A solid choice for food on the run. The food is authentic traditional recipes. I was disappointed by the Guacamole, I prefer it made fresh in front of you, with visible chunks of Avocado. The owner was especially nice and greeted us warmly. We bought the Jarritos drinks which were excellent. read more

The food was excellent, and our burrito entree came with free chips and salsa, but I could hear the kitchen staff talking about how they didn't want to honor the Yelp discount in the description. Parking was free, but the inside of the restaurant appeared to be unheated and was about the same temperature as the outside. Edited to add: under About the Business it reads: "From the business ~ Specialties ~ ToLuca Mexican grill specialized in Mexican food that is healthy authentic fresh and tasty. We use fresh ingredients from farm to table. our menu has an array of dishes including but not limited to vegetarian and vegan food. We are easily accessible through parking lot ,take out through drive-thru and dine in. Toluca Mexican Grill - Free chips and salsa with an entree. - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Pennsylvania

An exceptional and authentic Mexican restaurant that may easily be the best in the greater Pittsburgh area. I would give ToLuca 10 stars if I could - it was that good, in every way! As my son said so well - mid burrito - "it's always the smaller places that have the greatest food!", and he is absolutely correct. We'd passed by a number of times on the way to his sporting events, and luckily stopped today. He ordered a beef burrito, chips and pico; I had beef enchiladas and chili. The food here is clearly made with a passion few chefs sustain, and speaking with him (Jimmy) for a bit, the love for his fare is as evident in his words as in his food. Folks...seriously...come here. Allow no preconceptions to sway you. Have a sit down and eat. You will be amazed...I was, and I'm not easily impressed like this place impressed me. The best food is here. read more

Very tasty Mexican food served here! I'm glad Bellevue has a spot like Toluca. It is much better than Chipotle or Taco Bell, that's for sure. They even have a drive through for your convenience, and the prices are very fair. I tried their cream cheese and raspberry chimichanga dessert and the chicken quesadilla. Both of these items were pretty good, especially the quesadilla. The size is quite large and the portion was more than ample. Great price too. They really load the quesadilla up with tons of cheese, which I definitely appreciate! There are onions included within the quesadilla, which I did not see listed in the ingredients on the website. No lettuce or other veget though. Chicken had a good texture and flavor, but seemed to be dark meat. A bit oily, but crispy and delicious. Very good overall. The chimichanga dessert seemed unique to me (as opposed to their other offerings like churros or rice pudding), so I gave it a try. Not that great. It may have not been homemade, since it was served in a packet labeled by a Mexican food manufacturer. Not bad though, just not very flavorful. Maybe try the rice pudding instead. Price is one again great, but the portion is decently small. All in all, I am definitely satisfied with my order and am happy to see a small business Mexican restaurant in Bellvue. Food quality seems pretty high, and portions as well as prices are excellent. The flavors are there too. I recommend the quesadilla. read more

Toluca Mexican Grill - Chicken Enchiladas - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Pennsylvania

We had been waiting for Toluca to open and give it a try. So happy that we did! We had a lovely experience talking to the owner while we waited for our food. He was so kind and warm. Told us all about opening the business and how he put his heart and soul into it. He also has a commitment to quality and fresh ingredients. You can definitely see that when you try his food. My mom, husband and I tried different things. I love chimichangas so that's what I tried the beef chimichanga. It was good. My husband tried the chicken bowl and he enjoyed it. My mom enjoyed her steak burrito. It's hard to find authentic Mexican Cuisine. Glad we have another option! read more

I stopped by here earlier today for dinner. My wife and I had ordered online as per their website and I received a text letting me know that they have received my order and it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived to the restaurant 30 minutes later and they told me that they hadn't received it yet and after doing something to a machine, it printed out. So as you can imagine I was not happy to start out with. The inside of the restaurant consists of 4 - 4 tops and 4 - 2 tops and a place to order. Their menu is above the cash register and they have a sign noting that they are not a fast food restaurant and that they prepare the food as you order. I can appreciate that, but even with twin 4 month olds at home and the order not happening being their mistake, they still didn't expedite my food and it would take another 15 minutes of waiting to get my order. For dinner on this evening I decided to go with a chicken burrito while my wife went with a chicken enchilada and then we decided to split a steak nachos and a sopapaipilla. I started out by eating my chicken burrito which was big and hefty. The inside consisted of shredded chicken with pinto beans rice and a little bit of a sauce. Due to that, it ended up being somewhat dry to me and I was sad that there wasn't any cheese in it. It also didn't look like the picture on their website which had cubed chicken, bell pepper, onion and cheese. After I had finished that, I was able to try 1 of the 3 of my wife's chicken enciladas. I enjoyed the flavor of it with the sauce and cheese over the top, but once again it was a bit dry. Finally after all of that I started on the nachos which was a rookie mistake. Between the time it took to get them home and eat the other food, the chips were soggy from the cheese. That one is totally on me though! As for the nachos themselves, I thought that they were good as I enjoyed the shredded steak with the nacho cheese as well as the spicy jalepenos. Last but not least was the sopaipilla which my wife and I were excited about since you don't see it much in Western PA. This sopaipilla had the usual powdered sugar on the outside of the dough and came with maple syrup instead of the honey we are used to. The powdered sugar lended some sweetness and the maple syrup actually ended up working for me in place of the honey. Overall it was a pleasant ending to the meal. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. You really can't beat the amount of food you get for the price. However the missing of my order, especially with the confirmation text was not great and I wish the photos were a little closer to the actual food items. What I do love is that it felt like a mom and pops shop and so i do hope they succeed. read more

Excellent, fresh food, served by friendly, clean staff. I tried the grilled chicken salad and chips and salsa, which I asked them to kick up a little bit from mild. Fresh jalapeños do not disappoint! Everything I tried was prepared with care and tasted extremely fresh. Small, nondescript dining room - neat and clean. Staff were very accommodating when I asked for extra napkins and even offered additional salsa on the house. I'm not a fan of plastic silverware in a dining room, so that's my only caveat to this review. I like more sustainable choices. But I would go back and plan to try a quesadilla next time. read more

Excellent authentic Mexican... Jimmy the chef really takes his time to make great food. No heavily sugared sauces, no frills just great Mexican. Atmosphere is simple, it's basically counter service but they bring it to your table, and everybody's very friendly. Highly recommended. read more

A friend and I decided to stop in after being at the antique store next door. It has a drive through, but we ate inside. It looks like a fast food restaurant but all of the food was made to order. I had the chicken tacos with extra hot sauce. They were great and had loads of fresh cilantro. We also had an order of chips and salsa that were tasty. Overall, it was great and I'll definitely stop by again when in the area! read more

And the presentation was beautiful. Delicious sauces! Will be back soon! read more

Toluca Mexican Grill - Steak burrito - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Pennsylvania

I hope this place gets more and more business because I really don't want to loose it. Everyone there has been super nice and the food is always good. Everything we have tried has been fresh and all natural, like what your grandma would make at home. Soooo much better than Fast food style Mexican places! They never seem very busy but hopefully they will catch on soon. read more

Just go to Taco Bell, food is better there. That's all that needs said. Owners are nice food not so good. It reminds me of the dream cafe episode of Seinfeld. Absolutely, unequivocally the best Mexican Food you will find in Pittsburgh. Since moving here in decades ago, my wife and I have been searching for a Mexican restaurant that actually makes spicy food with taste. We have been thus far settling for bland, almost tasteless pseudo-Mexican. Well no more! Thank you, ToLuca! read more

Made a quick stop here after checking out all the flooding on the Ohio River. Had the dog with us so we opted to eat in the outside area. Had chicken tacos, chips and salsa and non alcoholic margaritas. The soft tacos were the best chicken tacos I've had. Fresh cut jalapeño slices, tomato chunks and really tender chicken. The salsa was thick and spicy with fresh chips. For a quick stop it was perfect. Would definitely go back again without the dog and eat inside. While sunny and breezy outside, the traffic noise was relentless although it didn't diminish the quality of the food. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Lots more menu items to try! read more

Since moving back from the west coast, I have not found a Mexican Restaurant to compare. My search is over. The chicken burrito was wonderfully made and tortilla toasted added to the flavor explosion. The Owner and team were so welcoming and this radiates in the food prepared. After waiting for years to see ToLuca Grill finally open, my wife and I stopped in for lunch today. We're thrilled to see an authentic Mexican restaurant open in Bellevue. It's the real deal. My shredded chicken enchiladas were perfectly seasoned and very tender. Delicious. I washed it down with a lime Jarritos and wondered why the place wasn't packed with people. The owner is a much better cook than he is a marketer, but still, you gotta try it. read more

Lovely! Unpretentious atmosphere ... but the food is SO good! Tasty, fresh, and plentiful. Although plain, the restaurant is very clean and neat. Great place to grab a meal if you're driving home from work and just-don't-wanna-cook. I met the owner - Jimmy - who is very much a gentleman. The North Side needs a good Mexican Restaurant - now it has one. read more

i had the chicken bowl and got the beef burrito to go for my husband and the food was fresh and cooked to order. My dinner was delicious and full of flavor . The portions were very generous. The owner made sure not to cook my husband's order until I was ready to leave so that it would be hot and fresh for him. I truly felt like a guest in his home. He was so friendly and my friend and I had a wonderful conversation with him. You could see the pride that he takes in his cooking. The dining room was clean and there was plenty of room to sit. I will definitely return! read more

Great food and the folks working there are lovely and quite hospitable. I really enjoy this place and hope to see it stick around. I always get the chicken burrito and it is quite delicious. We gave this place a shot hoping to find a diamond in the rough. The staff were very kind but the food didn't meet our expectations. The use of liquid cheese over shredded or more traditional Mexican cheeses was off-putting. Rice was sticky and bland. Baked beans were given as a side instead of more traditional pinto or black beans. read more

Chicken burrito had "Bushes Baked Beans" and canned corn in it. Avoid company at all cost unless high of drunk.

I was super excited to try the new place! It seems to have good reviews but I was really disappointed. Super soggy chips and the chicken burrito had an awful taste. Didn't even taste like food. Just dirty, grease. One bite was too much. read more

Best tacos anywhere in the north boroughs great service and atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Very nice loaded tacos, good portion size! Nice clean dining room and bathroom. Delicious chimichanga! Will be back soon!

This is hard for me to give this place 2 stars as I love to support family owned businesses. Perhaps it was an off day but when a restaurant is new every day must be a great day. From the parking lot ToLuca looked very promising. Rustic yet fresh. As we entered a friendly man greeted us, but that was the last bit of cheer we encountered. After ordering our food (A bowl for my wife and tacos for me) we went to our table. All the tables were dirty and so was the floor. As we waited for our food the music would play a song for a short period then start skipping and jump to a new song. At one point it went from Led Zeppelin to the Ava Maria. So bizarre. Why not play Latin? The skipping was horrible and loud and we must have heard 30 songs in our 15 minutes there. But, we came for the food....We got our guacamole but when it arrived it was already turning brown. The chips which had to be ordered separately were just OK. My wife did not care for her rice bowl. She said that the corn taste like it was just dumped out of a can. As far as my tacos they were OK (3/5), the meat was good but it was really tasteless otherwise. For both of us it was clear they mixed new rice with old rice and many of them were hard. So disappointing. read more

Great food and service! The staff is very friendly and our food came out very quickly. We'll be back!

Excellent Mexican restaurant. They make all of their own food. As the friendly owner said, "we make everything except the plate!" And, it's really very good. Free chips... homemade. Light and crisp. Salsa is runny (like you find all over Texas-where we visit often. My wife grew up in Dallas) and tasty. The three of us all got items with chicken. I had the chicken burrito -- highly recommend. Chicken has a pleasant smoky flavor and it is very tender. My wife and kid got the enchiladas -- both very good. This restaurant reminds me of Mexican home cooking restaurants all over Texas, only better. So glad we came. It's very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back. read more

I don't know if the food is any good fresh but it's absolute crap after sitting in the warmer for an hour and a half. How do I know? Because my food was prepared when I submitted my order rather than when I scheduled the pickup. This was *not* a simple mistake. When Patricia called to let me know my order was ready, I explained that it was scheduled for a later collection. So there was a decision made to leave the food in the warmer for an hour and a half rather than serving me fresh food. Save yourself from rubbery crap and eat elsewhere. read more
