I contacted the owner of Classic Taxi Cab Service who said he would be able pick me up at 6:30pm and take me the 30 min drive home. I messaged him with the pick up time, the location, destination and other details. I asked what the price would be, and he never responded, but I didn't have any other option. At 6:30, I message him asking if he's here. He doesn't respond. I call him. He says he's not here yet and asks me where he needs to me me up. I explain. He says he's still at the airport which is an hour and a quarter away from my location. He also says the price for a 30 minute trip is $125! The physical therapy office closes at 6:30pm and the temperature was 34' rapidly turning to snow weather. I would have had to wait outside (and I can't easily stand!) until 7:45pm at the earliest. I told him this was unacceptable. Don't commit to something if you can't honor it and be honest and upfront about prices . He told me to get an Uber and I explained to him (as I had again earlier in the day!) that Ubers don't service this area, which is why I was dependent on him. I had literally no one I could ask for a ride. Luckily my PT said she would help me, but if it weren't for her, I would have been stranded. This man wasn't planning on coming to me. Do not trust him.
