The new location is really nice--quite the upgrade from their previous location. In past experiences, there was superb help in selecting & trying on shoes, which is why we went there. My husband had no idea what his shoe size is. Nor did I know because he always bought his own stuff. This having to do EVERYTHING for my man is a new experience. So I was shocked & dismayed that there wasn't a shoe guy to help. WTF? No more customer service in that shop. When I asked about the shoes, the guy said, "we just got these. I don't know anything about them ". What?? They used to be able to give the stats about everything on the shelf. So, I bit the bullet & became the shoe salesman. Pisses me off. Paid almost $200 for a pair of shoes that I had to sell to my man. Not impressed. I would have gone elsewhere but I couldn't handle another episode like that. This is a nice store, but the help went south. Where is that older guy who was so knowledgeable & helpful? These guys were nice but totally stressed me out.

(Review overdue.!)…read more So far everyone here has been Great! A huge Thank You to All the staff that was working on this Tuesday the 6th of September ! I originally went in wanting to exchange or return for store credit, a pair of flip flops that had too short a shelf life. After talking to the extreme experts on outdoor footwear I was sold on my 1st pair of Chaka's. I was even debating on color & these guys, these most impressive experts even steered me in the right direction on that too! Since I purchased these Chaka Z1 Classics, I've taken them to 5 states, worn them in the ocean, the indoor & outdoor showers. I've pretty much only taken them off to sleep! Haha THANKS BUNCHES Jeremy, Doug, Dave, Thomas, & Ky! Chaka's for life ! Puppy Friendly! (9/6/22)

We also could not find any employees available on the sales floor to assist her. She went to the front to ask for help, and the employee responded rudely, saying they couldn't leave and would send someone to assist--but no one came. After waiting about 15 minutes, another employee walked by. When asked for help, they responded in a rude manner, saying they had too much to do, and only briefly pointed out where the item was instead of actually helping. Customer service like this is frustrating and unprofessional. If the item wasn't needed, we would have walked out. Definitely reconsidering shopping here again.

We were in a bit of a rush, so after trying a few on, I accidentally left my purse hanging on one of the racks. We headed to the lake without realizing it. It wasn't until we were leaving that I noticed my purse was missing. The store was already closed, so all I could do was hope it was still there. Thankfully, nothing in my accounts had been compromised. We went back right when the store opened, and there were Sal and Peter, waiting for us to come claim it. My purse was completely untouched -- everything was still inside. I offered them a reward, but they refused. Sal and Peter, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your honesty, kindness, and integrity. In a world where we often hear about the bad, you reminded us that there are still genuinely good people out there. Big 5 is truly lucky to have you both. Thank you for restoring a little bit of our faith in humanity. Good people still exist. We just have to remember to recognize and appreciate them.

I'm writing this review to highlight my experience at Ace in St. George, Utah and give credit where…read morecredit is due. An associate by the name of Mike F., has been an excellent resource in helping me in a couple of very important projects. Today was no exception. I'm building a new shop in my back yard and since the shop has a loft, I needed someone to help me put together a plan for a pully system a little more complicated than just a basic system. Explaining to Mike what I was wanting to accomplish, he completely understood that this wasn't just a basic shop I was building and that I wanted to add a little more "cool factor" to the hatch lid system. Probably not a big deal to many, but for some of us, it helps to display our craftsmanship a little better. Mike, who has excellent people skills, takes great pride in his personal appearance and writes with a fountain pen, is very unique and really stands out in today's world of business associates. He started building the system as we spoke and as we were gathering materials, he explained not only the how, but the whys behind every piece while putting it together. In the end, I had a much better, robust and cooler pulley system than I had originally imagined, and it's going to be an awesome addition to the shop. Thanks Mike! Today turned out to be a great one.

GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A BIGGER BUSINESS THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT YOU! They will ship your packages days AFTER the projected ARRIVAL date and take a "that's your problem" stance when you call customer service. Then your packages will get rerouted all over, which is apparently common with AL's (seriously mine was 20 minutes away from my home at one point and is now 1000+ miles away).
