I was a little weary, because I had never heard of this company before. However, my expectations were exceeded. The day of the tour, our driver personally called and asked just a couple of questions. From there he was able to perfectly customize the experience perfect for us. Vern took us to about 3x as many houses than the I have been to before in the same amount of time. He was very friendly and he vehicle was very clean and nice. He provided everything we needed, he tidied up the limo at every stop, and even let us stop to use the restroom. I definitely recommend this company. And I can't wait to use them again next year for a tacky lights tour!

The tour comes with complimentary breakfast and lunch. We got picked up at the little station behind Freedom Car Wash and Wawa. The bus was brand new and very comfortable. They had a selection of apple cinnamon muffins, sweet potato pastries, grapes, and strawberries with blueberries for breakfast. The muffins and sweet potato pastries made by a contestant on Master Chef Junior and the muffins were great. I didn't have the pastries because I don't like sweet potatoes. We were offered a bag with water and a granola bar with brochures for wineries and some for the ones we were going to. The was also a scent bag with soy candle samples from Pink Zebra. They smelled great. Next on the list was gathering the rest of the group for the trip from Norfolk. Once we got everyone, we were offered mimosas; candor l cranberry or orange. We chose orange. Deanna introduced herself, daughter, and granddaughter. She also introduced those who she knew who were on the trip. She provided some great historic facts like the origin of witchduck. She discussed the history of Virginia wine and information about Virginia Born presidents. Our first stop was New Kent Winery and our host was great and very polite. The tasting was very informative and fun. Their wines were fantastic and the Vineyard was amazing. It wasn't on the itinerary, but Deanna put it on there. Next was Michie Tavern. We had lunch there and the buffet was great. The wine tasting, not so much. Third stop was Baubersville and the wine was ok. We weren't really a fan of the environment because I felt out of place even though I was dressed pretty nicely. Last stop was Horton and our host was amazing! We had so much fun! We will definitely do this tour again in the fall because it was great and it was so much fun! Happy to have been part of the inaugural trip!

I also love the fact that it's a local business. Deanna's (the owner's) friends and family love to help with her tours, and they are the nicest people. I plan on continuing to support Fruits and Roots Wine Tours, and I'd recommend them to EVERYONE!

Despite that, I arrived on time but other guests did not and arrived over 30 minutes late. My 1 hour ghost tour was 3 hours long. However, I really enjoyed the ghost tour guide and the content was Ok. The content of the two hour trolley tour was really informative and comprehensive but the trolley struggled to get up many of the hills in Richmond and was loud and the exhaust smelly. Having the older, southern gentleman tour guide refer to me as a yankee I did not appreciate- not because it isn't true but because I was raised in the deep south and more southern than him. Asking questions was not encouraged on the trolley tour.

Very professional and friendly. She let us control the music and was flexible with our plans. Even stayed 2 hours after our original end time. We hired Dennis on 4/25/15 for a Charlottesville wine tour. We started our tour at 12 noon and finished up around 5-5:30pm. We visited four wineries; Pippin Hill, Pollack, Veritas and King Family. There were three women total. We fit comfortably in his town car. The seats were very comfortable and the ride was smooth. The car was extremely clean and smelt very fresh. He provided us with complimentary bottled waters during the tour and was always prompt. Everytime I called he answered all my questions and concerns. He also returned my calls and replied to my voice message in a very timely matter. He was very flexible and allowed us to choose the wineries we wanted to visit. We had a change in plans and had to change our route around and he had no objections. This company is very reasonably price and most of the other drivers in Charlottesville don't reply back very quickly and are hard to get in touch with. I also highly recommend staying at the Hyatt Place (2100 Bond Street) hotel near The Stonefield shopping center. It's one of the newest, cleanest, and modern hotels in Charlottesville as of today. They book fast so don't wait! This hotel is also located right across the street from the brand new shopping center which is literally in walking distance to all the restaurants, bars, movie theater, nail salon, spa, yoga and other shops! I went to the office, left a deposit, and gave all the details to the lady in person. On the day of the event, they showed up with a party bus instead of the limo we booked. When I called to ask what happened, the lady was very rude and claimed she never confirmed a limo and that they "don't rent limos for Quinceañeras." This made no sense because my family has used this company for years. I had a party bus for my own Quinceañera, and just three years ago they rented us a limo for my cousin's Quinceañera with no problem. Instead of fixing their mistake, they said they had nothing available, refused to take any responsibility, didn't offer a refund, and didn't even try to resolve the situation. It was unprofessional, stressful, and completely unacceptable for such an important event. I will not be using this company again and I do not recommend them.
