It's a corporate decision. I did it myself with moblle 1 for $76.06 less. Thats $304.24/hr all this for a simple quote took 20 minutes. You try it tell me I'm wrong. And I don't like changing my own oil, but I'm just saying. The quote was $117. for 15 minutes.

During the oil change the technician forgot to install the rubber gasket on the premium oil filter which caused the engine to sling oil all over the engine and chassis. I noticed the amount of smoke the following day emitting from behind the vehicle and when I pulled over on the side of the highway the dipstick wasn't registering any oil. I was across the road from a convenience store and was able to purchase 3 qts of oil to put in it. I called Valvoline and they were open and told me to drive it in if I could. I will say the staff that was there that day wasn't the same as the staff the day prior and were very apologetic about the whole incident. The mechanic in charge diagnosed the issue as a missing gasket and proceeded to change the oil and put new filters on again as well as scrub as much oil off as they could. The car leaked a good quart out on my driveway overnight that wasn't easy to clean up. Not sure if the technician was just having a bad day or if this is a consistent problem with this store but regardless I will not consider them for the next oil change and I'd advise others to heed caution as well.

The broken parts then made their way into my engine, completely ruining my engine and making my car in operable. I tried contacting Chevy, but they have shown me that they do not care about my situation or apparently the safety of their customers. Today was the 2nd time something like this happened out there. I took my 03 pickup in yesterday and told Kevin I think the starter is going out. He called this morning and said they pulled it in, looked at it and found the nut holding the power cable on had backed off just enough to lose connection intermittently. They could have just stuck a new starter on and charged $300 or $400. They charged a half hour labor and handed the key back with a smile. It's stuff like that that keeps folks coming back. I wish they worked on boats too. I can't express to you how highly I recommend these guys.
