Always a varied selection of smokes. More often than not they'll have a tricky to find smoke or one that you possibly haven't heard of that becomes one of your favorites. The people that work here are all very knowledgeable ( see end of paragraph above) & helpful w/o being snooty or off putting. Reasonable prices to go with all that & a good place to sit back and enjoy your new stogie or pipe to boot. read more

ALMOST A 3 STAR REVIEW - PLEASE READ SERVICE: 4.1 out of 5 - If you're an experienced smoker they don't follow you around the humidor or talk your ear off about specials. They let you roam and offer unjudgmental help if you ask. If you ask for a high end stick that they don't carry, be prepared for a scoff or a raise of the eyebrow as though you're some unknowledgeable sucker who is willing to pay for a Padron/Davidoff....because you know, those sticks are clearly lame right? (sarcasm) SELECTION: 3.5 out of 5 - If you took someone who wanted to smoke their first cigar and impress them, you'd be hard pressed to find the right cigar here. For those in the know they have a decent selection and I'd even offer it's a good spot to find a new stoge if you're in a rut. I've shopped here for years sporadically and their consistency is a bit questionable, they advertise Tatuaje, but they actually only regularly carry one very sizable and boutique stick, not suitable for average fans of the brand or anyone wanting to test the waters for the first time. On the other hand they've been known to occasionally carry a seasonal blend that is virtually impossible to find outside of a select online dealer(s). VALUE: 2 out of 5 - I recently bought a half dozen of fairly reputable sticks here and so far the first 3 have all been quite stale. They also keep flavored cigars in the same humidor (bit of a no-no amongst purists) OVERALL**: 4.2 out of 5 for casuals - YOU WILL BE SATISFIED HERE - 3.8 out of 5 for regulars - It's above average, but in a world where tourist friendly cigar shops offer better service and selection why would your favorite stoge smoker go here? 1. If you're in the area it has good ambiance/staff/customers for a sit in smoke 2. If you like lanceros you will LOVE this selection 3. You're new and want a friendly environment you will NOT BE JUDGED and given solid reasonably priced advice. THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO BUY YOUR FRIEND(S) CONGRATULATIONS STICKS FOR A BIRTHDAY, 1st BABY, WEDDING OR PASSING BASIC TRAINING. I wouldn't recommend for a sophisticated cigar smoker. UNLESS THEY LIKE LANCEROS! **IF YOU'RE A LANCERO FAN, THIS IS YOUR DISNEY WORLD - 6 OUT OF 5!!! read more

I wanted to surprise my husband for our 4 year wedding anniversary with some nice cigars to put in the humidor I got him. So I walk up to the store front of Tobaccology where I was greeted by a team of great guys. They asked what I needed (I had no clue of specifics) I showed them a list and a price point. The gentleman walked in and came out with several great cigars (that my husband loves) and great advice as to use the humidor effectively. Initially I was worried going to the shop and not knowing what I wanted, especially bc I'm very indecisive! Having the guys take over and just grab me a great collection was perfect and exactly what I needed- and they took great care of me! I was super happy with my experience and I know my husband and I will be back again!! Below is a picture of one of the cigars they gave me! read more

Recently visited the Manassas location of Tobaccology (previously I'd only visited the Haymarket location). Great selection of cigars AND accessories! Hung out and enjoyed smoking a cigar for an hour or so, combined with enjoyable, witty banter with one of the owners - Brett! Brett also took the time to educate me in the fine points of recharging my butane cigar lighter! #Tobaccology #Cigars read more

What can I say, Bigg Chris is David Man, seriously, very knowledgeable with cigars and gives an honest opinion, not just a sales pitch. The place is clean and friendly, the ventilation is second to none in the area. The cigar selection is original.... Lots of cool accessories. Brett really knows how to take care of his customers. The walk-in humidor is stocked with new releases and old favorites. The members' lounge in the back is a nice safe haven with lockers, a poker table, and TVs. The customer lounge in the front boasts a 70+" TV as well as several other screens to showcase all of the sports action. Brett is a very knowledgeable tobacconist and takes time to pinpoint what each customer may like based upon their preferences. The members of my cigar club love this place, and we make it a point to try to meet there at least once a month. read more

Tobaccology - The B&B Cigar Club - Tobacco Shops Near Me - Manassas, Virginia

Definitely the best cigar shop in the area. Best cigar selection, good lounge to hang out in and smoke if you want a place to do so. The employees are also welcoming and quite knowledgeable, which is imperative for good cigar shops. I've been coming here for years and plan to continue going for years to come. The newest location in Haymarket is awesome! If you haven't been to it yet, I suggest trying it out. This is also a good place to go when Tobaccology hosts events. It's not too much money to participate in whatever the event is and it's always worth it. The shop itself carries good boutique cigars. If you can't appreciate boutique cigars, you obviously haven't smoked any. Many of the brands are good brands that aren't mass produced, so the quality stays high. Just ask one of the employees and they'll tell you all about it. They do carry some big name brands as well, but I'd encourage anyone to start branching out. All that being said, this is definitely the best shop around. read more

Too legit to quit! Time has proven that this is the best cigar lounge around this area. Read my previous review for all the details on the great humidor, great owners and staff, great leather couches, great events, and great selection. Go check it out and plan on staying for a smoke. read more

This place is pretty cool. Total blink and you miss it, kinda spot- it's tucked away and in what looks like a house. They have a very large walk-in humidor where we were shown some Connecticut style cigars with a nice variety of sizes. The price point is great too! This place would take some time to truly explore. I love that they give you a bag for your cigars and little "humie balls" inside to help keep your cigars fresh. read more

This is a fantastic place to find high quality cigars and enjoy them in the shop. The large humidor is separate from the lounge, so you're not sitting in a rainforest. Large leather couches and several TVs (including an 80"!) make for a fun, relaxing oasis. The people in the shop were very friendly, and (as cigar smokers are wont to do) the patrons and employees made me feel welcome. The owner, Brett, does a nice job of keeping it interesting, too. There are occasional special events featuring representatives from cigar companies and (often) great food, MMA on most Saturday nights, and football on Sunday (if the 80 incher didn't have the Redskins game on, it would have been perfect). I've been to cigar shops all over northern Virginia and all over the country, and this is easily the best I've found. If you're looking for a good smoke and great company, stop in. read more

It's a journey for me getting back into cigars after 10years not smoking them. I can't tell you how many places I've been with dry, stale cigars that are an afterthought to their wares. Now, there's a lot going on here that I'm not hip to yet with brands and what not, but that'll take time. The atmosphere here is what really caught my attention. I first stopped by here a couple years ago when I was visiting next door and got a kick out of the front door sign. That sign stayed in my mind and when I decided to hit a local spot for a cigar, it was the first shop I thought of. The tobacconist Brett asked me what I was looking for in a cigar, presumably because he knew I was about to see brands I wasn't familiar with. He gave advice that landed me on a box pressed maduro Leaf by Oscar 2012. We got to sit and talk for a bit too, and that's what really hit home for me. I found out there's a membership available, a lounge, and that they host events like UFC fights! We talked about different brands and why he doesn't care to carry them anymore, laregley because of politics. Recent changes that out cigars under the control of FDA left little guys in the dust. I'm an anrcho-capitalist, so I completely understand his disdain for the lack of support from the "Big guys" in the industry. There's more than one way to vote, and using your wallet is probably a more sure way to be heard. Looking forward to going back to visit and to catching a UFC fight there, too. read more

Awesome store, great owner (Brett) & staff (Bubba)! All of the regulars make you feel welcome and like you're at home. This is NOT a pretentious cigar shop, people are willing to help you learn about cigars and you don't get the evil stare when you are a new person walking into the shop. Prices are also the best in town and there are member discounts on top of the already great prices. What's not to love? If you're into sports there are also 4 flatscreen TV's as well as all pay-per-view events. If you're looking for cigars, pipes or hookahs in the NOVA area, CHECK THIS SHOP OUT! read more

Checked out a #cigarshop in #manassasva last night called #tabaccology. @bubbadmb is the owner and he is a very cool guy. Greets everybody with a big hearty hello whether friend or stranger. His selection is excellent and priced very reasonable. Warm and welcoming shop with plenty of leather sofas and two tvs one of which is like 80 inches. All the patrons were warm, welcoming and friendly. If you are in the area be sure to do yourself a favor and stop in there. read more

By far and away the best place to order cigars. The owner is a stand-up guy that takes great care of customers. Has gone above and beyond on the orders and packaging. Fair pricing and killer selection. Don't hesitate to reach out. Can't beat a shop that knows what they're doing and does a good job doing it! Won't order from anywhere else online. read more

A friend introduced me to Tobaccology last year and the place got its hooks into me - best humidor in NoVA by far and the staff has always been fantastic. The atmosphere has always been welcoming, the guys at the counter have always been attentive, and I don't feel stupid or looked down on when I have a basic question (I'm still relatively new to cigars & pipes). Hits all the marks in my book, and it's why I keep going back. read more

Was on my way to Dulles coming up from Richmond on a recent business trip, had some extra time and found Tobaccology with some nice reviews. This is a very friendly spot with not a huge humidor but VERY nice selection and range of cigars at more than reasonsble prices. However, what makes this place special is Bubba. I have visited a multitude of cigar shops in my travels across the country and I have not come across a warmer, friendlier, and more knowledgeable owner anywhere else. He was nice enough to let me relax in the private area in the back where I spent an hour chatting with a fellow Chapel Hill grad who played football there back in the 90's. The fraternal-like vibe here is contagious as nobody is a stranger. read more

I hate when people have their friends review their business. When I arrived it appeared to be a nice cigar shop. I was welcomed with rude service and a limited choice of goods. Be ware of being a new customer. read more

A great shop with a warm, inviting staff and friendly atmosphere. Their selection is top-notch and they even have a nice selection of pipe tobaccos and other accessories. Cigar shops can be intimidating places with patronizing staff. Not here. I was greeted when I arrived, given a tour of the shop, and had a nice conversation with staff. No one hovered over me as I browsed their humidor. I look forward to coming back. read more

I just found this store last week thanks to my friend. He gave me one of their "House" cigars, and it was great, so I could not wait to make the drive to Manassas and see what the fuss was all about. As it turns out, this place is as great as their cigars. I was greeted by "Bubba" who acted as though I was his most important guest. I told him I'd never been there but that I wanted to sit down and enjoy one of their House Maduro's. He said: "Why don't you set your stuff down and I'll show you how the humidor is laid out." He took me in a large humidor that was neat and well humidified. This was also the first one I have seen organized alphabetically. He walked me through the construction of the House Maduro and I grabbed a bundle of the 60 rings and paid for them. I then sat down in the largest and most inviting cigar lounge outside of a cigar bar I have ever been in. There was more leather in this place than a tack room and TV's as big as the Cowboy's stadium (That was a slight exaggeration but that TV had to be 75 inches plus there were a few more to boot). While I was there and enjoying the cigar and some conversation from other patrons I was attended too but not bothered if that makes sense. The couches and chairs are new leather and the place seats about 20 comfortably and probably 30 if you scrunch up. Plus there is another "private" lounge in the back. If you are looking for Virginia hospitality, a good selection and comfortable surroundings, you would do well to visit this place. I'm going back tonight to introduce another friend of mine to my idea of the perfect cigar store. Thanks Bubba! read more

I've shopped here for a few years, it's always great it's NOT the typical dark, dingy environment of most cigar shops. They do have a nice lounge if you want to smoke your purchase right there and there's 3 huge flat screens with TV, movies and sports to watch. They have a very nice well illuminated humidor and a HUGE selection. Best cigar shop I've ever been too. read more

This is a great shop. They have an amazing selection of quality cigars (and other stuff) that's organized in a way that makes it easy to find what you're looking for. And if you don't know what you're looking for, the staff is very knowledgeable and happy to help you find something to suit your tastes. The staff (owners and employees) are very friendly. I've always been greeted warmly. I can get all the help I want, or none at all if that's what I want. No one bothers you here - but you're not ignored either - if that makes sense. A great, friendly place to buy and also relax and enjoy a good cigar. read more

Seriously. This place is fantastic. Every one of the employees I have interacted with have been nothing short of fantastic and a pleasure to deal with. The owner is very knowledgeable, personable, and very much willing to impart his considerable knowledge of cigars.
