We've been barber hopping for the past two months and it has not been the best experience. I really wanted to make sure my toddler had a pleasant experience at the barbershop. Unfortunately we've had the trap barbers, I won't go into detail. He's walked out the shop looking like he didn't even get a haircut. And I've been scammed on StyleSeat by Someone who had hacked into a barber's profile. I decided to try yelp since I was striking out on StyleSeat. Troy was beyond amazing! I called that morning to find out if they even serviced four--year-olds. He answered. He said they serviced 4 yr olds He said he had same day availability . In my haste I booked the appointment online but did not pay attention to the barber who I selected. As luck would have it, I was in a fender bender down the street from the barbershop 30 minutes before the appointment so I called to cancel due to the fact i was going to be late waiting on the police. Troy answered and mentions that I had not booked with him but the other barber allowed me to cancel. Troy actually drove to meet me at the accident site because he said he was heading in my direction. He told me that once he was done running an errand he would still give my son a haircut. I was nervous. So many people had screwed up cutting this little boys hair. Not Troy!! He was patient and even danced to my son singing Baby Shark while he was in the chair. He pulled up a chair and let me sit close by when most barbers wave you off to the waiting area. We will definitely be back! Glad to have found a convenient, family friendly barber shop!

He asked for a blonde buzz cut, which online "starts at $150," I would personally assume it would be around $150 because dying a buzz cut shouldn't require that many products or time. First, he put the bleach on his long, very curly hair, which caused it to be patchy at best. He then gave very specific instructions for his haircut of "2 on the side and 5 on top." He left the salon with an uneven haircut, and patchy/uneven blonde going all around his head. I really can't believe they allowed him to leave like that. In addition, he paid $205, for a second bleaching service that he didn't get to get to his desired blonde, because he didn't have the materials and his color specialist wasn't in. When these issues were brought up, they offered to fix it, but at this point he, nor did I, trust them to fix anything. He ended up offering a refund for ... the service he was charged for and didn't receive. Since then, he has gotten no response. I'm posting this because it was something he was excited to do and a luxury for a man to go get their hair dyed in a salon, but he ended up spending more than he'd wished with a haircut and dye job that he had to get fixed elsewhere, which obviously cost more money. Not only do I think he deserves the refund for the service not recieved, because why was he charged in the first place, but a refund for everything, because letting someone leave with a clearly uneven job on all accounts is sloppy and unprofessional.

I visited Toco Classic Barbers today for the 1st time. Have passed it many times & on the heels of a bad experience with customer service at a Great Clips decided to try them out. Vintage-style yet well done interior, nice barber chairs, very friendly welcome asking if I had an appt. I didn't yet they accommodated me quickly with John. Very nice, great manner - I showed him a photo of what I wanted & he went to work. Gratefully he wasn't one who tried to force me into small talk once he got the sense that I was being quiet. I feel better if I zone out & let the professionals focus on their work. John was meticulous working on my hair which I look for in a haircutter/barber. Cut came out fantastic w/great amenities like straight razor neck shave w/lather, hot towel after & shoulder massage tool. AND it was only $10 more than I used to pay at GC. Yes, USED to...I will definitely be back to see John again. (only one note: they only accept cash tips which is wildly inconvenient. I went to the nearby teller machine, but still...no one carries cash anymore. Tipping should be made a part of paying with a card. The tech is out there.) read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Toco Classic Barber, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly put me at ease. The haircut and beard trim I received were nothing short of fantastic. What sets Toco Classic Barber apart is their dedication to quality and the genuine care they put into their work. It's refreshing to find a place that not only delivers top-notch grooming services but also values the timeless traditions of barbering. I can't recommend Toco Classic Barber highly enough. Five stars, without a doubt! More if I could! Fifteen months since my last cut, I decided my "pandemic look" was over. Easily booked my appointment online. Walked into the shop for the first time and was extremely impressed with the classic, old-school interior and overall cleanliness. Alex promptly greeted me. I hopped in the chair--told Alex what I wanted and he immediately began to work his magic. The result was a professional cut and style that I've not gotten in a long time from other barbers. Then came the hot towel and massage for that extra-special finishing touch. Great customer service with friendly chat, Alex is an exceptionally skilled barber that you won't regret booking. Alex & Co. are fantastic. I had been looking for a new place to get my haircut last fall after my former barber retired, and I luckily found the best haircut in town at Toco Classic Barbers. Location is great, atmosphere is great, employees are welcoming, and there are always good beverages to enjoy if you didn't make an appointment and have to wait (pro tip - booking an apt online is super easy and you should always do it!)
