informative about the history of Route 66 and Kingman. We also got to tour the electric vehicle museum. Admission was only $10 for adults. Unfortunately the day we went The Bonelli house was not open which is included in that price. It's a self tour and they also have an hour long movie about Route 66 and the boom and bust that happened. After visiting the shop and touring the museum we had a little picnic lunch outside before continuing our road trip. They had some clean picnic tables under an awning with some shade so we were able to enjoy our lunch outside instead of in our car which was nice! Great place to stop and take a break while visiting Arizona.

As we were leaving we didn't immediately notice that the museum was just above the Visitor Center. We went back inside LoL! General admission is $10/person but if you're a senior (60+) it's $6. The ticket can be used as a bookmark to remember your visit to Kingman AZ. The $10 ticket is good to see 3 places: The Mojave Museum (unfortunately was closed at the time), 'The Powerhouse' Route 66 Museum including the Historic Electric Vehicle Exhibit and The Bonelli House. Arizona Route 66 Museum ~ To summarize, the museum depicts the historical evolution of travel along the 35th parallel that became Route 66. We viewed vintage artifacts, dioramas, murals, photographs, and more that took us on a journey from a pre-Route 66 America to the present and, well, everything in between. Informative museum! Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum ~ Why is there a Tesla in here?? Well, I did not know that they made Tesla's then. There is a 2008 Tesla Roadster "The Simo" on the exhibit floor. Elon Musk launched a Roadster into space carried by a Falcon Heavy rocket in a test flight on February 6, 2018. It's a very sweet little place obviously put together with the love of dinosaurs and little children by a retired teacher. Our nieces (ages 4 and 7) enjoyed it and spent about 45 minutes there. Keep your hands and feet to yourself as you walk the path. It's starts with the breath of the old west. What did a young Las Vegas and Boulder City actually look like. Most of the history here are actual. Some are replicated by certain types of groups to aid in keeping the history alive. As you move on you can actually walk through the exhibits. The history of each era is shown in houses by the "Main Street," exhibits. It's too cool ! This is the way to see a little piece of history. That old chapel was saved and has married so many individuals. Come and see our historical past in photos. The artifacts of the era are here too.

Seemed very annoyed at being asked where the restrooms were. Snotty blokes. They need to be in housekeeping where they do not have contact with the public. Their attire was much too tight, left nothing to the imagination. We would visit this theater again due to the fabulous gentleman at the concession stand, the manager on duty, and the cleanliness of the theater seats."

I came in to purchase a Buzz Lightyear popcorn bucket, but they had just sold out. After receiving conflicting answers from other staff about a restock, Jason went above and beyond to help me. He let me know that there were some damaged buckets available. Once I selected one, Jason kindly allowed me to swap a broken hook with a part from another damaged bucket to make it whole. (Also, I still wish Regal served Coke products!) The theaters themselves are spacious, the seats are comfortable, and they always carry all the big blockbuster films.

This is the best monster museum I have ever seen. Jeff Chang is there Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week. He is a Special FX artist who studied under Tom Devlin. He loves to talk about the items in the museum and has fascinating stories about the movies he, the other fx students and Tom Devlin have worked on. The museum has beautifilly horrific affordable masks (made by Tom Devlin and Jeff Chang). Starting at only $9.99. Children items are also available. What an amazing way to take a little piece of movie magic home with you. Not into horror items? I bought my granddaughter a fairy princess outfit. The children's items are not scary. read more

Great place for a quick stop into Vegas, whether you're a local like me or from out of town. It features a pretty baller gift shop, which you'll see before entering the "museum" itself. Most of the attractions inside are replicas built by Tom Devlin himself, such as various Universal monsters, a full scale Toxic Avenger, the TMNT crew, Maniac Cop's head, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, etc. Additionally, Tom has supplied various screen used props and masks from his time with Full Moon Entertainment, Troma, The Asylum, and other productions. All in all, this is a great stop for those who love and want to love horror. read more

If you are in Vegas or passing thru, it's a must that you stop by Tom Devlin's Monster Museum. Not expensive yet great to experience. And the staff, like Jeff Chang, are extremely friendly and willing to chat it up in more detail about the museum, Tom, and associated topics. And to boot, they are extremely kid friendly. Our lil one was apprehensive about going into the museum and despite our efforts, she wasn't feeling it. That is, until Jeff assisted and showed her how "fake" the realistic displays really are. My husband & I stop at the Monster Museum while on our honeymoon. We're huge horror movie fans and we're completely amazed of how cool this place is. Everyone is so friendly there and Tom Devlin was super nice. It was great listening to his stories about working on certain projects. It was cool to see all the props so close up and to be able too see the amount of detail that goes into making them. I love that they will allow you to bring a camera inside the museum. This is a must see place for any horror movie fans. read more

Lol, so random but nice to see something diferente. Wish they had stuff you could touch, little surprises and unexpected treats along the trail wile your looking around. It would have been so cool if at the end of it all, someone could teach you how to make an open wounded or something to put you in place of the artist for a little bit. Overall it was neat to see all the autographed images and enjoyed looking and reading aabout Tom's work. read more

A quirky, fun stop, complete with creepy clowns and Ash Williams. Hope it succeeds and expands. Only issue was the price--$26 for two--but then I'm an old crank who spent only 90 cents for the theater matinee when I was in high school, so everything seems inflated to me. It's well worth a stop, and you can find online discount coupons if you look, which I didn't. A stop at the Southwest Diner a couple blocks away completes the afternoon. read more

I have a special needs son that loves masks and the staff explained everything to my son to get him started on his journey on mask making. The museum was really neat and reasonabley priced. We stopped in on Tom in December to check it out. It wasn't totally finished but was still extremely rad. Not only were the displays awesome, but Tom took a ton of time to answer all of our questions as we probed him about the business in Hollywood and about his displays.
