Toasted Turtle is a cool little outdoor restaurant behind a hotel but isn't operated by the hotel. They have some incredible views of the beach from the deck. We sat at the bar and our bartender James was a nice man and took our orders quickly. He's also quite knowledgeable about drinks and makes a mean cocktail. I had an order of Mango Habanero wings which were good but could have had some more heat in my opinion. My wife's chicken tenders were good but nothing special. Overall all it's a good place for a basic meal but nothing fancy. The cocktails are on point though. read more

Nope... lots of great places in myrtle. However, this is not one of them. Didn't get served and or acknowledged within the 10 min we sat down at the bar (mind you, vacant bar...) Bartender was macking on some girl and decided to ignore the customers who had sat down in front of them. Waited until the bartender was finally done with his conversation to order something. Bartender was kinda rude and sarcastic. The food was mediocre but sadly better than the beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic). There's no inside seating and the small area it's located, there's flies everywhere, homeless man on something walking next to the bar, and nasty picnic tables. Do not recommend. read more

This place was awful as soon as we walked into the hotel the staff approached and asked us if we were going to toasted turtle we would have to go around the back. Then we went around the back and every door said, do not use. So never go here for food. read more

The chipotle ranch sauce was awesome with the fried pickles, our server was very friendly and quick. The reason for the most stars is because it serves alcohol right on the beach. So we left the kids with the grandparents and snuck off and drank some. read more

Just visited this resort for a couple of days. Went downstairs to the Toasted Turtle. Quaint outside seating area. Bartenders very personable and so is the owner. The food is good and the hamburgers are yummy! Best french fries! ! Great tropical drinks too! Will be back if I come into town again. read more

Good news! American Express credited my charge back to me after the merchant didn't respond to their inquiry. So in case you do stumble in by mistake, make sure to dispute the charges and get all your money back. It's a win win as far as I can tell. 3 stars - Husband and I just got in to the hotel next door and were so hungry. We had a long day of delayed flights and then drive from Charleston airport to Myrtle beach, all with only eating a breakfast at the airport and the pretzels that were offered on the plane. It was now 8:00 pm by the time we got to this beach side restaurant. Needless to say, we were wanting a quick and good meal. If I were basing this review off food, I would consider making it 4 stars. The aloha burger was good, so was the Hawaiian clucker sandwich. I ordered a side of cole slaw but only ate one bite because it tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. If I were basing the review off of service, I would give it 2 stars. We are not picky or hard to please people - really! But we couldn't find anyone in sight to help us to a table. And when we walked inside, nobody acknowledged us at all. Finally we found ourselves a table outside and it took about 15 minutes for someone to come. My husband had to go inside and ask for a waitress. Finally someone came, but the food took a very long time to get out, at least 20 additional minutes from the time we waitress for service. We didn't have a complicated order, and the waitress would come to our table and say "sorry we are sooo busy. It will be a while still." It was a Wednesday evening at 8 and even between the bar and restaurant, I wouldn't say they looked swamped. As far as cleanliness goes, it wasn't terribly dirty but it also wasn't the cleanest place to eat. Also know that if you want to pay with a card there is a 3.9% processing fee. read more
