Was going to this salon for almost 5 years until recently. Asked for pedi and wax. My whole right eyebrow was totally gone. Left eyebrow thankfully survived. The woman who did wax was very sloppy and seemed in hurry. My hair was still wet from shower before leaving home. There was so much wax in my hair that wouldn't wash out. Had to go get haircut. Shortest hair I've had in 30 years. Thats not all..... pedi was very roughly done. Tried several times to get woman to slow down and be gentle. Ignored me as she doesn't speak English. Before leaving salon, my toes looked better than I thought they would. After haircut, I went home to change out of flip flops and noticed my toes were bleeding. Had to go to ER. After 5 years, its time to move on. Stringly suggest you do the same. read more

I have been to the salon twice with my Service Dog, who has laid down beside me and been quiet the entire time. I went in today to get a pedicure and was refused. My dog was calm the entire time and the employee absolutely refused me even when I shared with her what the medical condition was, showed her what his medical alert duty is, and she stillturned me away. I find this sad because I've had two lovely experiences there and really enjoyed them, but she was incredibly difficult and was breaking the law. My dog is a legal service dog. I could have shown her paperwork and she had no interest. read more

What a great little nail salon. I was able to call for a pedicure midday and they got me in within 15 minutes. As I stood there, I had some questions about doing a dip on my fingernails and a really nice gal named Brianne was sitting there getting the same thing done. She was super informative and so were the gals so I went for it with no problem and no wait. The sweet little firecracker Christie jumped right in on my Dip-she is super sweet and super personable. They call her the hurricane for a reason. I know I was asking a lot with no appointment for a dip so I didn't have a problem. And her going so fast did not compromise her job, my nails look fantastic! got done with that and headed over for the pedicure and Tiffany did that and she was amazing too, Pedi looked great!! by the time I headed to get my pedicure people started rolling in. For the record it was about two hours and 20 minutes to get the dip and the Pedi. There were three people working and the ones waiting were extremely patient, you could tell they were glad to get their nails done there and didn't mind the wait. people hugging hello and happy to see each other. Definitely a place that has a ton of repeat customers. I would definitely go back, as a matter fact I am going back in about four weeks after this dip is ready for a redo. The only negative I can say is the chairs are a little old but they work and no biggie. The price was extremely fair, ask about the special to get your toes done and a dip on your fingers, I thought it was really reasonable. read more

Great experience here. The color choices are out of this world and they are very accommodating with times and people (within reason!) They have dip, gel, color changing gel. This place is the worst place I've ever been to! I called in to ask if they would take me in at 6:30PM coz I know they close at 7, the lady I spoke to on the phone said that its okay. I showed them the picture of what I wanted done and asked them to do the same design but on a shorter nails and square, the technician did not listen to what I was telling them and I could not understand what they were saying to me. He rushed in doing my nails coz they were closing already and left my nails so uneven and its nowhere near the photo I showed them for the design! I even tipped them $15 when they asked me to pay before they close and the technician just rushed in doing my nails! He left it so thick and the polish is so uneven, this was supposed to be my wedding nail but this is so shitty and now I have to go to another salon to have this shit fixed! What a waste of time and money! I would never recommend for anyone to go to this place at all! I left this place and immediately cried right when I got to my car coz I was so frustrated! Most uncomfortable painful pedicure, don't bother paying for the upgrade-or hot stones -the massage was weak. My long nails were sawed off , unnatural short, round shape with overlapped sides & rather then repairing the two broken ones that I had glued on she patched over them. I have 2 ingrown nails that have started since these 'services' . They 45 min late starting me and then rushed my $100 appt for sloppy job. I really don't appreciate language I do not understand being spoken about me as I sit there patiently, that's pretty rude & you know how to speak English so I'm sure Whatever you were saying was not good or respectful. Have gone twice, seem to do a decent job. Only bad thing is they don't take their time and rush a bit and the prices aren't consistent. First time I went I said a pedicure with zero massage because my feet are really sensitive, so the woman charged me less than usual because of that, because the pedicure was pretty much half as long and less work for the technician. Today I asked for the same thing but was charged full price. Not a huge deal, but would have been nice to get a couple dollars off. Will still come back though. read more

Lan and her ladies were super friendly and nice. Initially I was nervous about coming here since there weren't many reviews. I am so glad I tried this place out! I previously had my nails done elsewhere and did not like how they shaped them but Lan helped me reshape my nails to my liking. She did them perfectly. The nail shop was very clean and organized. There was a good selection of nail polish and gel colors that were neatly organized by different colors and shades. Lan does a great job and she aims to please. Will definitely be coming back! The acrylic nails were over priced A full set at my normal place was about $35-40 and here was 45.The paint job was also very bad it was sloppy and they kept bumping into my hand and redoing it. I really really wanted to like this salon. I liked the vibe and thought it was "cute", however I won't be back. This was my third and final try. I always call and make an appointment, but it doesn't seem to matter if you have an appointment or not. their older white clientele, they take care of. New customers or people of color, they could care less about. The first time, they swapped me out with every technician that works there - and then one had to go and get her sons' lunch. Many, many hours later I finally got to leave, it was okay - nothing spectacular but nothing awful either. I thought maybe give them another chance and try a different day, Saturday early evening could just be a bad time. Second appointment, Kristie (the owner) didn't even write down my appointment, so again many hours later I am finally done and can leave. Hmmm, I say to myself - maybe this shop isn't as "cool" as I had originally thought. Okay, everyone can have a bad day - third time, I'm again the first one to arrive (10 minutes early) and the last one to get out. Hanna can't seem to do anything but a certain type of acrylic nail, and doesn't appear to have any interest in learning a new skill or dip acrylics. If she can't brush it on with a gel, then she's not interested (or at least that's the impression I get). Two hours later I had to go back because the nail didn't dry and somehow that was my fault. And when I called back - they said they couldn't understand my English, so it got translated to I had a broken nail. Um, ok. And don't get it twisted, I leave a generous tip every time like (20 bucks each time). I do that because they work on my feet, and anyone that works on my feet, should be tipped well. I also want them to know how much I appreciate it and yet they can't bother to learn my name (Hanna says she doesn't remember me until she sees my nail design) - way to make a Customer feel needed/wanted. I think for EXISTING customers (I've seen older, white customers) them bend over backwards to accommodate and to get them in and out quickly - but NEW customers (or people of color) - they could care less. As far as I'm concerned, I am being generous in leaving a one star review. read more

Poor service, over promise and under delivered. I've really tried to give this nail salon a chance... 3 chances actually. This is my 3rd and final visit. I called this morning at 10am to inquire if they were staffed to handle 3 pedicures, the man on the phone assured me they would be but not until 12pm. I stressed that I wanted to be seated all together and that there would be enough nail techs for our group. Again, the man on the phone assured me it was No problem and all would be fine but that I would need to wait until they finished up their current clients No worries, it's a Sunday in a small town so I didn't expect an opening right away, we can wait for an opening. However, when we arrived we learned that there would only be 2 nail techs (the guy from the phone call and one other tech, no explanation as to what happened with the 3rd tech) so one of our party would be seated next to us but not actually be receiving a pedi at the same time. Well, turns out NONE of us had the group pedi we were looking for... shortly after our appt started there were 3 sets of walk ins and the 2 nail techs would drop what they were doing on our pedicures and swap around to the walk ins. A VERY disjointed pedicure, not relaxing at all, and certainly not the group activity we had been assured of upon initial phone call. My 2 previous attempts with services at this salon over the past 18 months have been equally disappointing. If you're looking for a great, good or even mediocre nail salon KEEP LOOKING, this place is abysmal at best. read more

I made an appointment EACH time, and either they didnt remember the appointment or they over booked. First one in last one to leave is not cool every single time. Hanna may know acrylics, but she has no interest in learning anything else. This last time, it became my fault that the gel didn't dry. Sorry, but you should know your produc, i have no clue if the gel is dry or not. I think if you are an old client, you are fine, but this salon is not really looking for new clients. The lady working on my nails has always been nice and friendly and does what I want with my nails as far as shape and length. It is clean and has a great selection of colors. Not only are the surface of my nails perfectly smooth and shiny but the to of the nails are silky smooth. Kristie is hilarious as well once you get her to talk about something that tickles her fancy. I'm haven't gone here to get my nails done but they do eyelashes. I needed a fill and figured I'd try a new place out and it was terrible. The lady was nice but had no idea what she was doing. The glue was cheap, and the eyelashes were glued on halfway up the natural lash. Also when I get my fills it's all the lashes I think she put maybe 20 new lashes on each eye? I ended up getting an appointment with my regular lady just to fix them and get an actual fill I was wanting. Hope this helps incase anyone else wants to try them out for a fill read more

Probably the worst pedicure I have ever had. The woman hardly removed any dead skin or callus. I pointed out the dry skin and areas on my toes that she missed and/or needed special attention and she told me it was the best she could do and tried to sell me cream to put on my feet. I am 40yrs old, I get pedicures often. I have NEVER had someone so incompetent in my life. She stared out the window most of the pedicure and hardly even looked down! I was hoping the massage would make up for it and it too was terrible. I ended up asking her stop, not to paint my toes, I paid the money and left. TNT is close to home, I shop at other stores on Kimball and wanted so badly for this to be a good little shop away from "Uptown". Sheer disappointment. read more

I need to let people who live in Gig Harbor know about an experience I just had. I I just went to get my eyebrows done and when I walked in to the wax room, there was a group of women standing around and when I walked closer one of the women said "Oh wow!" And then they kept talking at pointing and laughing at me, and the woman doing my brows said "Oh mommy, stop it" while still laughing and talking to each other. I honestly don't know what was said about me, but it made me extremely uncomfortable. I told her at the end that I won't be coming back in because of how that made me feel, and all she said was "Oh ok, sorry." I feel like a place meant to help make people look and feel their best should be held to higher standards. I don't feel like people should get a free pass to make fun of others just because there is the potential of them not understanding you. I was able to walk in and get a great pedicure for a very reasonable price. Dona helped me and was very pleasant. She gave me a hot stone massage on my calves and feet and after a week my pedicure still looks great. My only complaint is that they talk to each other too much and kind of ignore the customers. I read a review from a customer who had a similar complaint. I'd still go back as my experience with other salons was not as good as with TNT. read more
