this is the greatest place that I have been to. For a quick hibachi. I used to eat here 20 years ago almost every day when I lived in the area. Now when I come through, I wait until I get here wait two hours after lunch because I knew I was close enough to get in here. This is the steak and shrimp, hibachi, and one of my favorites. Great portions, great prices and a joy to stop in and reminisce over my favorite mail.

Uhhhh, this plate (for lunch) is $19 and change lol. Typically portions are great at Asian Cuisines but the online menu prices we found are obviously quite outdated. I'd hope for a bit more than about 10 mini pieces of steak and some chicken with plain noodles. Asked for no veggies and just rice, but charged for a whole side of rice. My fault there so not knocking them but about $20? For this? Am I missing food or was I just financially assaulted?

After sitting in line back out into the Main Street for 20 minutes we finally made it to the window. I asked for a chicken plate with only veggies. I got one piece of zucchini, 3 pieces of broccoli and I think one mushroom. Considering I asked for no rice this is crazy. So if you like eating sweet carrots for dinner this is the place for you!

    pretty self explanatory

Got a roach in my meal. I ordered two things of food. I brought back the meal with the roach in it as proof but we just threw the other meal in the garbage because they shared the same ingredients and who knows where the roach came from. The manager argued with me that they could only refund the one meal I brought back. 10/10 customer service. 10/10 roach infested food. would never go back.

This place used to be one of the best fast Japanese food places around, but it has definitely declined. Has never been updated on the interior, and is definitely in need. The service was good, and food comes out quick, but the amount of food you receive is pitiful. I wish I had taken a picture before I starting eating, but I would say I probably got 5 pieces of vegetable on my plate. The chicken tasted good, but was a little too crispy. My nephew didn't want to eat his.

The lady who took my order was very friendly and my order came out pretty quick! I peeked in the rooms and saw the standard hibachi grills and many families enjoying their dinners. Arrive on the 23rd my husband told them we had a reservation and they stated they don't take reservations I must have called the wrong location. I whipped out my call history. December 3rd 11 minutes. Oh yeah we had a new girl that day, wtf? One hour twenty minutes for my birthday dinner. They sat a party of EIGHT with us leaving us with 15 chairs. One person ate in their lap. Nobody seemed to give a crap. So I did not go for a few months. But Sunday May 3rd took the 13 year old for a family birthday dinner. Party of six we were sat with a party of three. We made friends quick because service was horrible minimum of three but usually 5 repeats by each of us for every part of our order. She got my sushi order wrong after 5 repeats of what I wanted until finally the sous chef brought what I ordered. I asked for spicy mayo for my sushi. I believe it was four times while the waitress informed me that there was no such thing but they had spicy mustard. I said can you just let the dude know that I want spicy mayo that's making the sushi with her attitude she walked off. I ordered unsweetened tea and Splenda then had to ask for Splenda all the way till my actual main course My daughter had to repeat her salad order so many times she simply got annoyed. After my daughter ordered, I looked at the waitress, and I said will you be asking us what kind of dressing we wanted on our salads as no one at the table had given their dressing type? She said oh yeah, I guess not even sure what that means. So I'm done gratuity added because we were 6 people. I'm a great tipper so I'm sure she did not get what I would've left, but I'm positive she got more than she deserved

I was afraid I was being punked and suddenly the prices would be in pounds or something, because when can you spend less than $9 for a huge rice-carb feast? I guess...in Salisbury. Quickly hop off the highway or walk over from some nearby hotels. It's unassuming but the money they don't spend on decor they're passing back to you in cheap prices. There's no skimping on the portions, and the Hibachi chicken w/ mushrooms would have fed two. The shrimp+broccoli was also as it should taste, also huge. My wife and I traded halfway through, and she liked the chicken better. But of course! That just meant more shrimp for me. All your 8-and-under tikes will struggle to finish half a child's meal. For the rest of us 9-plus old people, the Entrees give you additional onions & peppers options, jumbo shrimp, and salmon. All these still in the "reasonable price" zone. For our next NC trip we'll be sure to be driving by between lunch and dinner for round 2.

The food was excellent--fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. The sushi in particular was a pleasant surprise, both in quality and presentation. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and actually take your time without feeling pressured. Service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. From start to finish, the visit felt smooth and enjoyable. Overall, Bangkok Downtown delivers a great combination of food, atmosphere, and experience. I'd definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a solid meal in a relaxed setting--especially if you're craving sushi in an unexpected spot.

As we decided on our meal our waitress did a great job of keeping water and tea on our table plus any type of sauces we asked for to dip our egg rolls and spring rolls and Crab dragons (one of my favorites). Our oldest son and his girlfriend was enjoyed the Sushi. Our youngest had ordered a bowl of chicken and rice soup with scallions. I noticed he was letting it cool so I got me a spoonful and in my older years I can't handle a lot of salt in or on my food. And his soup definitely had to much. As our food was being our daughter in-law had a bowl of egg drop soup. Something I also enjoy. But she took about two spoons full and pushed it to the side. I started to put my spoon in and she warned me that it was extremely Salty. So I took her word for it. The waitress took it off the bill. I had ordered Hibachi steak and shrimp. My steak was as tuff as it could be. The shrimp were okay but nothing to write home about. So with in a two week span my wife and I spent over 100 dollars on food from two different restaurants in Salisbury that unless we just happened to hit on an off day we were very disappointed in our food. We have dined at Bangkok several times over the years it's been at this location and been very pleased with our meal. But last night we were disappointed.

Looking for fast and friendly service? Say no more. Hibachi pit is the perfect lunch spot for when you want to grab a quick bite with huge portions. You can customize your meal making it as healthy or unhealthy as you want it to be. I ordered the rice bowl with crispy chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce. The sauces all come on the side in a small cup, but you can ask for more. There was so much chicken in my bowl, and plenty of rice and veggies to go along with it. The chicken was on par with most fast casual places. I did need to use lots of sauce though to get more flavor out of the bowl. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it's a good staple to have in your lunch rotation! The price is really fair too, you get what you pay for.

We were crowded around the entrance for a while without much direction until I checked in; they have a policy of not seating until the entire party arrives (6 of us were there, awaiting 2). Once the full group was present, though, we were seated promptly. Our server was excellent--very polite and on top of things. Even when two of our orders came out wrong, the server corrected the mistakes so quickly it didn't disrupt the meal at all. The food quality is definitely where this place shines: * Portion Sizes: Massive. As you can see from the photos, the trays are packed to the edges with rice, noodles, and protein. * Quality: The steak was tender and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. You can tell they care about the quality of their meat. * Affiliation: Knowing they are connected to The Smoke Pit gave us high expectations for the proteins, and they lived up to the name. While it might not be the absolute best hibachi I've ever had, the combination of great service, huge portions, and solid food quality makes it an easy recommendation. It's a great spot for a group--just make sure your whole party arrives at the same time!
