I have had my fair share of beet burgers and vegan nachos, but at Laylo, the beet-meat burger and the nachos were the best I have ever had! There is limited seating inside the lounge and outside in the patio but it's nice and quiet. Also try their tropical smoothie which has Mango, Papaya, Almond Milk, and coconut! We had a chance to speak to the chef and he was kind enough to explain his journey on how he develops new vegan dishes for the menu. Definitely a must-stop if you are looking for a delicious vegan restaurant in Tulum.

I had the coconut bowl! It was especially scrumptious after a day of swimming in the cenotes! Definitely no complains! My belly was filled with glee and my body thanked me for the nutrition! Everybody was happy! Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff mentioned items are made to order, which is uncommon to be honest. It seems many places serves per-made dishes. I really wanted to visit for their breakfast vegan French toast. Apparently the bread is custom made at a local bakery! However, there seems to be issues with the kitchen so they were not open the morning before my flight. With that said, it is definitely worth visiting.

We ordered some guac and chips and ceviche for the table. Ceviche was fresh and tasty. For entrees I ordered the seafood stew which was delicious. A lot of seafood. My husband got the large shrimp plate w chipotle sauce which was also good. Someone else in my party ordered the octopus which I'm told tasted very good. One of the few restaurants that had a range of desserts. They had chocolate cake, flan and tres leches. The flan was the best by far. The carafe of margaritas were pretty large. They now have a beautiful space on the west side of the the highway about half way from Akumal to Tulum. The restaurant is clean and open. They a a nice garden area courtyard as well. The staff is attentive and efficient. Virginia the hostess was absolutely amazing and friendly. Her family has owned the business for decades. Our waiter was Alfredo who was excellent. All the food was well prepared and presented nicely. Everything we had was delicious. It's definitely aimed a bit more for the North American palette but this does not mean it wasn't really good because it was. Cocktails were made with fresh fruit juices and were top notch. I highly recommend Oscar & Lalo to anyone who is staying in the area or passing by to or from Tulum.

The…read moreprice point was on the high side, probably because of high levels of staffing, all very stylish and the many hostesses were quite stunning. It includes a nightclub. Entering was arduous, had to ch-in twice, once at the entrance, then a pat-down search, then another check-in, where one was required to pay for the set menu for the evening. Then seated, an excellent welcoming cocktail, a Tequila Tropical, not too sweet and went down quickly. The Christmas Eve set menu was delicious, especially the pear stuffed with blue cheese and Gorgonzola. The wagyu filet mignon was perfectly cooked to order. The only negative was the spacing of the courses; the second came before I had finished the first, then there was a long delay for the third, then even longer for the main course, so long even one of waiters apologized. Definitely a high end place, the crowd was mostly well off locals and very well dressed.

There a couple schools of fish that swim around (mostly near your butt or in between your legs. The sand is soft and the breeze is just right. The actual beach club kinda sucks. The food was small in portion size compared to others and very underwhelming in taste and that goes double for their drinks. What worse is the service. I asked for napkins 2x and ended up getting them myself, I asked for limes 4x before I got them, i asked for ice 3x before getting it myself. The waiters just missed allllll the little details. There were sweating their ass off because they were working hard but seemed like everyone was receiving the same crappy service. They played exclusively dance music which is cool but you know I would appreciated some diversity. My gf and I had a pass from our hotel so I cant tell u how much entry cost but I do know bathrooms and showers are an additional $10&$15 pesos respectively. Beach chairs without umbrellas run $50pesos each. Towels $100 pesos and up from there for day beds. They also offered what looked to be damn good massages. Overall the beach was amazing and everything else related to the club was average at best.

We did make a reservation, although the space was surprisingly empty at 7pm. We do know we came as the season is winding down, but for how good this food is, this place should always be packed. Our waitress was delightful - attentive, helped to explain every dish and the dishes all came out quickly but nothing felt rushed. The vibe is very jungle chic with open air seating, slightly covered by large leaf structures. Lots of candles and mood lighting. The menu offered quite the diverse selection of food options with a focus on traditional but elevated Mexican flavors. We started with some signature cocktails - my husband the mustachio whiskey drink and I had the wildfire. Both were perfectly mixed with great flavors. I will note the wildfire was more tart than spiced and did come with a fun flame element (sadly no pic). Also of note, the passionfruit that is used in this drink is a local fruit that is far more tart than other passionfruit you may have experienced. If you like a tart refreshing drink, this is your pick. We shared many dishes - the first was the pork rind with street corn dip. WOW. The pork rind seasoning was absolutely delicious and the serving size of street corn was epic. So rich, so delicious. We also shared the fried avocado - truly, the local avocados are heaven sent and the pumpkin seed purée was perfectly developed and spiced. Next up, larger dishes included the corn ravioli - this was so rich, and swimming in delicious truffle flavor. The raviolis were huge and there were 6 of them. The foam and nest elements while very pretty were also equally delicious. Not something that I often say when it comes to foam on plates. Finally, we had the shrimp main - I cannot put into words how amazing this dish was. The sauce was spicy, garlicky, and clearly developed over many hours. You could taste the time put into this. The shrimp were so tender the heads and tails just fell off. It comes with a side of bread and you will want to soak up every drop of this sauce with the toasted bread. If you are looking for elevated local flavors that have been carefully and meticulously curated then you must have a meal at WILD.

There's someone doing face jewels as soon as you walk in, not sure how much it was but it looked super pretty. There's a system to get drinks where you reload your wristband with money and they scan it every time you order a drink to deduct each transaction. The only bad thing is that whatever you have left on the bracelet goes to waste because you can't get your money back. Each drink was kinda pricey, between $30-$40. I would suggest pre-gaming before coming or buying a table. The music was good, it was a lot of tiki tiki. There is a beach view from the dance floor. Everyone was very nice, the staff were extremely busy but attended each customer in a timely manner. I ordered an espresso martini, the presentation was great but the taste wasn't as balanced as I preferred. It taste more like tequila rather than coffee. I then switched back to vodka/sodas. I highly recommend you check this spot out for a night of dancing and fun!
