I said I wanted off cigs and asked about vaping and he said this was the place to go. I went in knowing nothing at all, and explained to Charles what I wanted and how clueless I was. He set me up with a great starter kit, set up my device for me, and answered my many questions. When I broke my device (2 days later because I am clumsy) I went back and wanted to buy a new starter kit. Will was working at the time, and he explained that I didn't need a whole new set-up, just a tank to replace the one I ruined. He also let me know what a better tank might be than the one I had--cheaper and higher quality. I would have been an easy up-sell, but he wanted me to have quality and value rather than a pricey sale. I've been going there since and have bought different mods and many juices. Charles and Will ALWAYS take as much time as I need to answer my questions, give their own experiences, talk about what people have liked and disliked, etc. I never feel rushed. They will let you try as many juices as you like so you find one you really enjoy, and Charles is like a juice sommelier--I can go in with vague "I want something like this but not that" and he will suggest something I absolutely love. The in-house brand is inexpensive and very good, and they carry Gentleman's Brew (the Wet Dream and Watermelon Falls are not to be missed!). They also have CBD additives that they chose for quality and price combined. VA vapes isn't my closest shop, and I know I can order things online easily elsewhere, but for the knowledgeable staff and carefully curated selection of products, this is my favorite stop for vape supplies!

I've had consistently frustrating experiences with this shop. It creates a feeling that pricing is arbitrary and depends on who's behind the counter. Customer service was also a big issue. Staff came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which is a big reason I stopped going there altogether months ago. What pushed this from frustrating to alarming is that I recently had an unauthorized charge on my card from this location, despite not having been there in a long time. I've reported it to my bank and am treating it as fraud. Between the inconsistent pricing, poor service, and now a serious issue with my card, I would strongly recommend others be cautious when shopping here.

Each time I struck out and was just left with a nonworking Zippo. Since I was in the plaza I decided that why not give this place a try. It wouldn't hurt, if they didn't have it, I would just continue my search. I walked in and did a quick look around myself. There were a few other customers in there and I didn't want to bother them right away. After the other customers were helped I was asked if I needed help finding anything. I told them what I was looking for and a first employee wasn't sure if they had them or not. While this exchange was going on the employee at the register overheard the exchange and stepped right in. This employee, or maybe he was the owner, knew exactly what I was looking for and exactly where the item was. He took me right over to the display where it was, and without hesitation, grabbed the item from the shelf. It was much smaller than I expected, but honestly it was right in front of me as well. I just wasn't aware of what I was looking for. I'm kicking myself in the behind right now. Because when he handed me the flints he asked if I needed any extra wicks. I thought I'd be good for a while on the wicks, but was I wrong. I now have new flints for the Zippo, but am in dire need of a wick now. Next time around, I'll know better. Great customer service.
