Been looking for a good Cigar lounge for a while now and I would never have imagined that I would find one in Jessup. The lounge must have been a diner at some point as the outside had that vibe, but the interior was amazing. A large walk-in humidor with a huge selection of top notch cigars. The employees were friendly and helpful and didn't follow you around while shopping. The prices were reasonable though in the higher end, but it was worth my money as I knew I was getting good sticks. There is a great lounge area with leather chairs and another bar-like area where you can enjoy your smokes. There's even an outdoor seating area. I picked up some Perdomos, Arturo Fuentes, and some 1926 Padrons. All in all a great cigar lounge. I've found my place! read more

The service is great very friendly feeling overall however the manager seems very indifferent. The cigar humidor and lounge are absolutely amazing along with the clientele. I live so close, not even 20 minutes, and I'm so glad I made it to tobacco leaf. It's a nice place to just chill and feel the vibe.. He is a nice baby to just unwind after a long day or leading up to the weekend. I attended fundraiser events and will definitely come back for all the events. The staff super friendly and very helpful.. now onto most people win an hour. They have a great selection thin of cigars based on your taste and price ... from $9.95 all the way to $$$$. It's so bad when a business has customer facing employees who mistreat their clients because it really brings the morale of the business down. Yesterday around 3pm, I went to this establishment. I had been previously and had amazing experiences, but the man tending the cash register was just plain rude and mean! Upon entering, he didn't greet me or acknowledge my presence for about three minutes as he engaged in a lengthy discussion with another male customer about different types of cigars. That's his job, right, to be attentive and engaging with clients, so I waited patiently, assuming I would receive the same level of care. WRONG! I was there alone and obviously a novice to cigars. I inquired about sweet, beginner cigars. He shortly and rudely stated, "all of the brands have sweet cigars. You just have to look." I said "okay, do you have any recommendations for beginners?" He said, "no. I don't smoke sweet cigars." I'm perplexed bc I just witnessed his lengthy engagement with the last gentleman and there were two other men standing there witnessing how rude he's being to me. After purchasing a torch and a cigar, he told me I had to spend $40 on cigar purchases alone to gain admittance to the lounge. The gentleman behind me, realizing how rude he was being, offered to let me use his guest pass. The attendant still attempted to charge me an admittance fee despite being placed as a guest. When I corrected him about what my total should've been, he obliged but never apologized for attempting to overcharge me. I asked him to cut my cigar, and he rudely said, "the cutters are over there..." I'm paraphrasing this entire experience but it was worse than what I'm stating. There were so many opportunities for him to provide kindness that he just chose to be rude. I've never seen anything so disrespectful, especially considering how kind and attentive he was to the men. I've never been treated so rudely by anyone in customer service. As a woman coming into a male dominated space alone, obviously I'm already nervous and vulnerable as that takes a lot of guts, so to be mistreated at a business I'm patronizing for no good reason was cruel. Due to his disrespect, I wouldn't recommend patronizing this business, and that's tough considering the owner probably has no clue a person like that is representing their business so horribly!! read more

Great place to enjoy a great stick and a good bourbon with nice and friendly folks. Been going there for about a year now and i always feel welcome. Built some solid friendships there. A hidden gem, cigar/hookah lounge. They were originally located in a smaller shop but now are located in a diner style building. This gives them lots of room for multiple lounges and a large area for their cigar selection. They have a club membership that is $200 a month, but $150 is store credit and they have discounts all the time for members. There is a lounge downstairs that is just for these members that has a "man-cave" feel with a dark color scheme and leather couches. The standard area is very bright and clean. You can bring your own alcohol and food and they have convenient lockers to put those items in. Hookah $20 one person, $30 for share between two people. Not a huge selection of flavors but this is probably because it is focused on cigars. Both customers and workers here are extremely friendly and immediately make you feel right at home! read more

They have a great selection of cigars, but their customer service is poor. The people at the front counter are not very friendly. It's strictly a transactional relationship. There is no postive conversation or a feeling that they appreciate your business. They change the closing hours on a moments notice, which is unacceptable. This has become my little chill, after work go to spot. The lounge area is dope, spacious, full of televisions, cigar/hookah smokers, and wine drinkers(it's bring your own alcohol). The staff is attentive and very helpful and while I don't smoke cigars, I'm always noticing how they are educating customers on different cigars. This review is written based on their newest location in Jessup on Rt. 1, south of 175. The storefront is pretty cool. The cigar humidor room is nice. They offering a variety of seating areas to partake in their products based on membership or dollar spend level. They do not serve alcohol at this location, but you can pay for setup. Tobacco Leaf is a great lounge to enjoy a great stick. As the weather starts to change and begins to get cooler, I was looking for a good indoor cigar lounge to enjoy a good smoke. Every time I go to Tobacco Leaf their customer service/ employees are always willing to help answer questions in their perfect climate controlled humidor with a wide range of cigars. They do have a small fee to smoke in their lounge but with a purchase of a cigar or two while you're there, they will allow you to enjoy your purchase in their lounge. Cigars are priced moderately and not marked up or over priced. There is an outdoor patio setting as well, which I have yet to try but I'm sure the outdoor patio won't disappoint. Came to a private cigar event for $200 for the establishments $40 year anniversary. The event was very well done, but a part of it was to include a raffle. Instead of announcing numbers, so everyone could hear and see, employees walked around and handed out the prizes to people who they knew. When I asked the manager as to the methodology, I was told that he ran random numbers from the computer and all prizes were given out. When I asked why employees knew all of the winners by name and why the raffle wasn't conducted in a transparent fashion, he shrugged his shoulders and didn't have an answer. . Tucked away near some truck stops and a mini mall in Jessup, Maryland. My first impression was the smell of cigar smoke from the parking lot, which meant the place was very smokey! and it was. Upon walking in, the atmosphere was very loud and crowded; which is why ALOT of smokers had headphones on. I found chairs in groups, a VIP lounge with lockers in the back and good amount of TVs to entertain. Maybe it's just me, but atmosphere is everything. Was a little too loud for my liking; with a very blue collar crowd as opposed to the typical conservative relaxed environments found with the same accommodations. The cigars! Ok! Huge selection; in some aspects too many choices; which is fine. The whole shop when you walk in has 10 foot high; cabinet humidors lined up against the walls; with just about any selection you can ask for. Of course I asked for OPUSx and they are in fact one of few who have the almighty certificate. Now, this is Memorial Day weekend and Friday; so the degree of noise and people may differ from day to day and hour to hour. Plenty of comfortable seating and options for any aficionado. It's BYOB and lockers are available at $250 a year if you need to store you choice of drink and personal stash. 2 Stars seems just right; only because its very smokey, crowded and loud. As a self proclaimed cigar aficionado, I have learned one should want a few things (I call them the P's): Peace, Price, Privacy and Professionalism. This place lacks in some of these departments. Pulling up to this location I was very happy to see a liquor store right beside them. Imagine the joy of being able to pick up everything for your pairing day in one location! Inside there's wall-to-wall cabinet humidors. I'm not generally a fan of these glass-front cabinets because I find it's very hard to keep the humidity right. The selection was good though and the prices seemed right. This was one location where the owners/operators didn't really come talk to anyone. Yes, they were busy at the till. But with a group like that you need to have people walking around making a good impression. The lounge was large with large groupings of seats and some high-tops. It's BYOB there but also there are cold drinks available for purchase. I had to lower my rating just because I didn't feel drawn to return to this place and because I'd be concerned with consistent humidity. But give it a try yourself. Nice little tobacconist hidden away in a strip mall in Jessup, MD. It has a nice atmosphere - big comfy leather chairs, cool air conditioning, and wide screen TV's. The clientele seems to be predominately male - just hanging out smoking cigars and watching TV. I've never hung around, but the atmosphere seems very civilized and not at all creepy. I just pop in to buy Djarum cloves a couple times per year. But staff is always friendly, the store is attractive and organized and they have a good selection. read more
