Best margaritas I've had in Mexico! Made with mezcal (they're called Mezcalitas), they've got a slightly smokey flavor. We requested them with a rim made with muddled salt, chile and worms and I highly recommend it! (I have a STRICT "no insect rule and I promise you wont taste the worms ) The mezcal gives the margaritas a slightly smokey flavor and they're just spectacular.. and strong too! Arturo took care of us and he was beyond amazing. If you're in Tulum this place is a must for drinks so don't forget to stop by.

Great selection of mexican draft beer. Staff was very friend and helpful. A most when in Tulum.

Great place for Mexican draft beer. From Ipa to Altbier beers. A small selection of local tequilas and mezcal.

If you love beer this place is a must. They have multiple IPAs, DIPAs, Ales, Stouts, Lagers , every beer from all over Mexico. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are great.

If you love pizza and you're in Tulum, this is the spot. Full stop…read more Boccanera is wild in the best way. A laid back wood fired pizza spot with a super cool, relaxed ambience and the friendliest energy. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and honestly I've never had anything like it. It's insanely good. Pair it with their habanero sauce and jalapeños and it is literally fire. Perfectly cooked, bold flavor, unforgettable. We also ordered the Caprese with apples, almonds, and beets and wow. Such a fresh and different take on a salad. Every ingredient tasted so clean and vibrant. My tummy was genuinely happy after this meal, which says a lot. It's not far from where we're staying near Azulik, which made it even better. The vibe is effortless, chill, and welcoming. Bonus points for the two local cats, who are absolutely adorable and add so much charm to the place. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the menu has so many choices that there is truly something for everyone. If pizza is your love language and you're anywhere near Tulum, Boccanera is a must visit.

Arrived here around 800p on a Friday night and apparently everyone had the same idea. We put our name on a list, but no phone number was given so really it's a wait for a table or come back type of situation. We ended up leaving and coming back 40 mins later and were sat quickly outside. The pizzas are OUTSTANDING! I think the reviews all say that and it's the truth. The crust is Neapolitan style thinner crust but the flavor is just spot on! The toppings and sauce are well balanced. The roasted chicken was a great addition to the vegetarian. If they made cheese sticks with a marinara sauce with that crust it would be a HUGE seller! The green salad was pretty standard and not much that was memorable or forgettable, just good and as expected. Unfortunately, the bruschetta was a huge let down -- we literally received halved cherry tomatoes on a piece of bread. They served it with olive oil to drizzle, but that did not even come close to what we expected. There are a few cats that roam the outside patio, but they don't bother you much. The staff was welcoming and we had good conversation with the server even for it being 20 mins before they closed.

There's someone doing face jewels as soon as you walk in, not sure how much it was but it looked super pretty. There's a system to get drinks where you reload your wristband with money and they scan it every time you order a drink to deduct each transaction. The only bad thing is that whatever you have left on the bracelet goes to waste because you can't get your money back. Each drink was kinda pricey, between $30-$40. I would suggest pre-gaming before coming or buying a table. The music was good, it was a lot of tiki tiki. There is a beach view from the dance floor. Everyone was very nice, the staff were extremely busy but attended each customer in a timely manner. I ordered an espresso martini, the presentation was great but the taste wasn't as balanced as I preferred. It taste more like tequila rather than coffee. I then switched back to vodka/sodas. I highly recommend you check this spot out for a night of dancing and fun!

There is no cover for hotel guests. They had live music, artists doing body paint, dancers... If you're staying in Tulum and your hotel or airbnb tragically doesn't have a pool or beach access, consider reservations at Papaya Playa Beach Bar. You can also buy tickets from their website.
