Absolutely not. They have small children ages 4 years old mixed in with children going into 7th grade the entire time! They use the excuse that majority of the kids attending are related to each other and cry if they cannot be with their sibling/cousin and that's why they put them all together. Disregarding kids that have no relatives present, and they do not provide age appropriate instructions. Rather, they allow their TA's to give instructions to all the kids, instead of asking of a small child can even read or write. They ask the older kids to take care of the small ones and even take them to the restroom to wash their hands or go to the bathroom. If you want your child to have age appropriate instructions or activities, along with help to go to the restroom please do not go here! The mix of preteens with kids who have not even started TK is wildly inappropriate and they use "family" and older older kids being "nurturing" as an excuse to not separate kids, hire age specific teachers and to actually provide age appropriate care for kids with a huge age gap.

When inquiring about the financial aid, he responded to my emails immediately and I felt very welcome from the beginning. Also I am very grateful for the financial aid my daughter is getting for this reason she is attending Incarnation. Again Dr. Boysen is very involved in the school and students daily life. Every morning when I drop my daughter off he is there happy smiling ready to get the day going for the kids! I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to place my daughter in this school. My daughter also tells me that the principal is outside during recess talking to the students and making sure everyone is happy! The teachers do care they respond to my emails the same day. There is a lot of activities in the school that kids get the kids engaged in their education. Some of the other reviews mention that the school only cares about money that's not the issue. Again when you truly care for the education of your children, private school some times is the best option which it does involve money. Just like going to a University versus a Cal state in the university you're going to get more 1 on 1 attention. Yes... The lunch is around five dollars but that saves so much time for me in the morning and my daughter gets to have lunch with her friends at school. Some people pay five dollars for a cup of coffee, but the lunch here is great and my daughter gets to be with friends and other students in a loving environment! I would recommend the school 100% it goes pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. It's definitely better than the schools in the area. And wearing a uniform does bring her responsibility and a sense of pride in her appearance. I was 48 years old. I had the B.S. degree, the CBEST, the Livescan, and the TB test, so I was ready to go! Most of my subbing was at Palm Crest. It's been so many years ago, but I have great memories. Wendy Sinnette was the Principal, as I recall. Some lovely and supportive teachers. Kelly Oh, 4th grade (I think). Lovely experiences here. Taught at Paradise Canyon many times, but I don't remember names. The kids were wonderful. I taught at La Canada HS and Middle School, too. Kathy Cockerill, 8th Grade English. I had her class for a few months. Can you imagine 8th graders who were supportive to a new teacher? They were. I spent several years in a charter school later on. That's a post for another time. I chose not to edit it back in case there is some way for this to be investigated and confirmed. Retaliation from someone at the school would not surprise me. They continued to jeopardize our privacy and safety. After we left I sent back the books we were issued AND ordered brand new books to be delivered immediately just in case another student needed them. They sent the books straight back to me and did not use the forwarding address that I provided to the office. Very poor protocol that jeopardized our safety.

I have yet to see an ounce of prejudice (financial or cultural). All students are treated equally despite race and financial status, and despite being an Armenian school, is welcoming to students of all backgrounds. The leadership from the top down is solid and I have yet to have any issues with any teachers or leadership.

My mother graduated from here in 1976, and when I had to change schools my freshman year of highschool, to Bell-Jeff I went. My freshman year, the only electives offered were sports, or one art class. We didnt even have a theater program (Bell-Jeff was known for its spectacularly well done musicals in the 60's and 70's) until I managed to scrape together some interest and funding my sophomore year. (Thank you Mr. Kane) This school is concerend with nothing more than making a dollar. They will admit anyone with a decent bankroll, juice the hell out of the less wealthy families, and make the money disappear into new floors for the gym and other sports related bullshit. I graduated from here in 2001 and my god, thank goodness I can write a coherent paragraph. The academic staff is a joke, many are not even qualified to be teaching the classes they are assigned. For example, a former blockbuster employee with no degree was my 11th grade ADVANCED PLACEMENT english lit. teacher. I realize that I'm totally bashing my alma mater, and I have to be honest and say that yes, there were some amazing memories, and some truly outstanding staff members, and I dont wish to minimize the impact they had on me, but they alone are not enough to make it a great school. Some still remain like Mr. James Clerihan, the vice principal. Brother Phillip, who is the guidance counselor and Senior AP English teacher and Mr. Boysen, the religion teacher. The school still holds the religious retreat called Kairos, for the senior class, and that experience alone is what made me reconsider my original two stars. But please, if you value rock solid education, save your children the heartache of college rejection later on in life and send them to Providence or St. Francis or any other Catholic school.

Perez wasn't tough enough on you, then you should have taken the book home and studied on your own and maybe then you would not have anyone to blame. I was doing fine in my physiology class with Mr. Perez. He's great. i understood the ins and outs of physiology. if i wasn't doing as great as i should have been doing mr. Perez would speak to me and offer help when i needed it. His door was always open. If he really wasn't doing his job i wouldn't have typed all this up..but i think its only fair that he gets the credit he deserves. He's awesome. Mr. Bergen and Mr. Boysen have been there for about 10 years so obviously they are doing their job just fine. Thy have to be the funnest teachers but when it gets down to studies they are super on top of the whole class on knowing E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G about each chapter. If they weren't there to challenge me i wouldn't be doing so great. I've never had mr. kane so i'm in no position to say anything about him. but overall i love the teachers and haha.. favoritism? NO NO NO its called respecting the teachers to get respect back. but when we have those students that think they are always right and always disrespect the teachers then obviously the teachers are going to see the students respecting them a lot better in their eyes. that's all i have to say (:
