Sam was able to do a trigger job on a project 1 for me when I couldn't get others to do it. Came out so damn good! I was honestly regretting my purchase initially, but now it feels like a high end 2011. Was able to put the tightest group bill drill group I've ever had in under 2 seconds. Very please. I ordered a NFA item from them. I live in Mississippi and put it on layaway. My dog died the next day and I was quite bummed and totally forgot about it. I got a reminder that my layaway was coming to an end. I payed the remainder and they immediately shipped the item to my 2nd choice of SOT's cause the first was waiting for their hard copy from the ATF for 3 weeks. They promptly shipped it, and one of the managers followed up until all of the processing was done. I got approved in 2 hours through a Silencer Shop kiosk so I would recommend that service also. There are some bogus reviews on here where I suspect that either a competitor, or an anti 2A type is trying to bring down their score. Give these guys your business, you won't be disappointed. Made a purchase on their website for an Eotech that was on sale. Was called later by the store to tell me that it was a price mistake and that the owner would not honor the sale price. About an hour after this call the President of Modern Warrior called to apologize for what had happened. I was taken aback as he had received word of the incident and wanted to make it right. He personally sent me an invoice for the item at the sale price. This is excellent customer service. read more

This is in response to the message on my initial review dated May 15, 2025 and Todd V's response on May 16, 2025. Todd, it really doesn't matter how Modern Warriors came to be the owners of the Nashville Armory. I am sure there is plenty of story there that I will be getting wrong as I am not an "insider". So, if you guys took over the leases, good for you. Your comment that Kimberly Kato has or had another full time job is wrong. I don't know what your people are telling you, but that is not factual. But, since you are not an "insider" to her life; you wouldn't know that. Kato was offered to stay if she would commit to 30+ hours per week, which she could not do. She did offer to handle the GSSF, do private lessons (by the way her students loved her), and offered 2 firm days per week. But, your manager was quick to say no and had the finalized paperwork ready to go. My suspicion is that Kato did not fit Modern Warriors type, but without any "insider" knowledge, I am sure I am wrong on that too. The guys you left to run the GSSF competition this past Tuesday night on June 3rd (which was the end of the quarter and was prize night) ran the match in an unorganized manner, did not have the gun certificate available for the winner as they could not find it, prizes were scarce since they could not find those, one of the contestants had to input and sort the scores. I say this as having competed in probably 95% of the GSSF matches at your facilities in Franklin and Nashville over the past 4 years. So, I consider myself an "insider" on that activity. Now, to the Holosun incident. No problem. You can make excuses for your guys all you want. But, whomever it was...being new had nothing to do with picking up a phone and calling the mother ship in Nashville to find out. No experience necessary as I know the guy knew how to use a phone as he had his out when I walked up to the counter. Kato is fine. She is actually very comfortable with the blessing in disguise. I just don't like people doing good people wrong. I am a business man too. And, I know that I have to make difficult decisons and cannot make everyone happy. You do not have to tell me that. But, I also have a right to speak my mind when I feel that a wrong has been done. Hope you understand. read more

Wow! What an amazing inventory of firearms and accessories! The work force was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Unfortunately, I live in California and all the guns I "loved" are not legal here. I did however pick up some necessities at great prices. I was warned by several people not to do business with Modern Warrior due to their reputation for delayed and rejected NFA items, as well as horrible customer service, but the free tax stamp deal sucked me in. Big mistake. During the filing process, it was delayed on their end and wasn't processing after waiting for a week with the excuse "he isn't here today" every time we needed something done. I decided to request a refund, and was initially told I'd get a call about it--never happened. When I showed up in person to resolve it, I was granted a refund, minus a $25 fee. I was told that this fee was what they were charged by SilencerShop for using the kiosk. I spoke with the manager and explained that the delay was on their end, asking if they could refund the fee, but they flat out refused. So, I drove down the street to Al's Sporting Goods and processed everything the same day, no issues at all. Save yourself the hassle--avoid Modern Warrior at all costs. In response to Todd: The email was not wrong it was a different email used to create the silencer shop account, A new E forms account was made in less than 5 minutes and then the error was on the last step for modern warriors to insert the pin. Everything was not worked out at modern warriors that caused ALS Sporting to go smoothly as they do not use a kiosk. Now I tried to work things out with the management for the $25 but since you guys rather charge then to make a deal I guess you will exchange a bad reputation for $25. read more

Make sure to check around before you purchase firearms here most are 10-25% higher than gun shops only miles away. I saved $400 by buying my Vector down the road 2 miles. A dozen employees working. A whole cluster of them standing around in a corner shooting the shit (no pun intended). No greeting upon entering, nor even when a couple of them passed by me. As a matter of fact, the one looked at me and my friend and seemed like he couldn't get away fast enough. I clearly could have used some assistance (wasn't browsing; went straight to the ammo selection and was searching). I work in the industry as well (frontline), so had heard from different people about their negative experiences here (there are a couple of other industry establishments I know of, ones with great reputations, that refuse to have anything to do with them.) But man, it's one thing to hear about something and experience it firsthand. Even when I took my ccw class here I got that 'exclusive vibe' (had no idea how bad it was, though, because I wasn't in the shop). It is VERY OBVIOUS by the younger staff and exclusive vibe here that it's all about the 'tacticool' crowd. If you're not (something I clearly am not, nor plan to be), YOU DON'T MATTER. The only reason I even gave them a one star rating is because of the setup itself. It IS cool. But yeah... that's all they deserve. read more

Went to another gun shop because they were down the street from my house and got quoted $250 to do some minor work on my lever action 44mag. Blown away with the price, I decided to drive that extra 15 mins to modern warriors and I couldn't be happier. Immediately was directed to the gunsmith area and he not only fixed my gun in 10 mins but also told me "it's on the house." WE NEED MORE BUSINESSES LIKE THIS! I haven't stepped foot in the door but I assure you this place is amazing. I live in Vegas and I'm constantly surfing online looking for gems like this. The staff is great, I call and get someone on the phone within a ring or two, it's the people working here that makes the difference. When I call, I inVision another advocate picking up the phone on the other side with a side arm strapped to his waist delivering knowledgeable information at my request. (I don't think I'm to far off). These guys are great, I call they answer. I ask, they deliver. I called to confirm a few items bought and the man on the other end said "yes sir just put the shipping label on it". Thank god the big guys suck so smaller gems like Modern Warriors can shine. I had some issues with an order, to no fault of Modern Warriors. It was a vender issue and they didn't hesitate to make it right. The manager on deck Todd is as solid as they come. He made things right and made it easy. Lastly to add, as stated before I'm constantly looking at local inventory and offerings. Surfing websites etc.. They keep a lot of inventory on their website and appears they update it frequently. This is what actually grabbed me as a customer. I now browse the site looking for what I need before going to any big box sites that we are accustomed too. Really felt like a VIP when I visited this store! I had 3 different salesmen attending to my needs. First the firearm salesmen doing a thorough job of educating me and offering me a variety of options in my desired type of pistol. Then the custom made conceal carry holster maker, Bryce, giving me my options. He also helped me choose ammo for business and pleasure. ;) Finally the last salesman recommending easy reload gadgets and helping me cover all bases. This might be one of the nicest gun shops I've ever been to. The store itself is designed very well. The selection of weapons is breathtaking. It's akin to a fine art gallery. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and they all looked like they enjoyed being there. You're even allowed to go behind the counter and take the rifles off the wall to check them out.
