They charged me $1500 for a molar extraction (1 tooth) and a teeth cleaning. Now they say that the $300+ dollar annual dues only gets me a discount on the extremely high cost tooth-cleaning that they say I need 3 times a year! But this is a "special tooth-cleaning" they say, but it's not. It's just a tooth-cleaning and there is nothing special about it. read more

I'm not sure, but my hunch is that all the reviews that drag this office down are probably a few years old. I just saw Dr. Warr last week. I am dentist phobic and have panic attacks when I get into the chair. Told them this and they put me with a hygienist named Rachelle. It was hands down the easiest cleaning experience I have had in years. She was totally gentle, professional and attentive. When the Dr. came in to go over the bitewing images he was very thorough and polite, despite having a large office to attend to. They gave me a concise and well-organized breakdown of potential future costs and a free whitening kit that is not sold over the counter at the end of my visit. I left feeling better about going back to any dentist, and to this one in particular. Oh, and my cleaning left me with a sparkling smile. :D read more

After going there for cleanings every 6 months for 2 years, on my forth visit the dentist finally examed my teeth. I was shocked when he proceeded to tell me that I had 9 cavitiy's and that I should start going in for exams every 6 months!! Ummmm Hello...did you not review my chart and see that I have been in religiously every 6 months?!? I then questioned the doctor as to how I developed 9 cavity's in 6 months as I was told everything was great during my previous exam. Also, why was I not examed by a dentist on previous visits? He could not provide an explanation. When I went for a second opinion at another office, I was told that I did in fact have 2 cavities and the rest was unnessary. Mind you, I did not disclose the previous findings to the second opinion until after the fact. On another note, this office overcharges for their services compared to other offices that I have been to. They also had advised me that they participated in my insurance plan, which in fact they do not. Goodtimes!! read more

After having braces for two and a half years, I was finally told that I was getting them off and I immediately called to schedule an appointment at Today's Dentistry for a cleaning and whitening. I wanted my teeth to finally shine after years of a crooked smile and then braces. I chose this place because it is where my mother went to have her teeth cleaned. When I called, I specifically told them I wanted a cleaning and whitening and they told me that I could get two cleanings and a whitening under a "special plan" that was reasonably priced. So I went ahead and made my appointment. After eight weeks of anticipation I went in and they examined and cleaned my teeth. The nurse and hygienist were great. When they were done I kindly reminded them about the whitening. They then told me that they do not do in office whitening but as part of my plan they include a take home kit. I was so disappointed, I had already paid them and I am just now finding out they aren't weren't going to do what I had been so patiently waiting for, for two and a half years! So I sucked it up and went out to the receptionist with my kit in hand. While scheduling my next appointment, they told me that my teeth needed extra cleaning after having the braces for so long and that they had went ahead and did it today. No one asked me if I minded that they were doing a different cleaning than I had scheduled. She then told me that the cleaning they did was not covered by the plan I purchased but I could apply the money I spent and still only owe $200 more. I was outraged but kept it to myself because it seemed too late to really do anything about it. I went home with my whitening kit that was suppose to be used over a 10 day period. On the third day using it something didn't feel right so I took it out and when I examined the spot that hurt I saw that I had white chemical buns around my gums. Luckily they were only behind my bottom teeth but they were painful and I really felt cheated at this point! Basically, if you're going to go here they are really nice but you run the risk of being treated like an idiot. Make sure they tell you everything up front or they'll take you're money and then some and you might not even get what you wanted. read more

Actually, I thought Dr. Warr was fine. Unfortunately, everything else was below par. The staff was quite friendly. The staff was pushing procedures that Dr. Warr hadn't. Worse, the price for the same extra procedure was different each time. Once, I was told something would cost x-amount when I made the appointment, but when the procedure was done the price was suddenly $160 more. The bill was immediately adjusted down to the previous quote, but it made me wonder. Bottom line was that I felt more like I was being scammed than taking care of my oral health. read more

I went in for a cleaning and exam and everyone was super nice and professional. However, I did not get to see dr. Warr as he was caught up in an unexpected procedure. So I had to make another appointment for 2 weeks later where I will have my exam. That's not a big deal, I know stuff comes up. What I did not like, however, is that I was charged $27 for a small swish of fluoride! Holy cow, they are making some money off of that bottle of fluoride. I will decline that from now on. After a brutal bike accident and a trip to the ER, I ended up in Dr. Warr's chair with all of my front teeth knocked out. I am from the Bay Area and he was referred to me by Ashland hospital. In under 90 minutes I hobbled out of his office with perfectly acceptable teeth made out of the material that fill cavities. When I explained to friends and family that I would be getting a bridge in a matter of months, everyone said "Why? Your teeth look great!". If I were the person doling out dentist awards, Dr. Warr would receive a gold medal. read more

The worst service ever. They screw up on a crown filling, and caused major pain a year later. They fixed it, but made me go to others dentists to get a second opion. Telling me they would reimburse me if result showed it that it was the problem area. Well they backed out on the reimbursement, and told me they never agreed to such deal. Plus one of the other dentist told me I had 4 cavities, and they claimed I had 6. They just want your money, and nothing more.. read more

Super staff, so easy to work with and kind. Never any billing trouble even with our complex insurance. Dr Warr is very patient and thorough and gentle. I love this practice!!! I have been seeing Dr. Warr at this office for 4 years now and he has been nothing but professional and courteous. Dr. Warr is a wonderful dentist and person. HOWEVER, I was severely mislead by his billing person regarding payment for an implant. My husband had an implant shortly prior to mine, both insurances paid as agreed. The biller stated "there will be no problem" with the insurances paying, as they paid for your husband's". Well, she forgot to authorize the service and I ended up with a huge bill that I cannot afford. Dr. Warr did give me a discount but I would be wary of using this dentist as the front office staff is not entirely trustworthy or experienced in their billing and/or customer service skills. read more

I've been a patient of this office for more than 10 years. Dentistry isn't fun but I've been treated well by Dr Warr and most of his team. As I get older procedures get a little tougher but I always get Dr Warr's kindness and good work. The office staff, hygienists, and assistants are great too. Kudos to Jill and Lindsey. For the past 5 years I have consistently had exceptional care at Today's Dentistry in Ashland, by the hygienists, dental assistants, receptionists, and my former Dentist who moved away. At my recent cleaning I was reminded that I needed a 2 hour procedure, which I already knew, but due to my fear of having a new (to me) Dentist doing the work, had put off, but this time reluctantly made an appt. Unfortunately I checked the (3)Yelp reviews the night before, which was a huge mistake. I was contemplating canceling my appt. but decided I have too much (positive) past history with this office and decided to take a chance on Dr. Warr. Before my procedure, I was given a blanket, warm neck pillow, noise canceling head phones for my iPod, and then experienced the most courteous, pain free, stress free 2 hours one could ever expect to have in a dental chair. In addition, that evening, I received a call from Dr. Warr to see how I was doing.
